OTA 2.3.4 users! (changes) - HTC Sensation

To the European sensation owners who updated their sensation's firmware to stock 2.3.4, have you noticed any special improvements?
Any info on the following issues would be appreciated.
1) Does your touchscreen respond better to fast swipes?
2) Did it resolve your deathgrip issue (if you had it)
3) does sense feel faster?
4) Any improvements in the browser?
5) Any other bug you may have come across, is it resolved?
Other than that please post any noticeable changes you may have observed.

2) I have no deathgrip issue in the prev. version
3) Little more faster, but if you use live wallpaper the change is not worth mentioning
4) The browser is still good enough, no change
5) Yeah, i have a little bug in keyboard, sometime unusable, not respond, many errors when hit the button
It was not enough time to test, but keep trying

1. Yes, Sense seems much more responsive. Swipes seem faster, and certainly when swiping through the home screens or through the application lists.
2. I did not have the deathgrip issue. That is to say, I never hold the phone with my palm covering the whole end of the phone.
3. See 1.
4. Not noticed specific improvements in the browser so far.
5. I haven't had the reboot when using the camera with geo-tagging yet. Hopefully that's fixed but I won't know until I've used it for a few weeks. The gain of the stereo-audio is still set too high, causing clipping when doing video recordings... hopefully they'll fix this soon :-(
6. In The Netherlands, the Watch application now has the ability to purchase videos.

I had the deathgrip issue before. I don't normally hold it in that position, but if I did, I'd loose all my WiFi signal. It still happens on 2.3.4, but not nearly as much.
Sense feels faster and I don't get the touchscreen not being responsive anymore.

They still apparently need to fix the stupid speakerphone issue. I mean hell my phone is reasonable volume when it rings or plays media via the external speaker. but when you get a call and hit speaker or while your on hold with someone and turn on speakerphone, its pointless

1) Haven't had any issues, but feels somewhat snappier now.
2) Only had moderate signal drop with " death grip" before ota, and it seems about the same now.
3) Sense definately runs smoother now, the "carousel" didn't look smooth before, it does now. olling also much smoother.
4) Haven't noticed any improvements.
5) Not sure if this qualifies as a bug, but screen capture with power + home now works! Never worked for me before the ota.

Everything is more responsive. For everybody that ditched the sensation you should have had more patience.
Can't wait for 2.3.5

More responsive and better battery life
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA Premium App

Waaay more responsive. No lag now.
I see no difference in wifi signal.
Not sure about the touch screen issues yet. Will have to test that...

Agreed with everyone, smooth like butter. I would also like to add that battery life is improved. WiFi calling for Tmous is not hogging battery anymore. Standby battery usage is way better. I am using stock Tmous radio.

Do I have to flash the new radio to use 2.3.4?

No you don't need to flash new radio. In fact I tried the new radio for a little on my tmous sensation then reverted back to stock radio.

The speaker quality during playback (e.g. of Watch trailers) is fine, the stereo-audio recording during videos is still clipped. As far as I can tell, the gain is set too high on the mics, and this has not been corrected in 2.3.4, nor is there a way to manually set the gain lower. In other words: still waiting

1. Cant tell, it has always been good to me.
2. Didnt have it before
3. Yes, alot, its really snappy now. No lags what so ever.
4. Havent noticed any.
5. Have a screen related issue, came after I got 2.3.4. Se my thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16634483#post16634483

1. Didn't notice any issues before.
2. Didn't notice any issues before.
3. Sense is now much much smoother!
4. Browser does feel a bit snappier to me.
5. No issues as such, but it seems that the 'get more space' option does not work any more. When I select it from the storage settings menu I just get a little dialogue box saying there is no application available to handle it.
Maybe 2.3.4 has a different way of handling cache so the function has been disabled? Please could someone else confirm this?
Overall my sensation is now how I had imagined it would be before I got it - really fast and smooth. An excellent update.

5. Same here.

Forgot to say that internet runs smoother. I dont use the stock browser, but browsing in Dolphin is much more fun

looks like a promising update
thank you for your responses.
well it looks like the update seems good. I was particularly concerned with the app drawer touch response since my sensation has just developed it and feels really irritating. Hopfully the update should take care of it. Cant wait for the ota to hit indian shores, i guess itll take a couple of weeks.

It is very very smooth. Never had the deathgrip issue. My lock ring problem has gone also.

DS Sense 3.0 update - slow and laggy - memory problem?!

