yeah I got this as well when I tried it the other week, the way to get round it is copy and paste the beta key into the programme,it worked striaght away then for me.
This is frigging sweet. I flashed the HTC Gingerbread build and lost root, stupidly. Biggest mistake. Just used this and now I've got S-Off. Thanks!

Sorry,my bad,but maybe you should be more explicit in your topic title...
you should make this more obvious that its for 1.0.2 hboots that are for the new stock gingerbread builds
this doesnt affect most people that are in this dev forum as we rooted ages ago
stupidily flashed the Gibgerbread RUU, but now running InsertCoin 1.1.1 again and couldn't be happier. Revolutionary works like a charm!
good title change

There is only one zip for ALL supported phones and hboot versions! I posted the direct link above since you seem to be just a little confused. Here it is again:
http://revolutionary.io/revolutionary-0.4pre3.zip
Yes I understand but I look for someone who has installed the latest update from HTC and then used Revolutionary, so he can make a copy of HBoot 1.18.0000
Here
Download also contains radio and other firmware updates, just extract the hboot and do with it what you will. BTW once you run revolutionary that hboot gets replaced by the hacked revolutionary hboot so getting it from a device that ran revo is pointless!
Thanks but i search the hacked revolutionary hboot not official.
Just run revolutionary then, cause you aren't making sense to me. It seems like you are making this too complicated. I guess I can't help you.

He wants someone who ran the revolutionary exploit on the latest hboot to make a copy for him to flash.
But iirc, the latest revolutionary downgrades you back to 1.17 so trying to get a 1.18 is futile.

whats difference between 1.17 and 1.18?
Actually I've got S-Off and Hboot 1.18 and if someone tells me how to extract it I would do it but I don't know how to do
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA Premium App
You must have flashed the update after you got s-off which is fine but then you'll be missing out because fastboot cmds are not enabled in the stock hboot.
So there's no option to have hacked HBOOT 1.18.0000/1.18.1111 with revoultionary? Only option is downgrade to 1.17.1111?
You can S-Off it on 2.3.3 and update it OTA. I think it's the only way right now

Is this safe? Any info about differences in 1.18 / 1.17?
Btw my phone is sent to HTC because I did some mistake and bricked it.
When it will be back with OTA 2.3.4 then downgrade to 2.3.3 -> S-OFF -> upgrade 2.3.4? It will be safe?
I've been reading every thread about it out there but I simply can't get a straight answer out of anyone. I'm S-On currently and have already installed the update. Some people have said that it has worked from them yet others have said that it patches fr3vo which Revolutionary needs to work. So which is it? And if I can't do S-Off, is there a way to get my Sensation back to 2.3.3 to use revolutionary?

If your hboot version supports it, then I say go for it.
Make sure you're S-OFF but have stock recovery before you update and you can run Revolutionary again.

Flashing RUU would get you back, as I've seen boot images in the rom.zip of the RUU.
I dunno though if the RUU checks for higher versions or not..
I believe that you can s-off if the HBOOT you have is supported by revolutionary. Give it a try you're not losing anything.
i was 2.3.3 then updated to 2.3.4 ota. read around that u couldnt get s-off if u were s-on and got 2.3.4 update because of hboot.. i did it anyways no problems everything worked fine

Here new Froyo RUU for Desire
http://www.filefactory.com/file/c04...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_224699_signed.exe
Enjoy!
is there any change-log about this??..or only a new radio??
Is it true? and any change log?
Or just the radio upgrade?
could someone upload a rooted version pls?
Wouldn't this be part of HTC removing the patents they lost against apple? HTC are ment to be releasing new updates for all phones.
And then again.. Why would they release a new update of froyo when Gingerbread was released?
This makes no sense?

in fact it makes sense kinda cos they never did release ota ginger. the last official for the desire its still the froyo and the ginger ruu was only for developers and not officialy supported.

