I just got my Xoom today, and I planned on rooting it... after upgrading it to 3.2. Is there any easy way to downgrade it to 3.1 so I can use the one click root? I'd really rather not mess around with commands to get this to work...
Thanks!

I was running the rooted stock 3.1 when I received the 3.2 OTA notification. So, I backed everything up with Titanium Backup and unrooted my xoom by going back to stock 3.0.1 (HRI39). First the OTA 3.1 came to me, then the OTA 3.2. Yeah, I was very glad untill I actually realized that I've lost my root, and honestly I can not find any instructions of rooting that brand new 3.2 Xoom Verizon 3g update. I do need root VERY badly, so guys,if any of you sees an instruction of rooting 3.2 on Verizon 3g Xoom - pleeeaseee be so kind to let me know.
What's always best to do is wait till they make a rooted version of 3.2 that works on a 3G Xoom, that way you don't have to worry about un rooting. It'll only take a couple days, these guys are fast.

Thank you very much!
I am actually a little afraid of this method, as it was posted kinda two days before the update itself actually hit my Xoom, but I will try it anyway!
jimmydafish, thank you so much! It worked!!! *searching for the "thanks" button*
Got this to work as well. Thanks for the post!
Not development. Post in the correct section. Thread moved and closed.
Hey all,
I am currently running this rom here:
Xoom Zone 2.2.2
All is fine with no problems, however the market is in US.. a minor problem.
As the UK now has 3.2, whats the easiest way to get back to 3.2 and then re-root?
I have the 3.1 image from Motodev website - should i go this route then update to 3.2 the root again?
Or... Is there a way on the xoom to change my market to UK version? - That i guess would be the easiest option?
All help appreciated..
Cheers
Hi all, im using a rooted TW device, build number HTJ85B.TW_epad-8.6.5.9-20110816. How am i supposed to unroot this device? Thanks!
Here is what I used and it worked great

I guess you have a transformer ??? make sure this is one for you before use. It is android 3.0 but you can ota update to 3.2. Good luck
You could always just update to the latest firmware. It breaks root. Wish I wouldn't have updated because I still want root!
you can do unroot without sd?
Hi guys, I'd like to know, is there any way for a stock user to get rooted on the stock ROM? Is there an easy method like the one with ICS? I only want root and nothing else.
Thanks!
PS: I used THIS method to achieve root with the A510 in ICS. Will it work here?
anyone try the old rooting method yet? im interested in doing this as well for jelly bean, still running 4.0.

I tried it, does not work.
Any chance to get it soon ??
I used to have a Prime and I read that once you went from ICS to JB, you could never downgrade due to the JB bootloader. However, it seems not the case on the TF700 as many downgrade to ICS to root then upgrade back to JB. Am I understanding this correctly? Is the software just that much different between these devices to do this? I was just curious about this. Thanks.

Yes, the tf700 you can downgrade back to ICS, the reason been is the ICS version .30 bootloader is using the same JB "Signature".