Hi all
Long-time lurker here.
I recently got the OTA Sense 3.0 update and I’m disappointed with it for a number of reasons – found a fair few bugs and there’s some aesthetic changes I don’t like (the Android+Sense interface is increasingly a mess!). Hate the 3D homescreen thing. Someone should tell HTC that flat is in!
But my main problem is that since the update the phone’s been generally very laggy. Scrolling everywhere is slower than before and can be very jerky. Overall the phone just isn’t as responsive as before. And here’s the weird thing – the new HTC task manager and other third party task managers are reporting only a total of 596 MB of memory available. Obviously the phone has 768 MB of RAM so I’m wondering if something weird is going on here? Has the new firmware somehow zapped the usage of the rest of the memory and therefore this is what’s causing the slow-downs? Or is it just that it’s showing the available memory minus Sense? Does anyone know what the deal is? I’m assuming other people are also seeing that RAM anomaly?
Thanks all – I look forward to hearing any theories and thoughts on this!
Cheers
Ben
The RAM is reserved for the Android core apps. You will see less with this new update as the phone requires more RAM.
Remember having less free RAM doesn't make your phone slower... Of anything it will be faster as the data is saved in the RAM..
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Ah ok, thanks for that - explains the anomaly.
I still think this update is laggy as hell. Shame. I much preferred the previous version. Hmmm, might be time for a root! I just wish there was a relatively straight forward way to root from this update. The idea of first having to revert to an old HBOOT and then do all the S-OFF, root and flash stuff kind of scares me.
Has anyone rooted from the new Sense 3.0 update? Is there a step-by-step process?
Thanks
Ben
Strange as I tried another OTA updated stock phone today and was quite impressed over how fast it actually was.
I know that this is severe but I'd possibly try a full reset and then look at speed after you've setup again.
I believe that you should still be able to unlock using HTCDEV site and then flash custom ROMS which remove the 3d side of sense.....with the super smooth 2d rosie fixes.
Yep, super smooth 2d is still 3d, but the wodgets have a 2d element, and its much faster.
Many people find it laggy after updating, but if they wipe and update it is fine
Agreed. Do a full factory reset and in fact you will hopefully find your phone faster than before. I did. Loading apps from the setup - manage apps screen takes about 2 seconds max whereas before it to at least 5

What about in app scrolling though guys, particularly in the browser? I'm finding this very slow and jerky. And in Google Reader and other content-based apps. Are you seeing this? The scrolling's horrible here. Want to check before I do a full reset!
Here's some bugs I've noticed too:
- The HTC Bookmarks widget. Scrolls very slowly.
- The bookmarks page in the browser no longer has a scroll bar.

Things i should know... :D

Hi Guys.
I have my Sensation coming tomorow, what are the things i should know, from you experiences of this from the moment you get it out the box.
Thanks in advance
Oliver
Common issues include:
Horrid battery life due to phone not properly sleeping (can be fixed by flashing another rom)
Dust underneath the screen
Two different displays, one is cooler and one is warmer.
Phone seemingly to suddenly die, battery goes out and phone refuses to turn on.
Heat, plenty of it when using the phone actively for 15 or 20 minutes.
Now I don't want to scare you, I've never experienced any of these issues aside from the heat thing (which doesn't hurt the phone). But I feel you should be unbiasedly prepared.
Good things:
Speedy, I recommend Android Revolution HD 3.x until ICS is stable.
Sharp display, qHD resolution makes a huge difference.
AOSP and Sense roms available.
Rooting is easy and with any HTC, clockworkmod is permanently installed. No loopholes or exploits just to get to it - unlike my sister's Sidekick 4G or father's DEFY.
Great mobile data speeds
And of course, it's the true first Beats phone if you flash an XE rom (Im looking at you, Verizon and Rezound.)
It's a great phone, and stable ICS is just around the corner.
Hi. I consider buying this phone as well. mattbutsko, thanks for sharing your impressions on the device.
I have to say that sometimes I visit the Sensation thread just to read some news/ information. I remember that some users have complained about the 3.5mm jack (the paint on the edge wears off which creates connectivity issues with the headset). Other users have issues with the responsiveness of the display; the quality of the power button; the quality of the back housing panel (The 'HTC' logo on the back falling off); etc.
IMO the Sensation is a great phone and I am a little surprised of all that user complaints. Currently I have the Wildfire S and I am stunned by the Sense interface and all. At the same time I don't experience any problems with the hardware or the build quality. Still, I feel it's time to move onto the next level and to give my WfS to my girlfriend or my sister (we'll see ) as a present. But I don't want to regret switching my phone afterwards...
So what would you advise me? What do I have to check to be sure as much as possible that I'm not buying a "faulty" unit - when buying the phone? Thanks again!
Cheers, i'll probably wait a couple of weeks before rooting etc to make sure everything is alright with the phone, but after that i would imagine i'll put an ics rom on. i'll see how it goes... Thanks =D
Hi!
I have the XE about a week now and everything is great so far. None of these problems exist, not even the overheating(which I was warned that in the first two charges would be intense) . I'm really happy with it ( but as I said I own it about a week now so ... )
What does annoy me though is the WiFi deathgrip... But I think that's solvable with a case

