I started experiencing some really weird issues on my G2x..
1. I can't make any calls while on 3G (haven't tried data so could be the same 3G data issue??), I tested this by trying to call my other handset, it received a really short ring and then nothing... the G2x itself didn't show any thing until the call timed out...
2. I switched the phone manually to use GSM only, the good part is that i can now make calls however i don't receive any ringback while waiting for the other party to answer....
3. I'm also having the DNS problem .... hmmmmphhh .... but that can be worked around by using any dns setting software.... you only need to be rooted...
so is there any body having any of the 1 & 2 problems??
any ideas ... i loved the phone but now .... i'm thinking about not to love it anymore ... lol

my phone is rooted and has CWM 4 and running the stock 2.2 android.

I bought an AT&T i987 locked to be used on rogers network. Rooted the photo and installed the app sgs unlock ran perfect.
Now, here's the problem I'm having after 1 month of use:
MMS: I can send SMS but I can't send nor receive MMS, I found a thread saying to play with the proxy setting rogers.mms.com wthv. It didn't work.
SMS: The hours written on my sent message is fine but every sms I receive are 5 hours sooner ( let say it's 15h30, It will show 8h30) Still annoying.
GPS: Some people says it's slow, but mine simply won't lock even after 5 minutes LOL. Do you need absolutly a data plan to make it work? I thought it was working like any garmin GPS out there. connecting to a satellite not the internet.
AT&T apps block ?? It won't let me download any apps out of the android market. is there a way to delete that stupid option?
And this is not related to my ATT phone but DAMN the call volume is very WEAK. I barely heard people's voice but they do heard me fine. It's like the speaker is simply too weak or there's a tweak for this?

To fix the mms issue do a search for the rogers message center phone number on google and input it in the stock messaging app.
As for the time issue its actually a rogers issue, either use a messaging app(handcent) that can offset the time or get sms time fix from the market.
Plenty of gps info around the forum, keep looking.
Have you tried flashing a rogers ROM to see if that fixes it?

Since getting my Inspire 4g I've had a problem calling people. (before and after root). When I settle on a contact and hit call, I get a beep and get disconnected before any ringtone happens. I have to do this about five or six times until I can actually connect with who I have to call.
This happens when I have full service.

If it happened before you rooted I'd take it back for a new device.
If you've already rooted, here are a few things I had to do when I was having this problem:
1. Turn off mobile data. This seemed to restore voice 100%
2. Switch to GSM Only, rather than GSM/WCDMA auto. If this works the way it's supposed to, you should only get EDGE data, but voice will be 100%
3. Change your ro.ril.hsxpa value in build.prop to =1. This will disable HSUPA, but you'll still have HSDPA.
I used to have this problem ALLLLLLLL the time on multiple ROMs, multiple Radios. For the last week and a half or so I was running android revolution 4g 3.2, with ro.ril.hsxpa=1, and did not have the problem once. Yesterday I flashed to revolution HD 4.0 b4, along with the recommended radio, and have not had any issues dialing or receiving calls (although 1 call did drop, but I blame that on my mom having no idea how to use a cell phone). The ro.ril.hsxpa is currently set to 2.
At first it appeared to be an issue that was occurring after HSUPA was utilized, but if it was happening to you on stock, that can't be the case because ATT hasn't turned on HSUPA in the stock ROM yet.
I have had this problem for quite some time now and I am at my wits end. I have a Galaxy S5830 which was working fine until end of last December when I decided to change networks Which meant unlocking my beloved Network 3 ACE all went well THEN I decided to flash a rom or 2 seeing as it was also so simple. Perfect . But the problems started when I tried to make a phone call, the call is canceled (CALL ENDED) immediately (EVEN EMERGENCY CALLS ). The phone is not Blocked or any silliness like that, weird thing is.. I can Go online on the phone EVEN Tether to my laptop (iv had friends tethering to it while I'M on it as-well) also SMS works! I have done searches up and down, even Google started asking me to give it up. But i'm determined I just figured I needed some Help from those who know how. (side note: I thought it was the modem since i flashed it to the Indian DDKQ6 changed it to XWKP7 base-band n still no difference) I'm pretty sure its the Dailer that's cooked some how.. also: Status of phone is normal connected to network 02, in-service etc.

Got the exakt same problem:
"Call ended" immediately after pushing call button. 3G, WiFi, SMS, everything works fine but calls.
IMEI is still visible
I tried following without success:
- SIM works on other phone.
- turned 3G and 2G on/off before call
- turned on/off call forwarding and call rejection
- hide/show caller ID
- factory reset
- different ROMS with different basebands (several stock ROMs; doesn't work neither)
- format data/system/cache
I'm running out of options..I'd be glad for any suggestions.

Hey guys, m having problem with my nexus 5 when m on phone calls my phone's network drops and call goes blank i mean there is no audio and it keeps on going this until i disconnect. And also happens again so what do u think might be the issue ?

do you have sprint? is this with all calls or just when you are trying to place a call? are you on 4.4.4?
M on Vodafone(India) and yes it happens with all calls whether m calling or receiving call , and i hv 4.4.4 stock
hmm thats odd. i just had an issue that wouldnt allow me o place calls. i had to fastboot flash down to 4.4.2 and take ota upgrades to fix my problems. try updating your prl and profile and wiping dalvik and cache just to be sure

I too have it but not exactly. After i disconnect call, then only network drops and connects immediately, so didn't have any call drops. Are you on latest version 4.4.4r2? I use vodafone india.
Ummm , sometimes during call first audio goes blank then it connects to someone's call , i can hear others voice

Also i rooted and installed parandroid but issue still persists
When i installed paraandroid everything was fine first but after few days issue came back
Hey guys i have issue i cant get incoming calls but outgoing call is ok friends can't call me, i disabled divert and contacted my carrier they said sim have no problem but the issue is with your phone. I formatted it two times still no luck

Are you running CyanogenMod 13 or any other ROM with LTE enabled? That might be the problem custom ROMs have trouble sometimes with VOLTE, try setting it to 3G and test it out
This thing really helped me . Go to setting , press network and there you will see Volt HD calls just simply uncheck this one and now you will receive calls . ENJOY
