Wow, I thought it was just me. I bought a Transformer yesterday and immediately updated it to 3.2. Calendar doesn't work for me either but I didn't use it before updating so I didn't think it had anything to do with 3.2. Anyone know of a fix for this?
I have TF101G Honeycomb 3.2 (8.6.6.9) and no probls with calendar app, while I have problem with the app gallery (.nomedia bug) and the Asus weather widget
Found the solution and it worked for me. Delete the local cached data for the calendar and let t resync with Google's servers.
that worked like a charm thanks

Anyone tried these? very honeycomb look about them

i use them, they're quite nice.
i use the calendar month view, and the twitter feed stack. they're very smooth
Wizz just recently got an update to allow for more customization. I think the developer will continue updates to make this a very nice app. I use the Facebook and calendar widgets.
It is exactly the same app as Colorize Widget for android 2.x.x
Settings, etc is the same, even when I logged in on Twitter it said colorize widget.
Looks like someone just copied that program and made it work for HC...?

So they can make you pay 2 times for the pro version
Does anyone have trouble getting the Facebook or Twitter widgets to update?
I have them both set to update every five minutes. But, even with the launcher screen set to the page on which I have those two widgets, they only update when I force them to manually. Is there some uber-secret setting I've missed?
wow, every 5 min? doesnt that kill your battery?

I suppose it might if they actually updated.
You mean it actually installs for you. I have tried to install this widget set for months and it always says failed to install five minutes later. I am running stock 3.2 now but tried on 3.1 since the middle of june to install it nearly every day. Emailed the dev but never got a response. I assumed it didn't work on the tf until I found this thread.
I did have a workaround. I sideloaded the colorize widget apk after downloading it on my phone and it worked as long as i wasn't using the stock launcher. Until the update to 3.2 I was using adw ex launcher but the update changed the centering of my circle launcher widgits and as you can no longer access the settings for adw ex in 3.2 for now I went back to the stock launcher.
How did you get Wizz to install. Did you have to sideload the apk? If so do you know where to find it? Colorize Widgits don't work in stock honeycomb launcher. All the other launchers I have tried don't have a way to remove the dock. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
I installed it then reboot. It's working as it should. I like it.

I didn't have to do anything special -- just downloaded Wizz from the market and installed. I'm still on 3.1 (Prime 1.6) -- any chance the 3.2 update broke it?

Mine still works on 3.2
Market install on Prime 1.7beta
Just installed on 3.2, it works fine.
It always fails to install. Are you rooted and/or not stock? Mine is completely stock.

Yeah, mine aren't updating either. In fact the calendar widget isn't updating either. If it's the 14th it still hasn't rolled over from the 13th. I mean I have the settings set to update once every 3 hours. I even have to manually update twice to get the gReader to update.
I love this app but man, it needs to update.
EDIT: Hrm, I don't know what I did but it's updating now.

Try manual install with this version.
Wizz only require honeycomb and stock launcher
I like the android pro widgets myself.

I'm running SKY-ICS 4.2F6-2.3 (7/24) (UCLF6 Base) AT&T OFFICIAL ICS..Project Margarine
I just updated to 2.3. It was working great. I was looking around for my calendar, and after I noticed I didn't have one, I decided to add the widget to a new home screen.
The second I did it, my sgs2 said "Unfortunately, TouchWiz home has stopped." All I can click is OK, and it says the same thing, over and over, even after a reboot.
Any ideas how to get rid of the calendar from clockwork, or does anybody else have another solution.
I can't do anything from within the phone itself. It constantly locks up.
Thank you.
Try dropping a new launchers apk into /system. You will have to push it with adb. Then when you boot select the launcher you just pushed.
When it comes up under application management find the s3 tw launcher and clear it's cache and data. Then it'll work once again without the constant force close.
I actually lucked out when this happened to me because I had a shortcut on my main screen for tibu and got into it before the loop fcs.
Good luck, let me know how it goes.
~PsyCl0ne
Edit: actually was just going to say if you have the flash able zips on your computer open them up in 7zip and see if you can find the s3 launcher, just extract it and push that over adb.

The stock calendar widget is somewhat problematic. Try acalendar from the play store. Works great on ICS (I'm on the same rom as you) and has a more useful widget imho.

This was my most used app. With the quick launch widget configured you could map any app to any search+key combination. Wicked for productivity.
Unfortunately I had to completely wipe the tablet after the upgrade to JB and now after reinstalling everything I find this out. Anyone have tips/tricks? I haven't rooted yet but this would cause me to if someone can confirm it working on a custom rom.
Thanks.

I also use Anycut alot and had this same issue when i updated to JB. To solve this, use Anycut from the WIDGETS not the app drawer and you're good to go :victory:
Kinda Off-Topic:
How did you set up AnyCut to launch apps by pressing search+key? I dont see how you got that working
Edit:
Create shortcut to Settings->Quick Launch
QuickShortcutMaker
I don't know what youre shortcut needs are but I started using QuickShortcutMaker and it works on jellybean. I also had the Any Cut problem with jellybean. here is the link:

Hey everyone,
Sorry if this was before, I searched but couldn't find a similar problem. This started to happen after I uninstalled a music player app.
This "music player"-like shadow on the screen is annoying as hell. I can press the "Pause" button, but that's all. Everytime I lock the phone and wait a minute or two this appear. I wanted to install the app again, but I can't remember which one it was.
Is there any way to remove this..."thing"?
Thanks in advance.
What version are you running?
If it is 4.2 or above is it a widget?
Maybe go to Settings > Apps and look for the app that you uninstalled to make sure it is gone.
Im not really sure otherwise. Could possibly go to Play Store > My Apps and look for downloaded apps to reinstall and uninstall.

