Not suitable for daily use because it has not been enough tested.

Well done.
Let me know if there is anything missing in OpenFIMG that would make it run better. (Except OpenGL ES 2.0, which I'm aware of, but can do nothing atm.)

Untill CM7 working list is here, system is not usable for daily use. I hope you get it done, I give all the best for this project and thank you for keeping this phone alive with your development..

Great Work..
So you are working on CyanogenMod 10 along side CyanogenMod 7 or it's just for us to taste? Coz I thought you weren't to develop for Galaxy 3 after CyanogenMod 7 Port was Complete!
Well Good Luck..

Thanks marcellusbe for your hard work. I know this is going to be a very good project.
May i ask if you collaborate with hillbeast and moikop to use kernel 3.4.x in this project? Or maybe the kernel is the same as your cm7 port?

Glad to hear from you Marcel ..3 cheers for this , good to see you ... . Hope n wish all Developers Join hands with you in development , @ All ..lets work together toward this project ....make it working for for our very beloved phone SG3

When the phone goes into deep sleep, you can't unlock it anymore, because of a kernel panic.
3g isn't working. WiFi is partly working (it works for marcellusbe, but not for me)

You should ask sebastien. He probably knows a lot more.

Is there any cm10 boot animation to start off

@marcellusbe have you paused cm7 development or you working on it alongside cm10

Oh man and my phone is still lagging at CM9 LOL. I swear you are the best Dev ever in rom porting.

In cm9,the word is too small.
I can't see it clearly.
Can you solve this problem in cm10?

I found this on one of the forums on XDA.. It's unofficial, but pretty neat.. I've resized it for our phone.. Credits to nozerogravity and the original thread can be found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782074).
Copy the zip to /system/media .. Kept getting errors when I tried to make a CWM zip..

Really, with this port, nobody can doubt that you're the best developer for our phone ...
Really a big thank for this!
One last thing, I hope that nobody will rush you into this project, please be patient people ^^
Good luck Marcel', if you need some sort of help, we are here

Donations:
We use marcellusbe's private server to develop and build CM9.
It helps a lot and improve the development speed. But unfortunately, it has a cost.
So, donations are greatly appreciated. We decided to give all donations to marcellusbe as he rents the server.

But there is already a thread named [project] ICS port or something like that and a group of devs are contributing. You should join with them and delete this thread. It saves many different people doing the same thing and the more devs the merrier.

Finally, I can post in dev section ^^
The point of trying to port cm9 is that it's brand new, and way more fun to start from scratch than catching up on a well advanced project.
Besides, developpers are once again free to choose which project to work on, and if people want so much cm7 to be completed, they still can set up a dev environnement, and get to work !

Not all people have such knowledge. Anyway it's their choice. I'm just saying it will probably take already 6 moths to complete this whereas it will only take 2 to 3 moths max finishing cyanogenmod 7 if everyone works together.

Could you please take a look at the gps too it works but partially and takes insanely long to get a fix i think the problem is that it doesn't use the a-gps data from cellphone towers.

Downloads
AndroidFileHost
(If it is empty or if a build is missing, don't complain, it means the rom is still uploading)
Installation
- If coming from stock MM, or if you have ever been on stock MM, jolla recommends to flash back stock LP.
- Clean flash CM12.1 (IMPORTANT)
- Flash SailfishOS zip
- Enjoy !
- ... and hit "thanks" if you like it
"Dual Boot"
(It is Not recommended, but I just want to show something possible)
Before flashing sfos, make a backup (a full one is recommended). Don't wipe your data and flash sfos.
Make a backup of the boot partition of sfos.
Rename that backup to be able to recognize it later.
When you want to switch between sfos and Android, restore the boot partition of the rom you want to boot.
Changelog :
Build 1:
First public release
Alpha 2:
Wifi fixed, added a lot of preinstalled apps
FAQ
If you have error "Could not configure normal mode." in warehouse run in terminal:

Great job mate If you need any help you know where to find me and other people (i mean irc ). Continue your work
Also sfos don't have bootanimation (or i'm wrong?). And for testing gps use test_gps in terminal.
Bluetooth is working? Try sending files xD

The boot animation is strange due to the surfaceflinger hack, I said it is not working to avoid receiving message like "I got cm bootlogo when booting" or anything like that .
GPS I think I removed all packages in order to make the build able to finish it is not gonna work ^^
And I haven't tested sending files over BT.

