With the google tv emulator released I wonder if source code will follow soon, and if nujtndies will we be able to get Google TV running on the transformer?
Obviously the tv passthru would not work since we only have 1 HDMI port, but it might still be interesting for other apps. Use your phone to control the Transformer while connection d o the tv using the nice google tv interface.

Sweet. I've been eyeballin OnLive for a while. The controller connects wirelessly over wifi directly to onlive servers to reduce lag going through the device.
Probably wouldn't work outside of onlive service since the controllers are probably preprogrammed to call out to momma.
Could setup a router to port forward it your tablet instead of passing it through to the wan port....

One of the articles Ive read claims the universal remote will also have bluetooth. either way its another cool option for "portable gaming consoles" rather than just a handheld.
also the EVO2 controller from envisions might be great for emulators. it looks similar to the xbox controller and the EVO2 box is basically an android device with no screen so it may be easy to get working with other androids
now that google tv is android based is it possible to port the software to other devices such as an apple tv the boxee box or even a pc
With all the new apps and wireless technologies available now, is there a way to get the same "cast" functionality going through an XBOX connected [not smart]TV with your phone?
I have a stock/unrooted Samsung Note 3 and XBOX 360 and want to mirror my phones screen and control some apps like you can with the Chromecast, mainly a web browser on the XBOX.
Thank you for any help!!
I have my shield tablet hooked up to my TV the majority of the time in console mode. The regular Netflix app is not very user friendly while using a remote. The latest Netflix app for Android TV will install on the shield but when you open it you get an error that it is not compatible. If you are not in console mode and rotate your device the error disappears and you can control the app with a controller and touch controls do not work.
Is there another way to bypass this error so you wouldn't have to rotate the device each time you want to watch Netflix and be able to launch in console mode?
Sorry for reviving an old thread but I'm wondering this myself.
Currently support for controller is **** on non-android tv netflix.
Solved!
Hey, i recently purchased a nexbox a95x tv box.
but i have one issue the supplied remote does not work with hulu, it works with keyboard and mouse or the mouse button on the remote but that is slow.
The hulu app for fire tv works with the fire tv remote so it should be possible on a tv box, although the fire remote isnt i.r.
The box has android 5.1 with root i believe, if anybody has any suggestions that would be great.
I have another on order, that i am looking to develope a bit with, android 6.0 with leanback hopefully...

Update:
I found the reason hulu will not work, the hulu downloaded from play store is the touch version
Went and downloaded Hulu for android tv and all is great, now onto more enjoyable things...