Found it, thank you! I searched widgets that looked like that "shadow" of mine and it was the 8tracks app I installed. As soon as I stopped it, the problem went away.
Thank you once again,
Cheers!
No problem, let me know if I can help with anything else
Hi all,
I have had my Nexus 5 phone for a few weeks now and I love it.
Before that I owned a Galaxy S2, running on CM10.2 with Dorimanx Kernel with Nova Launcher.
I really love the N5, it really is a beast and answers most of my expectations.
However, I have recently been confronted to a problem : my homescreen widgets are not syncing/updating anymore...
Not much of them though :
- Beautiful Weather 4 x 2
- Stock Agenda 2 x 3 redimensioned at 4 x 3
- Today 4 x 2 redimensioned at 4 x 3
Before that I also tried on my N5 : Dashclock + Widget Locker and some extensions for Whatsapp, Google Music, Hangouts, Gmail, etc...
Lockscreen widgets worked fine and were correctly synced and updated.
I have noticed that my homescreen widgets are only updated once : when I set them up or when I turn on my device. After a few seconds they stop updating. Even the update button in some widgets does not work.
This is really annoying as I really like my N5 and this is really bothering me.
I have searched through all the web and through the forum and I have not found anything useful. I have tried uninstalling all these apps and reinstall them. I have tried installing them one at a time and it does not work.
I have seen your N5 homescreens in the forum and it makes me jealous as they are really looking good and rely on synced widgets.
Has anyone got a clue ?
Thank you all very much.
Marc
Hi all,
Just a quick update : I have installed Nova Launcher 2.3 Beta and all my widgets seem to be working fine in Nova Environment. Well synced and updated.
Has anyone kept the default Nexus 5 launcher (Google Experience) and observed the widgets are not syncing ?
I have tried to reset the Launcher by going into the app details and stopping the app and resetting the cache and data. It still does not work.
The weird thing is that I seem to be the only one experiencing this issue as I really have not found the problem stated elsewhere. Or maybe for other devices and particular widgets but I have tried all the solutions and none worked.
Are you running Google Experience on your N5 and are you having these issues ?
I do like Google Experience feel and is there another way to reset it ?
Do you have any clues on how to debug this ?
Otherwise, do you know where I can post this problem and find help ? Is there any Google support for this Launcher ?
Thank you all so much for your help !!

Same issue here...
EDIT
After fighting that problem for 2 days without any luck (tried restarts, reinstalled beautiful widgts, widgetoid etc.) the problem is gone now after posting yesterday into this thread.
Nice.
The only thing that changed since then is that i deinstalled tapatalk - but I can hardly reproduce the problem or solution...
Really a small chance but maybe the OP has tapatalk installed too?
Hi licht,
Thanks for your feedback though you are right, I don't know how I can reproduce your solution.
And by the way, after a successful day on Nova the problem has appeared on Nova now !!
So I guess this isn't launcher related...
There is a pb with Kit Kat somewhere...
How could I debug this ? What is the process responsible for updating home screen widgets ?
Thanks to the community !
OK I've had this problem too.. Very occasionally.. But it's happened in holo launcher..
A restart fixes it..
And I do have tapatalk installed too though am not sure it's related

Hi letmedanz,
Thanks for sharing.
I have done the restart, of the widgets, of the launcher and of the phone...
I just don't get why it works and then just stops working...
I wish I could find the process responsible for the update and my monitor it.
Thanks anyway.
Having the same issue, i guess it's only a few of us. Have you tried reflashing stock img? i might give that a go.
Actually, on Nova it runs just fine. I think I'll just keep Nova. I'm too lazy to reflash...

Hmmmm don't care for nova, unnecessary memory usage. I thought you said earlier it wasn't a launcher issue?
Will try to solve it tomorrow, perhaps it is as simple as wiping cache? Will keep you guys' updated.
You are right to point that out because I thought it was also not t refreshing on Nova. But it actually did, and for some time now it runs fine.
Thanks for trying it. I'll be checking your results in here.
The only modification i have done is installed AdAway other than that i am stock. Oh i also have gravity screen off installed.
I found out I had this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=spinninghead.talkingstopwatchlite running in the background still doing a timer, so many hours! =]
Exited it and now my widgets refresh. Can anyone explain how this app would get in the way of the widgets updating?? =\
problem solved
My nexus 5 block sync all widgets:
The solution is, deinstall phone weaver!
Sören
What is Phone Weaver ? Is it a specific program ? Because I don't have it.
I thought it was the stopwatch app i had running causing widget freezes, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Widgets are still refusing to refresh. Will flash 4.4.2 (clean install) hopefully that helps.
Issue is well documented here http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=28216
See if this works for you guys https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/nexus/uu27aDrcwFs/9L9JRo6kXqkJ
Vladimir Vakhromeev
I've found solution which works for me. I hope it could help others as well.
all that I did is ran in CMD:
adb shell am start -n com.google.android.setupwizard/.SetupWizardTestActivity
after this nexus asked for locale and name again. Then I've put back my widgets.
I had no problems about a week.
Please, notice that it could be done at your own risk!
I tried the above and it seems to be working so far. Post your results =]
So i have found a temporary fix without needing to reboot.
I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.systempanel.r1 to kill all processes and tasks, the widgets start to work! The bug will occur again most likely.
Now when the bug does occur again i just have to go kill the process/task 1 by 1 to figure out which one resets the widgets, probably google search (launcher)
This must confirm there is conflict with ram! any insight?!
Anyone figured out a solution that does not involve booting, restarting the phone or manually running an app? that is no permanent fix. and this is extremely disappointing.
