Hi people, I rooted and flashed unity about a month ago, a few days ago I decided to try out lbc and flashed a kernal (I think). Since then I have experienced drops in WiFi and 3g seems to die after 5 mins then come back about an hour later.
I figured this may be a problem with lbc so flashed back to unity but the problem persists even after a full wipe. My immediate reaction now is that the kernal I flashed is causing this issue or a radio or something. Is there any way to flash these back to the originals? I rather stupidly didn't nandroid, so hope I'm not boned. I just can't seem to find links or anything
Regards

and in Settings/About phone/Software information, what Kernel does it say you have?
It says unavailable.
Between each rom flash did you wipe the cache and dalvik cache?, if not then boot into recovery and do the wipes and then instal stock kernel (which is now what I'm running with lbc-funding it niue stable and less issues than unity).
You can get kernel from lbc site (add ins)
Swyped from HTC Desire S using XDA Premium

Hello,
I am having some trouble with my T-mobile Sensation 4G. I was trying to install a Rom and seemed to have failed. At this point it will not boot past the first white screen with the green HTC logo.
I can get it into fastboot and Clorkwork mod recovery. However, I am not really sure what to do.
I have tried superwipe and it fails. Bootloader screen is as follows:

If I need to provide more information just let me know. Any help to get it back up and running would be great. I really appreciate your time and help.
Thank you in advance.
Most likely the rom will not boot on your current firmware. What rom is installed?
Option 1 is to restore a backup since you can access recovery.
Option 2 is to put the correct firmware on your SD using a PC, reinsert and let your phone update.

I don't think any rom is installed. It never got that far.
I first tried to update using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542192
However the update failed. After that the phone was just going into a reboot loop when I tried to start it up. I then tried to flash a new rom in the hopes it would fix whatever problem the first failure caused. I was following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
I was able to update the firmware from the linked page on that guide:
Firmware from 3.32.401.x & 3.32.401.10x RUU
I then tried to flash the Android Revolution HD 6.5.2 rom. It failed and when i tried to reboot it just hangs as described above. I tried to use superwipe and it also fails. I am sure at this point it is obvious I am lost.
Option 1 is not an option as I don't have a backup.
Option 2 may be an option, but I apparently don't know what the correct firmware is.....
Thanks again for the help.
I went back into fastboot and then recovery and tried to use superwipe, but that failed.
Option 1 is a no go because I do not have a backup.
Use this firmware instead.. it's worked well for me no matter which ICS rom I've installed..
Firmware from 3.24.401.1 & 3.25.401.101 RUU from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1412618
Don't get it confused with the one you've already tried. Then after you flash that version of the firmware, remove it from sdcard and flash a rom. It's worked for me as it should for you as well.. Hope this helped.. I'm also assuming that you've Super CID your device....
if this helped, slap the thanks button... thanks

If so, 3.12 is the correct firmware to get it to boot.

I was not able to boot normally after installing this firmware, but it did allow me to complete the superwipe. That was failing beforehand. Once I was able to wipe the phone I was then able to install a rom. The phone is back up and running now. Thanks again for the help. I appreciate you guys taking the time.

Well you should flash an extra thing in addition to the rom(and gaaps) if you are htc Dev unlocked...
If having 4EXT recovery then enable smart flash and flash the rom again
If any other recovery.. Then check for guide "flashing roms with SON " by asskickar in sensation general section and do extra #1 step from there
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
He said "s off HTC sensation."... Then it is not require to enable Smart flash manually .
May b this was due to bad download... , or due to not flashing additional files

So you can just try to reflash the ROM. ^_^

I did reflash the ROM three times but wi-fi do not works :/
What I did is:
1- Flash the rom
2- Flash the gaps
I tried also:
1- Flash the boot image (was inside the zip of the rom)
2- Flash the rom
3- Flash the gaps
But nothing ://
First of all sorry for late answer. The steps since you are s-on are:
1)Flash the Rom
2)Flash gapps package
3)Flash the boot . img from Rom via fastboot.
If you wanna try different kernel search the dev section for Kylons cm kernel

