Turn Off your device then press volume down and power to boot into fastboot mode. On the top of the screen with green letters read if it says s-on or s-off. Also can u try Kylons kernel?

in the latest 19th CM 10, the kernel in packed in the rom.
So you can just try to reflash the ROM. ^_^

I did reflash the ROM three times but wi-fi do not works :/
What I did is:
1- Flash the rom
2- Flash the gaps
I tried also:
1- Flash the boot image (was inside the zip of the rom)
2- Flash the rom
3- Flash the gaps
But nothing ://

First of all sorry for late answer. The steps since you are s-on are:
1)Flash the Rom
2)Flash gapps package
3)Flash the boot . img from Rom via fastboot.
If you wanna try different kernel search the dev section for Kylons cm kernel

You have to use the following adb command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
I hope it helped

Same issue here... I was trying to flash: [ROM][08 AUG 13][4.2.2][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.1 (the 8-8-2013 build)
I wiped "data/factory-reset" + "cache" + "dalvik" and flashed the rom. Then I also flashed the boot.img using fastboot.
This all, while my phone was:
*** UNLOCKED ***

ROM booted very well, and everything seemed fine... Except for the Wifi, it did not work. It was able to see my network, but when I wanted to connect, there was something going wrong during verification and the connection was aborted somehow... Also connection to provider internet (G, 3G, H) was not working...
So I figured it might be my "original" radio shizzle... So after some very exciting moments of clicking dead links half way some guides , I managed to have my radio updated and also used revolutionary to get the S-OFF stuff... also updated my hboot somewhere in this process...
So now I have my phone like this:
*** RELOCKED ***

Since I liked the 4ext recovery, I flashed that first. (Even though Revolutionary also flashed a recovery (Clockworkmod??))...
But after I wiped cache ("data/factory-reset" + "cache" + "dalvik") and flashed the ROM the wifi still didn't work. I didn't flash the boot.img since it was booting fine... After first boot, I also went back to the recovery and flashed the gapps. But after reboot, still wifi was not working...
Now I understood that for a "RELOCKED" device flashing the boot via fastboot is not working, since you're relocked... But I don't know if that's true, and I did not try it yet...
Now I'm back at the ROM I had before ([ROM][23 OCT 12] Ice Cream Saga FINAL [4.0.4][Sense 3.6]), which works fine except it gives me 100% CPU load now and then... which drains my battery and makes the phone so slow I feel the need to throw it very hard into a wall... :silly:
To flash this ROM, I wiped cache ("data/factory-reset" + "cache" + "dalvik") and flashed the ROM. I did not flash boot.img via fastboot. And to my surprise it booted right away too...
Does anyone know what to do to fix the wifi?
Please give me a hint on where I went wrong...
Thanks!!

Can you try with Format everything except SD card and then flash the ROM? I've read that sometimes you can try to format twice in a row. If you are S-OFF you don't need to flash the boot with fastboot command.

I have to say that it is a quite strange situation... why don't you try to flash Kylon's kernel ? that might do the trick...
P.S. my device is S-OFF and *****LOCKED****, and I have no problems at all.

Thanks guys, for your replies.
I did the "format except SD card" a few times and flashed the rom and the gapps (without booting in between) and rebooted.
Still no G/3G/H and no Wifi.
GSM was working though, I could ring my phone......
Then I tried to flash this kernel: [ROM][07 JUL][4.2.2][OFFICIAL] PAC-man v23.0.0 - The AIO Rom | Built From Source !
And guess what.... No Wifi again...
Also tried this one: [ROM][16-08-13][Flinny] Andromadus - CM10.1 - Saga [25b3]
All no working Wifi... The "verification" goes wrong and does not succeed... So then I tried to get the Wifi working by selecting static IP address..... and guess what?! It worked!!!!! For a minute or so.... I was able to connect to my google account and downloaded half an update of one of the apps... but then it stopped and I couldn't get it working again... All this time the provider internet (G/3G/H) was not working.
So I flashed [ROM][23 OCT 12] Ice Cream Saga FINAL [4.0.4][Sense 3.6]) again... And Wifi was fine... provider internet (G/3G/H) is fine too....
So anyone have a clue?? I definitely don't.
What could cause the CM10 ROMs are not working, while the CM9 ROMs are? What could be the cause?
Next attempt is to flash "Kylon's kernel". We'll see... :fingers-crossed:

Its working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I did...
But first I tried this one: [ROM][22 AUG] SagaSation Rom v2.0 | JB | 4.2.2 | Official |.... again no Wifi!
So then I flashed this one again: [ROM][08 AUG 13][4.2.2][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.1 and right away (no reboot in recovery) flashed Kylon's kernel: [KERNEL]AndromadusMod [CM10.1][27/07/2013] and after that I flashed Gapps.
And guess what..... No Wifi....
Suddenly I noticed how the provider internet was working.... which was a new feature for CyanogenMod 10.1 roms on my phone!!!
So I checked Wifi settings again and saw how I got a "Authentication failure"... also different.... Searched google for it and found that this was a known failure for android phones... solved by changing the settings of the router... changed router from WPA/WPA2 mixed blablabla to WPA2-Personal and BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM wifi was working fine............
I don't know what happened or what I did to fix it.... but it's working!! :victory:
Thanks for the support!!!!