And yes I applied a lot of fixes from your sources, thank you for sharing them
Alpha 2 released
- fixed Wifi
- added a lot of preinstalled apps (including Warehouse, an app store)
- Reboot sometimes works, but Wifi and BT are broken after reboot

Please don't ask for ETAs
I will fix the other bugs when another dev will join the port.
In other word : never
"Don't expect something good to happen, this way if it happens you can only be happy"
And another important thing : I have a new phone (note 3) so the time spent making roms for Thea will be reduced...
Yes I see.I just love this rom and hope to use it.Thank you for your good job.thank you very much.
Well...
Some good news... And some (less) good news...
...
...
...
On my last (unreleased) build :
- my old Sim card was detected... SMS should be working! ! (calls may not as I removed a package but I will try to fix it)
- Reboot didn't seem to be broken !!
- Bluetooth worked after reboot
But Wi-Fi is broken.
And I will be away from computer 10 days in a few days. If I can fix Wi-Fi before I go I will release a new build, if no you will have to wait.
All thanks go to @Mister_Magister !
(I stole his work and I feel like a thief now )

Whaat? I helped? when? Lol i didn't know that
PS: Try force shutdown (hold power button) and then wifi will work (i have the same error xD)
Also moving port to cm-12.1 was pretty easy Most of sources are form cm11 just kernel and device sources

Well you have uploaded your sources! That's one of the best help you can provide!
Force shutdown doesn't seem to work... And wlan-module-load failed when it started.
Anyway I'll see tomorrow it is late now.

[KERNEL] [MTD] [TW/CM9/CM11] [DEV] Watson Kernel (MTD support on Gingerbread!)

Hello guys,
This is a project I was working on for a kernel for our SGY.
I made it with a few things in mind:
>Improve it's performance
>Be universally compatible (after I nearly given up on trying to get a snappier CM11 and after the need for a snappier SGY, I decided to go back to GB. However, BML is terrible, and it is annoying to come back to. I decided to build a MTD kernel for Gingerbread then, and it works!)
>Experiment and upgrade as much as I can (thanks @robcore!!!!)
But since I lost my device, I cannot continue developing it. I am then releasing the source code (sorry, no flashable stuff, I deleted it long ago ) for any of you to continue(?) my work if your heart so desires.
If I ever get myself another SGY (or another BCM21553 device), I will gladly continue development (and support whoever does it too), but before I lose all my data and the kernel code alongside it, I am making it available.
This kernel features:
-OC up to 1040MHz (It's questionable even today if the bcm21553 OCs really work, but I tried hacking a way that works very similarly to MarocOS's one, maybe even better. Be warned though, the source around it is messy)
-GPU hacks for performance (Again, even I don't know if they do work, probably the values are just there to be seen, I'm not sure. I do know though that increasing the CPU speed will much likely increase the speed of V3D too)
-DVFS disabled (I found out DVFS is mostly the culpirit in the "832MHz crisis" where the kernel would forcefully scale itself to 832MHz, so I eliminated any reference to it in kernel code. Apparently DVFS on the processor is only available under the bcm21553 governor, but it is present on the other drivers as well. The idea for disabling DVFS came from my friend @robcore)
-A few additional governors and a buggy interactive governor (which is the default xd)
-MTD support for Gingerbread (Thanks Samsung Epic 4G! Although it only works on TouchWiz (I tried it with SL v2 and v2.1 and it works, but under NougatME(CM7) I got no success and loads of segfaults), it works ALMOST perfectly. See bugs for details )
-Some scraped source code from Samsung's FSR I found on the internet (barely compilable, though)
Bugs:
>Gingerbread version:
-IMEI won't appear in the Status screen, I also faced problems with non-working radio for calls. Data works just fine, but calling and receiving calls is unavailable. I believe it is EFS-related. My suggestion is backing up the EFS partition's file structure, then converting it to MTD, then restoring the backup.
-TWRP will crash and panic when exiting, a workaround is force rebooting
>ICS version:
-TWRP will crash and panic when exiting (I believe fixing it here will fix the bug above too)
>KitKat version:
-Flashing images fail randomly, you may also be unable to reboot normally if you do so. I tried addressing this but I couldn't get anywhere.
DOWNLOAD THE SOURCE: Here!
Thanks to:
@robcore - his development on the Snapdragon S4 breathes life on my dev soul!
@zman0900 - I saw his thread on an MTD TW kernel for the Samsung Epic 4G, which led me to believe MTD on GB is possible.
nice kernel
It sound nice. I'm a newbie developer, I'm building a kernel to fix audio bug on cm9, hope it work. And thank you for the source

Have you gathered enough info on it? I would like to fix it too, but I couldn't get any info on whether if the audio bug is a kernel-side issue or an OS -side issue.
Best of luck for you

I don't sure so I decided to build a kernel from your source and another cm9 version from Mohamad.Afaneh's source and I'll merge the audio on both of them for the best think to fix the bug.Thank you .

To make it, you have to sync the cm9 source code then add the files from his github to your localmanifest. This thing is not in anyway related to that except the MTD. This one is a kernel-compile only source
Oh man, i give up. I can't build a kernel from source, but i can modify a kernel.
Can someone give me the zimage for ics Please....