I got my Sensation about two months ago and I would never change it due to a few "problems" that could occur... Came from a Wildfire, this thing was an issue itself. Sensation is GOLD, compared to that.
Flashed different kind of ROMs, now testing Virtuous Inquisition v1.3.0 Senseless ICS (4.0.1), great ROM so far!
Never had any problems while flashing ROM or Radio/Kernel, rooting, make phone have SuperUser or CID!
best.phone.ever...of course, running ics 4.0.3

I would say to go for it. for all the users that have the major issues, a far greater number don't. This phone's great now, but ICS will make it even better, like, substantially better.

I'm new to Sensation's as well, can someone care to explain this problem? What exactly is the problem with it? Do all default phones come with this problem or does it depend on what ROM is pre-installed on it? And what ROM versions fix it?

Well there are three states your phone can be in. Screen on and in use, screen off and in use, and screen off and sleeping. There's a problem that can arise where the phone doesn't go into sleep mode and continues to run "awake". This drains battery quickly. Good news, it doesn't happen to everyone and most roms don't suffer from it (although my stock rom did - Sensation 4G TMO here). Someone tried to say it was a hardware issue some time back but I'm pretty sure that's flat out wrong.
I've only had it for a few Weeks now but I love it. I only had it a week before I rooted it, very easy to do. I was using the stock Tmobile updated rom and everything worked very well. I have it in a case and haven't noticed any dust under the screen, but I also haven't been looking for it. I also haven't noticed the wifi grip issue.
As for rooting and roms, ether are many to choose from, sense 3.0 or 3.5, cm7, and now I've betas. I'd hope within the next few months we will see an official ics released.

We got 2 in the family and we haven't experienced any of the mentioned faults in our phones. I got mine in early June, it's rooted and I run LeeDroid SuperSensational 4.2.1 on it and its really superfast. My husband's got the other one about 3 month ago, it runs stock and that one also works perfectely!
Thanks for all this guys!
But i am now getting rid of my sensation... i know ive only had it under a week.
Anyway the reason for this is tablets... i wanted to get one, but it would mean my phone was more pwerful than my tablet, which to me at least seems odd. so anyway im getting a galaxy not as a compromise between the both.
Thanks for all your help!
Well, can't say as I understand your reasoning, I don't really see how a tablet can replace a phone or vice versa, but glad you're happy with your decision.

Total Disappointment

I got to say that even with all of the great development here this phone has been overly disappointing..
This is my Wife's phone I use an SGS II. I was going to keep it stock but she was complaining about it locking up occasionally and poor battery life. So i rooted and have had her try out several roms of several flavors, sense 3.0 and 3.5 gingerbread of all sorts, and different kernels and all.. It seems no matter the combo the general use of the device seem sluggish at times.
Her biggest complaint is how sometimes she needs to pull for the notification bar 3 or 4 times before it will pull down.. Whats crazy is non of these issues are present at first, usually do not show for a few days.
I at first thought it was the set up but after so many mixes of different things i checked that off, then i thought it was an app but i had her go for a few days without installing anything and it eventually still happened..
I have decided it either the device just plain sucks or its the sense garbage clogging it up..
Any good ASOP rom recommendations?
Or any recommendations at all? Maybe someone else who had had issues with this device and who has found happiness could point me in a good rom kernel combo for this POS...
Sorry had to vent.. and any help would be great..
No problems whatsoever on the ROM I'm running. Did you make sure to superwipe in between each ROM flash?