Same issue here... I was trying to flash: [ROM][08 AUG 13][4.2.2][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.1 (the 8-8-2013 build)
I wiped "data/factory-reset" + "cache" + "dalvik" and flashed the rom. Then I also flashed the boot.img using fastboot.
This all, while my phone was:

ROM booted very well, and everything seemed fine... Except for the Wifi, it did not work. It was able to see my network, but when I wanted to connect, there was something going wrong during verification and the connection was aborted somehow... Also connection to provider internet (G, 3G, H) was not working...
So I figured it might be my "original" radio shizzle... So after some very exciting moments of clicking dead links half way some guides , I managed to have my radio updated and also used revolutionary to get the S-OFF stuff... also updated my hboot somewhere in this process...
So now I have my phone like this:

Since I liked the 4ext recovery, I flashed that first. (Even though Revolutionary also flashed a recovery (Clockworkmod??))...
But after I wiped cache ("data/factory-reset" + "cache" + "dalvik") and flashed the ROM the wifi still didn't work. I didn't flash the boot.img since it was booting fine... After first boot, I also went back to the recovery and flashed the gapps. But after reboot, still wifi was not working...
Now I understood that for a "RELOCKED" device flashing the boot via fastboot is not working, since you're relocked... But I don't know if that's true, and I did not try it yet...
Now I'm back at the ROM I had before ([ROM][23 OCT 12] Ice Cream Saga FINAL [4.0.4][Sense 3.6]), which works fine except it gives me 100% CPU load now and then... which drains my battery and makes the phone so slow I feel the need to throw it very hard into a wall... :silly:
To flash this ROM, I wiped cache ("data/factory-reset" + "cache" + "dalvik") and flashed the ROM. I did not flash boot.img via fastboot. And to my surprise it booted right away too...
Does anyone know what to do to fix the wifi?
Please give me a hint on where I went wrong...
Thanks!!

Can you try with Format everything except SD card and then flash the ROM? I've read that sometimes you can try to format twice in a row. If you are S-OFF you don't need to flash the boot with fastboot command.

Thanks guys, for your replies.
I did the "format except SD card" a few times and flashed the rom and the gapps (without booting in between) and rebooted.
Still no G/3G/H and no Wifi.
GSM was working though, I could ring my phone......
Then I tried to flash this kernel: [ROM][07 JUL][4.2.2][OFFICIAL] PAC-man v23.0.0 - The AIO Rom | Built From Source !
And guess what.... No Wifi again...
Also tried this one: [ROM][16-08-13][Flinny] Andromadus - CM10.1 - Saga [25b3]
All no working Wifi... The "verification" goes wrong and does not succeed... So then I tried to get the Wifi working by selecting static IP address..... and guess what?! It worked!!!!! For a minute or so.... I was able to connect to my google account and downloaded half an update of one of the apps... but then it stopped and I couldn't get it working again... All this time the provider internet (G/3G/H) was not working.
So I flashed [ROM][23 OCT 12] Ice Cream Saga FINAL [4.0.4][Sense 3.6]) again... And Wifi was fine... provider internet (G/3G/H) is fine too....
So anyone have a clue?? I definitely don't.
What could cause the CM10 ROMs are not working, while the CM9 ROMs are? What could be the cause?
Next attempt is to flash "Kylon's kernel". We'll see... :fingers-crossed:
Its working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I did...
But first I tried this one: [ROM][22 AUG] SagaSation Rom v2.0 | JB | 4.2.2 | Official |.... again no Wifi!
So then I flashed this one again: [ROM][08 AUG 13][4.2.2][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.1 and right away (no reboot in recovery) flashed Kylon's kernel: [KERNEL]AndromadusMod [CM10.1][27/07/2013] and after that I flashed Gapps.
And guess what..... No Wifi....
Suddenly I noticed how the provider internet was working.... which was a new feature for CyanogenMod 10.1 roms on my phone!!!
So I checked Wifi settings again and saw how I got a "Authentication failure"... also different.... Searched google for it and found that this was a known failure for android phones... solved by changing the settings of the router... changed router from WPA/WPA2 mixed blablabla to WPA2-Personal and BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM wifi was working fine............
I don't know what happened or what I did to fix it.... but it's working!! :victory:
Thanks for the support!!!!
Thanks man u saved me!!!!!!!!!!
Thank u very much Mr. Fabulous!!
I did followed your steps and BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM all working fine!!!!!