Bravo Oxygen r2.
Website has two confusing explanation:
1. "Downgrade protection, these HBOOTs cannot be overwritten by an OTA or RUU, unless you flash a downgrader HBOOT first."
2. "Will my phone stay S-OFF forever?
Yes and no. As soon as you decide to flash a stock RUU that has a HBOOT update in it, this hacked HBOOT will be overwritten."

Ok thanks. When I flashed HBOOT, there was no downgrader on website. Maybe I don't need downgrade. But I will do anyway as you suggested.

Hello everyone! I just got my HTC Sensation 4G, and I really want to root it. The problem is, this phone is so much more complex than my Optimus V and there are many different methods to rooting this phone. So if anyone has the time, can you give me a quick run down on how to flash a ROM and which way is the easiest way to root? To me it seems like the Super Utility is the easiest, but VipeR's method is more in depth.
PS: I am currently on Sense 3.0 with Android 2.3.4, the kernal version is 2.6.35.13. I want to flash Bruce's CM10 or possibly the latest MIUI JB. TWRP 2.3 seems like a good recovery, but I see a lot of people using 4EXT, so which would work better?
Thanks in advance!
You should check the stickies in the dev section. It will be the third post from the top. That will be a good start for you
ViperS 1.3.5 With True S off

All right guys, I'll make sure to read those guides and not use the HTC Dev method. I saw on some topics like Bruce's CM10 that I need the ICS firmware. This is achieved by downloading the ICS/Sense 3.6 update correct? And if it is, just grab it from under settings and go from there? Sorry for being such a noob at this!
As you are still on Gingerbread, I would suggest to S-OFF your device first as it is quite easy to do so. Later, on ICS and 1.27 HBOOT it will be more difficult. If you S-OFF your device now, you can update your phone thereafter to ICS. I think these would be the correct moves, I hope someone will confirm this! Have a good day!
Yeh if your still on gingerbread soff now instead of with ICS. Then you can update to ICS/JB by flashing 3.32/3.33 firmware once your soff.

So S-Off with Revolutionary then do the OTA update or use Kohr-Ah's 3.33 update? God I hate having to ask so many questions, but I just want to make sure I get through this all cleanly. No need for Super CID or perm root until I get updated to 3.33 correct?
Someone more clever should confirm this to you but I think if you s-off, then install ICS you can still update your firmware. That's the point of S-OFF-ing your device. You can do whatever you want with it. But wait until someone confirm this to you or it might be written somewhere.
Seems like doing the ICS update then using the Super Utility is the simplest way, with the wire trick being the hardest part. Can anyone confirm please?
S-OFF before you update to ICS! After S-OFF you can still install ICS on your device. It is much easier to S-OFF on Gingerbread. No wire trick etc... just simple instructions you need to follow!
No you want to soff first in gingerbread ad above posters suggested it will be best in the long run and a whole lot easier for you!once you update it will be more difficult to soff. Hope this helps so do the soff in gingerbread first.
sent from HTC sensation, soff, 3.33 firmware, viper Rom, sense 4.1, kernel version PYD-X stable 3.1, mugen battery 3800mah. Please press thanks if I helped in anyway.
Ok, so S-Off well in GB. Do I use Super Utility or VipeR's Guide?
But can someone tell me the correct way to get the 3.32/3.33 firmware after that? I am assuming I should follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1472298
And that I should use the 3.32 TMOUS firmware from here, as I am on T-Mobile US:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21711154#post21711154
Alright, so I did all the reading up I could, and I think I got this down. Im going to use VipeR's guide to S-Off, root, and SuperCID, then I'm going to usejoaquinf's guide to flash Kohr-Ah's 3.33 Universal firmware update. After that going to put on Bruce's CM10 and away I'll go.
PS: Anyone here use the latest TWRP Recovery on this phone? It seems the focus is one 4EXT.
Use 4ext! It will make your life easier later... good luck and report back how you got on!
