[DEV] Kernel Source Request - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

Does anyone know where I can get hold of the 2.6.35.7 kernel source for the T959V?
I have looked on the Samsung OpenSource site, and it appears they only have the Froyo kernel source listed. I have also contacted Samsung two weeks ago, then again on Monday, and have not yet received a response.
If anyone has it, or knows how I can get it, please let me know; in case I'm missing something.
Thanks in advance!

source won't be released until we have an official gingerbread rom. Also Samsung has 60 days after official gingerbread releases to post the source code.

Quick question about Froyo build UCJI6

Hi there, I just got my new Captivate and I installed the Froyo 2.2 and I would like to know if the UCJI6 is the latest one. If is not, could someone give me the link for the latest froyo with odin???
Has someone any idea when they will release the official version???
Thanks guys!!!
jj4 is latest leaked build but I don't think it has been packaged for Odin....as for the real deal....you got a Ouija board? I will not even bother using it so i don't worry about it.

But the carriers are the ones who will determine when it is made available....not that we care about that really...just want samsung to release the source for the captivate
Sent telepathically using vulcan mind meld app.
It's all smoke and mirrors...They ( AT&T as well as Samsung) has told so many different versions of "when" that they don't even know when. They both are so arrogant that they think it doesn't really matter...that they can just release a new tablet and all is well...

Well then this is it. Even if Samsung doesn't release it on the 21st, we'll still have a flashable version very soon.
We will have something to flash tonight, almost guaranteed... Tomorrow night at the latest.

LOL.
It's interesting to see that samsung is putting the source out before they release the firmware. Usually with these companies its the other way around.
That's why I had to ask I didn't think the source would be up already. Sj musta did some magic Thank you finally.......

[Petition] LG to release V21E kernel source

Greetings all,
I'm just a noob that wants LG to release the kernel source for the latest OTA so the community devs can play with it. I would love to play with it myself but I haven't even finished my math prerequisites to begin my computer science degree. Until then and I learn something about coding, all I can do is this.
I've provided a link here to the LG open source site. Search for the proper device, then there will be a button on this page that allows you to contact LG. I propose that we all SPAM their inbox with requests for them to release the V21e kernel source.
Thanks

I had considered posting this in General but to me the subject of "kernel source code" is much more development related than for instance, "how well do you like your phone?"
I would expect those who frequent the dev. threads to be much more interested in this than those who browse the general. Just one man's POV. I made a decision and I'll live with it's consequences.
Done ...
Most recent response is below:
Dear [My Name],
We are so sorry for keep you waiting for a month.
Our development team is planning to release the source code until 8/26 because of summer vacation.
Please wait for more days.
Best regards.
Thank you.

We have an Atheros 6xxx, don't we? From what I understand, the Atheros 6000 code never made it to the upstream Linux kernel[1], but various vendors have released code for it.
See psyke83's github here, for example. This code is from a Sony source drop.
https://github.com/psyke83/AR6kSDK.3.1

good to know thanks.
Ok, what i'm interested in is if they have updated it so that it'll work on the latest p6210 ULA3 firmware. I have sent them an inquiry to see if its for ULA3.
Hmmm, interesting. Wonder if Gary's had time to look at this lately.

JellyBean kernels in development for NS?

I'm fairly new to XDA, so I don't mean to tread on anyone's toes by asking.
Anyone currently developing a JellyBean kernel for Nexus S (or 4G)?

Of course there is. Every Dev who has created a ICS will make a JB. Not sure this is worthy of a thread start. Next week things will start rolling in Kernels and Rom's. Just enjoy JB.
Nothing is coming until we have source. This thread only asks a question that even a little bit of logic would make unnecessary. I don't get why anyone would feel the need to ask it, I mean what's their reasoning? Is every kernel dev is sitting on their hands until someone asks if anyone's working on something?

So, I tried to build a JB kernel, but it won't boot. It appears that Google have not pushed the correct kernel source for the JB OTA...
The PVR userspace libs and kernel driver is mismatched.
So, I've requested the correct source on the Android Building groups, and will release a test version whenever they decide to push that...
