Xoom 3.1 upgrade fails? - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Trying to update Canadian Xoom with 3.1 (it is available ota) however,
The update downloads, the devices reboots, the recovery mode starts, a progress bar progresses (goes about 30%), then android logo with exclamation mark stays on for some time, the device reboots and a message pops up: "Update Failed".
It reboots to 3.0.1
I have also tried doing this after a factory reset from the settings menu.
Edit: not rooted stock 3.0.1

HELP!!! Stuck on 4.1.2 update!

Hey guys! I just got a used xoom tablet, had 4.1.1 installed, the device was not rooted. I did a factory wipe and after a restart it was telling me to install the 4.1.2 update. So I click to install, it resets and is now stuck on the green android guy and the progress bar is stuck at about 25%. Ive done the volume up power reset, takes me to the same spot. The progress bar isn't moves to about 25% and stops but the symbol in the droids chest is spinning. When I try to get to recovery, im stuck at the 'Starting Fastboot Protocol support' message.
I wish I hadn't updated, this sucks! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thanks!

[Q] Stuck in "Android system recovery" & Mount SDCARD failed

I am not exactly sure what happened, but I am stuck in the "Android system recovery <3e>" menu. I had unlocked the phone before and was trying to relock it and get it back to stock because the new update wouldn't install.
While the HTC update utility was installing the stock firmware, I think the cable came loose at some point because it stopped part way. Now it boots, shows the HTC logo, goes black and then eventually shows a phone lying down with a red triangle and an exclamation point. I can push vol+/power to get "Android system recovery" to show up, but that seems to be all. It says "Mount SDCARD failed".It will only boot to this menu. I cannot load the bootloader or anything else so I can't seem to use fastboot or adb and can't seem to copy any files onto the phone. Does anyone have any ideas? Is it totally bricked?
Edit: doing a factory reset from recovery does nothing.
Edit2: Sorry!!! False alarm. After spending about an hour going back and forth with this and finally breaking down and posting about it on XDA, suddenly the bootloader DID appear. I have absolutely no idea what I did differently. I guess the 500th try was the charm. Reflashing stock now!

[Q] Firefox OS Problems with RECOVERY

I have a Nexus S and currently have Firefox OS running (Boot2Gecko 1.1.0hd-prerelease), I am having the following problems
1. Can't update the OS from the Check for Updates option in Settings. It always fails when I check for updates with a message that says "There was an Error Checking for Updates"
2. If I reboot my phone into the bootloader and select recovery, I get a picture of the android logo with a Red Triangle with an Exclamation mark. The phone shows this logo and reboots by itself into Firefox
I need help in removing Firefox and getting back to Android.
Please help me
Cheers

[Q] Nexus 6 (CM12) Won't Boot Properly (URGENT!)

Hello XDA!
This morning, I attempted to flash Cyanogenmod 12 (CM12) onto my Google Nexus 6 using this youtube tutorial that I cannot link in this post, because I am a new member. The title of the video is "How to install CyanogenMod 12 Official Lollipop on the Nexus 6" It can be found on youtube.
Whenever I boot up the phone, it shows the "Google" screen. then the Cyanogenmod boot animation appears. A white popup shows up saying "Android is Starting Up. Finishing Boot" The entire screen then comes to life with cyanogen's default background. Finally, an error message consumes the screen saying "ENCRYPTION UNSUCCESSFUL. Encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible. To resume using your phone, we need to preform a factory reset. When you restore your phone after the reset, you'll have an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to your google account." The only button shown on the screen says "RESET PHONE". If clicked, the phone reboots, but before it can boot it gets stuck loading the TWRP Recovery application. What happens is, it'll show the TWRP logo, then the screen will turn off, then it'll show the TWRP logo again, then this loop will repeat endlessly. The only thing that I could do was reboot the phone into the boot loader by holding down the power button, and the volume down button. From here, I attempted to boot into recovery mode. The same thing happens, the TWRP screen loads, then disappears, and that just repeats itself endlessly. I also tried to preform a factory reset, but that didn't work.
As you can see, I really need some help.
The encryption failing may be caused because I came off of a custom ROM where I had the phone's encryption disabled.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, and if I can provide any information, please ask.

Help please - tablet won't load

Hi - my Nvidia shield K1 was suffering from battery drain issues after the latest updates to the point where it only showed as having an hour or so of run time from 100%. I followed a video guide and managed to successfully unlock the boot loader and downloaded earlier official recovery images from the nvidia site. I used various programs and successfully flashed the image over to the tablet. However, when the tablet reboots and goes to initialize and run for the first time after flashing i encounter the following problem; the screen turns on and a grey box appears with 'Android is starting' in and proceeds to 'optimising apps (number) of 114' (or whatever the number of apps is). This completes then the tablet goes to the android, Nvidia logo screen and stays on it for a few minutes before returning to the 'Android is starting' box again and re-optimising all the apps again before going again onto the logo screen. I tried with the 1.5.0 and 1.4.0 images but had the same result from both.
Can anyone help me with any suggestions of how to stop this boot loop and which recovery image to use that will take my tablet back to a time when the battery life was high again. Thanks in advance
