Here is the port of CM6.2 (Froyo 2.2.1).
It's an Alpha release, so there are few problems that need to be fixed.
It's not the final kernel ... Dharam is working on it.

HOW TO INSTALL :
- Unpack the zip archive
- Put your phone in download mode
- Launch Odin and tick "one package" option
- Flash the extracted tar file with odin
- In the recovery menu, wipe data/factory reset

well for that first g3mod kernel should work properly with this...
only problem is that wifi is not working...
it should be solved soon enough...

Not necessary, because those features are only included in the "initramfs" folder...but if he start to add features that are included in the "Kernel", then the source is required.
What about the features he is planning to add? I guess I bunched them together

but ecliar is buggy... so i got plenty of errors while compiling
so, i just want to build a base kernel and add the features gradually... this will be the best choice of work with minimal errors

Those errors suppose to appear while compiling. It seems like it is still much better to build kernels in Froyo...anyways, thanks for the reply, and also, you should add Voodoo Sound v10 in your kernel! here is a clean commit I made : https://github.com/JPurungrit/PuruKernel-G3/commit/c7bf85a4f8d83204c792fb8411407ce07958219f Try it in Eclair! When the phone goes into deep sleep, you can't unlock it anymore, because of a kernel panic.
3g isn't working. WiFi is partly working (it works for marcellusbe, but not for me)

I found this on one of the forums on XDA.. It's unofficial, but pretty neat.. I've resized it for our phone.. Credits to nozerogravity and the original thread can be found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782074).
Copy the zip to /system/media .. Kept getting errors when I tried to make a CWM zip..
Really, with this port, nobody can doubt that you're the best developer for our phone ...

This is a project I started after building CM 10, Paranoid Android and PAC-man for the Galaxy Exhibit. It branched to the Galaxy W because of the similarity of our phones and then was asked to build it for Galaxy S plus I have to admit I was a little nervous building for phones I do not own but what the hey. For flashing this rom in all recoverys ( as TWRP) you have to update the API of flashable zip in API 3. Thanks AlessandroXCV for the info
This is my recommended JB gapps works great for me and is highly customize-able JusTunBean JB4.2 aroma v4.1.2 Please follow his directions for Aroma and you wont be disappointed. This is just my preference you can install any gapps you like.

Sorry I forgot to add liblights Flash this in CWM.
Okay first impression:
- AWESOME!
At the beginning the launcher is a bit laggy but after some seconds its as smooth as butter
Bugs:
- Weird animation off (some weird stripes across my screen)
- after unlock an dark and not lighted screen
- no camera (but we know that)

Why did I choose to make a 4.1.1 Touchwiz MIUI, and not a 4.2.2 Cyanogenmod MIUI?
The anwser is simple : the version, in MIUI doesn't matter, between both.
4.1.1 will be more stable, more efficient, better and with a great battery life, than a 4.2.2 which is on early beta state.
With Touchwiz based MIUI, you can install Samsung Apps.
It's based on official MIUI rom, so no FC, no bug and so on.
First boot could take more than 2mn.

How to install

Copy the release you choosed in your external sd card. (exemple, STABLE_MIUI-i9305-4.6.20-mod.zip )
Launch recovery (Volume Up + Home + Lock )
Wipe Data/Factory.
Go to "Install zip"
"Choose zip from external sdcard"
Now navigate to the MIUI zip.
Push Yes.
When it's finish, come back to Menu.
Go to Advanced.
"Wipe Dalvik Cache"
When it's finish, you have a fully working MIUI!
How to enable LTE
- Open the WSM Tools app (include), and click Install.
- Reboot.
- Open WSM Tools, and look if Intelli3G is check.
- Open Intelli3G, and apply this configuration :
- LTE should be enable now.
For check, go to Settings, Mobile Network, Network Type Selection, and check if you have this screen :
If yes, LTE is enable.

I test the 3.8.2 for 4 hours and there is only one thing, if there is a 4 way reboot which supports recovery!
Now i will test the 3.8.9 !!!

Its great to have Lte activated. Should we need to flash the kernel again as I am using Yank's
kernel. How about the battery life and the tempreture as well. Rom
downloading....

Just tried geolocalization with Weather apps. It works with GPS.

Whatever the kernel. Choose which you want ! But the rom is based on stock, with stock kernel. The battery life is just better than TouchWiz. The temperature is the same too. Enjoy!