No one else seams to have these problems i get no lag what so ever but if your looking for a good AOSP Gingerbread ROM have you tried Cyanogen Mod 7????? or eve MIUI as far as ICS ROM i like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1408351
have you tried swapping/formatting your SD card?
other than that, it sounds like you've tried everything...you may just have a bung handset...your problems are not common
I was having some of the same problems. No matter what Rom/kernel combo I had there were bugs. I went back to stock and voila... Smooth as butter. I guess the updates tmo released really fixed all of the problems I had when I first purchased the sensation. I suggest you try it out.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
I have been using sensation for 4+ months now. Yes the stock ROM is buggy but definitely not as bad as you are experiencing. I rooted and install custom ROM after one week stock ROM usage. May be you can try by 1) factory reset if not fixed then 2) format or new memory card.
All Gingerbread based ROM's are pretty good in terms of feature, performance and stability. For starters you can try insertcoin or android revolution HD. I would not recommend ICS based ROM since they are still work in progress kind of mode. Though most of the things will work with ICS ROM, looking at your frustrating experience I would recommend only GB based ROMs.
All The Best!
Faulty handset.
Get it replaced/fixed.
Never have I experienced any of these issues with my Sensation.
I use ARHD 3.6.x since day 1 and it's still as smooth as butter.
I use Daemon controller to take the CPU down to 1GHz.
I have many many apps installed and have nearly filled the internal memory with a few apps on the SD too.
I have removed a few system apps using root. What accounts are you using on the device? I have heard that a sense account can be a bit of a drain on battery and resources.

All of symptoms "pull for the notification bar 3 or 4 times before it will pull down.. Whats crazy is non of these issues are present at first, usually do not show for a few days. " are VERY similar to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239238

I think because her nails are long
I had a lot of sluggishness with stock but now I'm using MIUI and it's really smooth and is better on batt life w/o all that stock bloat nonsense. I don't know why I waited so long to root. Every now and then I have issues pulling the status bar but I figure it's just my finger placement or another app is running a task and hogging the CPU for a sec.

Thank you guys for so many responses im going to have her try an ASOP rom like CM7 and see if it helps if not maybe ill get it replaced..

I really think that you guys are just used to a less than smooth experience. and i don't mean this in a bad way. I have not only been exposed to my wife's Sensation but the weird dude upstairs Sensation >though its stock< is slow and choppy and has horrible battery life as well.. just saying its bad when when you take her G2 running a sense 3.0 rom and put it next to the Sensation running a similar rom and the older device is running it better..
OK, So after trying out the CM7 build and now Hypersensation I am going to say even without waiting <but the next few days will tell> sense is what really hinders this phones performance. Totally 1000% more responsive than ANY Sense rom i have had on this device.. still not up to par where i feel it should be but much nicer..
Ok if shes still in cm7 just leave it dont overclock it. Give it a few charges to settle. Everything should work smooth except the video camera. Glad i could help u.

I just returned my HTC One S under buyer's remorse for a number of reasons.
Severely Broken Multi-Tasking
As has been more publicized for the HTC One X, the memory management is so aggressive that you can barely multi-task at all. It's like the Generation 1 iPhone. Especially a killer, since one of my main uses cases is to listen to streaming NPR.
Signal Fluctuation Issues
I think the signal fluctuation issue was largely fixed by the recent update. Pre-update, sometimes I would spontaneously have no signal at all. Post-update, sometimes the signal drops precipitously for no reason at all, but hasn't gotten to the point of "X for no signal".
Bluetooth Spontaneously Disconnecting/Crashing
The bluetooth would spontaneously disconnect, pretty frequently--probably once every 2-3 hours of use. A couple of times I think it even caused the phone to re-boot. Again, since my #1 use case for my phone is voice calls for work (I know, who would have though, voice a primary usage for a smartphone! ), and my #2 is streaming NPR, this is a big problem.
Screen Size
I knew what I was getting, but I had really wanted a 4.6" widescreen (like GS2). I was willing to compromise on this, but it was a factor. Had I known T-Mobile would get the GS3 so promptly, I probably would have held out from Day 1.
Menu Button
For the many apps not updated to ICS, you lose quite a bit of space in portrait mode, due to the on-screen menu button. I know this isn't HTC's fault, they are following the Google spec, but it was a real bummer (and compounds the screen size compromise). I am thinking Samsung made a much better choice with the GS3 by going against Google's intent and including the menu button. Surprised this hasn't been discussed more, it is a real bummer.
It's all personal preference.
The multitasking issue has been greatly improved (some would argue fixed) over the stock settings. Signal issues could be a result of several things (location, firmware, hardware, etc.); likewise with the Bluetooth issues you mentioned. I am very pleased with the screen size and the portrait menu button doesn't bother me. Hopefully the GS3 (or whichever phone you are switching to) meets your needs.

how? i can't get One X multitasking fix scripts to run no matter what. i can edit the minfree values manually but they are getting reset on the next boot. the extreme values probably affect the overall performance too. are there some other methods to improve it?
What ROM are you using. Sounds like the init.d script is not running on boot.
The One S would really benefit from AOKP, CM9 or any AOSP based rom. But development is really stagnating. The community for this phone just suck and thats unfortunate cause it is a decent phone for the price.

