You should come over into our device forums for more help. You have to install a custom recovery before going into recovery mode. Install ROM Manager from the market then in the app select the flash recovery image option.

Well follow these steps I'm about to give you. (I'm assuming you already have root privileges.) 1) Download ROM Manager. 2) Open ROM Manager and select the "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" button. 3) Select the model "HTC Hero (CDMA)" 4) Once the recovery is flashed push the "Ok" button 5) Select the "Reboot into Recovery" option 6) Give Superuser permissions if asked 7) Select your ROM and flash it 8) Select your GApps and flash it 8) Reboot.

i click reboot into recovery also and it gets stuck in htc screen i cant access the recovery from the hboot screen also

That means you don't have a custom recovery installed. Follow my instructions and flash the recovery image.

i click flash clockworkmod recovery and then it says successfully flashed clockworkmod recovery ! then it says : current recovery: clockworkmod 2.5.0.7 then i click reboot to recovery then ok then it boots and then it gets stuck at the white htc screen

When you say "Go to CWM" how do I do that exactly? Same with clearing the data/cache/dalvik?
Open up rom manager and select second option reboot into recovery. and there will be options in cwm about clearing data/cache and under advance you can clear dalvik.

format all partitons except sdcard from recovery
then flash the rom
if that failed too then flash the boot.img of the rom manually
Try hard boot to recovery
I 'm not sure if your able to get to recovery? Try taking battery out and doing the usual volume down button and the on button together to boot to recovery. Have you tried one of the all in one tool kits which can normally save you in these situations. Remember even when you think you have bricked your phone you probable haven't, just relax and try something else.
Best solution is to manually flash the boot.img of your current rom thats it.

Take the battery out. Then hold the power button and volume down buttons until the bootloader shows up.
Use the volume buttons to scroll down to RECOVERY and hit POWER again to select.
That should get you into your recovery module.
Pulling the battery is the critical step here. That lets you bypass any fastboot settings that skip the bootloader check on power on.

Stuck booting into recovery

Hey guys,
I've recently tried installing the new JellyBam ROM. The 'install zip from sdcard' function works just fine.. I get a 'install ... complete' message from doing that. When I restart the phone simply restarts back INTO CWM Recovery and I cannot do anything with my phone.
I'm guessing I have to fastboot push the boot.img file, right? I realized I forgot to do that until now.. The problem is, I can't get to the bootloader screen.
If I do "adb reboot bootloader" the device will still restart into CWM and so I'm left dumbfounded. What steps do you guys recommend I take?

Using All-In-One Toolkit and it has the recovery so no need to look for that and just be in fastboot mode first.

But there is one weird thing in bootloader. When I boot to bootloader it shows: SD Checking...No image! (and some letters .img). This shows about 7 times and then it shows selection screen (fastboot/recovery/factory reset/simlock)
Second weird thing is that I have radio 1.10.80.14M3 (I'm from WestEurope), but in RUU isn't the same radio :/
(These things were there before I installed new recovery/stock ROM)
Now, I tried to install the stock rom by immortal yash and it works! So thank you for wasting a time with me