also in viperS rom 3.1.2 and revelation rom works only one kernel
the one that is included
but wait for the update to 3.1.4 which will support voltage table

are you getting random reboots frequently?
we are using boot.img sometimes for the reason that sometimes during installation boot partition may not be flashed properly or failed

The reboots sometimes frequent sometimes not. It's quite random. I only faced it when using sense rom. Tried Revelation as well and got random reboots issues too. Now try flashing back to carbon rom which is not a sense rom to see whether I will get random reboots or not. :fingers-crossed:
EDIT: great... now i can't load into the carbon rom... after i choose the language and go into the welcome screen then it hangs and reboot... tried many times of clean install also no use... what is the problem with my phone? feel wanna throw it into rubbish bin already...
EDIT 2: I have restored back to ViperS rom and put it overnight. It has no random reboots over the night d, but my phone radio is draining my battery. I'm using GSAM battrey monitor and it show 8X% usage on my phone battery and the Signal Strength column says 98% is High(4).
Hi,
S-Off, root, hboot 2.00.2002 (PG8810000) LOCKED, radio 3831.19.00.110
Until today I was on ViperSaga 2.1.1.
This morning, without my knowing exactly what happened, the virtual keyboard is switched on arabic and plant each use "arabic keyboard stopped".
I backed up my config and decided to upgrade to 2.2.0 ViperSaga.
I downloaded the zip, I put it on the sdcard, reboot in recovery (4ext), full wipe and wipe Cache + davlik, I begin to install the zip and it gets stuck on the boot screen of ViperSaga.
Half hour later, as I was not full of patience, I turn the battery, I turn the sdcard, I copy the zip from another ROM (SVHD) telling me I do not know what probably it would work, I launch this new install from the recovery ...
Nope. Is blocked for half an hour!
Help
Thanks

What do you mean LOCKED? S-OFF bootloader locked?
Recovery work? You got white screen after rebooting or during installation?
What kind of display you have? READ THIS AND CHECK YOUR PHONE.
Try other kind of ROM like CM.

Hi,
I've got the white screen after the installation and the reboot.
Locked is here :
LOCKED
SAGA PVT ENG S-OFF RL
HBOOT-2.00.2002 (PG8810000)
RADIO-3831.19.00.110
eMMC-boot

I restored my system with the recovery Vipersaga 2.1.1. The keyboard still does not work. It is difficult to write a single line of code. However, my screen is a sony (s6d16a0x21 wvga).
I will try to update with this ROM (CM10.2).
It's nice to agree that we must copy both zip on SDcard, go to the recovery:
wipe data / factory reset
wipe cover + davlik
before starting the installation of the ROM?
Thanks

Maybe keyboard on Vipersaga 2.1.1 is faulty.
When I change rom, first backup nandroid then wipe all except SD then install from zip rom then gapps. That 10.2 works great on my saga.Try CM 11 too. GL
Strange you have LOCKED S-OFF...
Hi,
CM10.2 ok.
Thanks for all.

Rather than simply sending PMs to members (which is not the best way to impress people), how about searching and reading. There are solutions, but you need to read so you understand what you are doing it, and why - or you will end up with a paperweight instead of a phone.