I think development for this phone is going rather well. I think you should appreciate what the developers have already put out for us, its their time and they do it for free. You have an expectation which is just wrong.
We already have a CM9 and a MIUI rom, more will follow. You have to realise its still very early in the phones life.
Your options are to get a One X or SGS3 or deal with it. Alternatively you can build your own rom, I'm sure it will be great.
Ben is right stop being so ungrateful they use up their time and deliver awesome roms for free

i triple checked everything. the boot.sh is properly modified, the init.d scripts have the right permissions. even if i execute the script manually the minfree values never change, they are always the same. like i said, at this point i'm not even sure if all other ROM scripts are being run and active. i'm on the latest TrickDroid currently but the same thing was happening on Zydroid as well. if you have any other tips regarding this issue please do share!
Are you sure there are not multiple init.d scripts running and conflicting with each other?
Can you move out all of the init.d scripts except the one running the minfree settings. Also, try adding a line to the script to have it create a file so you know it ran:
touch /sdcard/Download/test.txt
Do you mind posting screenshots of what you are seeing?
OP wanted a larger screen and really didn't matter about anything else. He decided he wanted GS3 and put a little blame on everyone else. Should have just waited a bit man no need in downing guys that are working hard and also loveing the S One. I have tons of devices and picked this one for my own reason and glad I did. Have very little problems with it at all. We have some great guys working doing a great job, and if you've been following one-x s-off. There real close and that's going to be good for us as well.

WCCobra,
i tried to reboot with just the multitasking script inside init.d, it didn't create the test txt file. i'm not sure about the original TrickDroid scripts you see there though. when i rebooted without them the system behaved unstable so perhaps some of them do run? it's confusing to me.
the values in the minfree file from the screenshot are the original One S values that never change no matter what i run and how.
place the touch command in 01trickdroid
just tried that, no txt being created.
Check the locations. Your init.d scripts are all in /etc/init.d They should be in /system/etc/init.d

Ah, nm it's a softlink
I have a very splited opinion to the One S. I really do love this phone and i dont want to return it! But there are some issues which bother me. The HTC build quality is very impressive but all my HTC phones had a small defect.
HD2: i had to put a small piece of paper between the battery and the backcover to make it fit tight.
Desire: the vibration motor had a small disfunction.
One S: the glass is on the top left not glued accurately.
These are problems u can fix at HTC but they were not worth it to lose the phone for 2 weeks. There is the chipping problem on the black One S. The touch button issue. It seems like HTC tries to build a great quality phone but dont test it long enough.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One S mit Tapatalk 2
I know there are defects out there that's part of manufacturing. I'm just glad I got a good one. Also I still have my hd2 and use it everyday as a WiFi router in my truck. Even dropped it off a three story roof and busted the case and cracked the digitizer but keeps on going... Wished all phones were built that way

CM10.0 Stable Review

CM10.0 stable was released a while ago on the HTC One S (S4). I've used it for a week nown and thought I'd write a review. Basically, I'm trying to create the thread I wish I'd find before I flashed CM10.0 Stable.
I came from stock 4.0.4 with Sense 4.1, so whenever I make comparisons, I compare it to that.
The Good
- Stability. I've really only encountered a single bug. That's actually better than stock for me. Definately stable enough to use as a daily driver. I am really impressed by this.
- Speed and smoothness. Everything flows really well, making the interface a joy to use.
- Battery life. For me, it has been notably but not dramatically better. I get about 3.5 h screen time (I got about 3 h on stock).
- The interface. Everything is prettier than Sense. I could never go back.
- The settings. The number of settings isn't as large as CM7 (which was a bit insane), but larger than stock. You can tweak more or less everything you care about.
The Bad
- A bug making volume wake unreliable. It's on the tracker: http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=6720
This matters a lot for me since my power button is quite unresponsible. But it probably won't matter to most users (although I'd argue that waking the screen up with volume buttons is more comfortable than the power button)
- While it's great that you can cutomize the lock screen shortcuts, you can't move the "unlock". It's always to the right. You can install another lock screen if you want, though. It's a very minor issue.
- The contacts app doesn't seem to work with Facebook, so if you (like me) get all your contacts' pictures from there, you're out of luck. Slightly annoying. Third party apps like Haxsync can fix this though.
- The timer and the alarm are found in two different apps. And the timer app is a bit wierd, coming from stock. But it works.
Other notes
- Camera quality seems good enough. Taking photos is really fast, much like stock, but you can't just hold down the button to do burst mode.
- I don't miss Beats Audio. The DSP Manager, an included app, let's you activate bass boost in three different levels. For me, this gives more than good enough audio quality.
Conclusion
A great rom. Don't stay on stock
If you want me to add anything else, just ask
Us villec2 users are stuck with laggy sense. Really hope that since cm10 on the s4 is now stable, a kind dev would port it out for us. I don't even have 4.0.4 yet!
Awesome review!
Great that CM10 is now good to go!

Thanks for this great review.
Is it possible to shoot 8mpx widescreen pictures like in the stock rom ?
And is the battery life really better than stock? I've read that some users got a worse battery life on cm..
Did you experienced any wifi/2g/3g connection issues?

Sense roms don't take 8mp widescreen shots. To achieve the widescreen, they just crop the photos to something more like 6mp.
Battery life really depends on how you use your phone but for me its better on CM.
Other than the occasional disconnecting from wifi, everything is fine over here

thanks for your answer, didn't know this cropping thing.
hm, maybe I will switch over to cm too
On Sense, the "8 Mpx" pictures are 3264 x 1840. On CM10, they are 3264 x 2448.
Also, I haven't had any WiFi issues yet on CM10. I did have a few random disconnects on stock Sense, though.
What's this stable cm10 you mention? Don't see it in dev section

You can get it on get.cm. I don't think there's a specific thread for the stable version here on xda.
Echo
Do anyone of you have noticed that the phone call receiver hears an echo? I do not hear it myself but anyone I call hears the echo and hang up. I switched to stock Sense ROM and the echo disappears.
The echo comes back on CM10, I might try some more ROMs and see
Hello!!
As far as Facebook sync the best next thing is Haxsync in the market... Sooo worth it and it works great on CM10.
Can someone tell me how much the radio take effect on the battery life?
I'm on stock Rom with radio 1.06es now
Or will a new radio be flashed with during the flashprogress of cm 10?

I've made a few calls from CM10, and nobody has complained about echo.

I can confirm that Haxsync works really well!
I installed cm10 two days after i received the phone. There are a few annoyances, but i get good battery life, can run almost two days.
gsm and 3g works perfect, call quality is good, 3g speeds are decent, in my area i get about 1.1 mb/s down and 300 kb/s up.
System runs smooth and fast as default.
The things that annoy me is the bug where volume rocker doesn't wake the device, mentioned on first post.
Some sounds are too low, Alarm sounds compared to my Desire are lower, unlock/lock sounds as well.
When playing music, all info on lock screen is hidden, so you can't see time, weather or scheduled plans.
When you pause music from the lock screen, after about 3 seconds of silence, it'll play another 2 secs, then go silent again.
But, overall i'm happy, a few kinks which i'm sure they'll fix. It runs really well which is nice.
I liked using this but something didn't feel right (too buggy for my tastes) and prefer sense, but I love cm on my nexus 7 its amazing on nexus devices

Second that. I think it cost $1. Totally worth it.

I've been using this for a couple days as well.
Battery life seems worse than the available Sense ROMs but not horrible. Although I can't say for sure that its due to the ROM. I did flash a different radio at the same time.
Also the sounds seem a little lower quality. Not sure if this is due to the lack of Beats Audio or what?
"Snapiness" feels about the same as Sense IMO.
I do agree that this is definitely usable as a DD

You are not on 1.06es. Check about phone and you will see
How would you compare photo quality between CM 10.0 Stable and Sense 4.1 ROMs? I understand that CM 10.0 cannot access the HTC ImageSense chip because it's proprietary but is there a noticeable difference in taking pictures between the two ROMs?
just installed this.
for some reason the contacts app doesnt have a menu so i cant get in the settings to change my voicemail.
music playes for a few seconds after it has been paused.
currently in the process or wiping and reflashing stable to see if the problem persists

Yes big difference IMO to me it was unacceptable and switched back to sense but it is what it is, maybe someday the sense camera can be ported