Thanks man u saved me!!!!!!!!!!
Thank u very much Mr. Fabulous!!
I did followed your steps and BAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM all working fine!!!!!

Restore device using fastboot only

Hello to all,
For some reason my HTC Sensation won't boot - it keeps on rebooting on the white htc screen.
It started doing this 1-2 weeks ago. Yesterday I managed to get inside the ClockworkMod Recovery somehow from HBOOT, and restored an old backup. Then I installed a newer radio and [ROM] Android Revolution HD 6.7.2 (the page recommended updating the radio). I also flashed the 4EXT Touch recovery, as it was required by this ROM, so I changed from Clockwork to 4EXT. The device worked for 1-2 hours, and then after one restart, it wouldn't boot again. This time I can't access anything but HBOOT and FASTBOOT.
Of course ADB doesn't work as I can't boot the device.
So the question is - what shall I update via fastboot "fastboot update update.zip" so that I restore my device? Or what file shall I put on the SD Card so that HBOOT can recover it (I have access to other devices, so I can place something on the SD card)?
I've been trying to flash various ROM's and RUU's but all of them give an error.
The configuration inside HBOOT says the following:
-Revolutionary-
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.27.1100
RADIO-11.24A.3504.31_M
OpenADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0104
eMMC-boot
Jan 12 2012,17:33:34
I also tried flashing a few recoveries via fastboot (clockworkmod recovery.img and 4ext recovery.img), but could get inside them :/
Let me know what else could I do.
Thanks for the support!
I just managed to get to the ClockworkMod recovery and installed a new ROM - OpenSensation. It worked during the first boot, but then when I rebooted the phone - the same thing happens - it keeps on rebooting on the htc white screen.
Of course I can no longer go to the ClockworkMod recovery.
I also notice that when going back and fourth between HBOOT and FASTBOOT menus, at the top the version for RADIO appears and disappears.
I am not sure if all this is a hardware or software problem, but it is strange that from time to time I manage to get to a recovery and install a ROM which works for a while and then sends me back to this rebooting loop.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Might be a hardware failure but.. First try ruu and restore to complete stock. Most of the times this fixes the issue..
For finding and flashing a ruu.. Look for ruu info guide by kgs1992 in sensation general section
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Thanks for the help. I managed to install successfully the following RUU:
RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.50.401.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_223042_signed
but it didn't work... it installed successfully, but the phone keeps on restarting on the white htc screen.
I figured that might be because of the firmware installed (I was on Android 4.0.x), so maybe this RUU is older.
I am downloading right now:
RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.5_R_Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.3504.07_M_release_252064_signed.exe , which definitely must be Android 4.0.x so I hope it works.
Thanks for the help and thanks to kgs1992
Ruu is complete rom.. It has everything In it.. When you run ruu you shouldn't consider the firmware, recovery etc etc.. It has everything built in
So when you flashed the gb ruu.. It flash stock recovery, stock gb firmware and stock rom
So when you flashed gb ruu it has turned to complete gb rom.. Anyways less hope that the ICS ruu works fine
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Somehow I thought that the firmware is separate, although I wasn't sure.
Anyway - the fact is that after a successful RUU update, the phone keeps on rebooting and couldn't boot even once. I hope the next RUU fixes it.
thanks,
Anton
Still doesn't work after trying a second RUU: RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.33.401.6_Radio_11.76A.3504.00U_11.24A.3504.31_M_release_266171_signed.exe

*** LOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL

try a AOSP ROM/CM9/CM10 lot of people had these kind of issues and they can boot only to a non sense roms ..may be you could boot fine on non-sense roms too
How would I flash CM9 CM10 or any AOSP, when I have access only to "fastboot". So far I could only flash those RUU-s from a Windows machine, as I can't get to any recovery.
Would it work if I try "fastboot update cm9.zip" or something similar?
Thanks,
Anton

Fastboot update command won't work
As you are soff.. You can flash jbhboot or 3.33 universal firmware with every thing removed except hboot_xxxx.nb0 file.. And unlock the hboot first
Then flash a recovery (you can avoid hboot flash and try a PG58IMG.zip file of recovery) from fastboot
Then from.. Recovery flash the cm9 or any AOSP rom
If you can't boot to recovery even after flashing the recovery fine.. Then try this command
fastboot boot recovery.img
(it boots into recovery temporarily.
From there you will flash a rom)

You can try using Fastboot Commnder
Instructions:
-download tool
-unpack zip and click on .exe application (is a stand alone app, so you have to click and confirm installation, that's all!)
-open tool
-put DHD in "Fastboot Mode"
-plug it to your pc usb
-Wait for "print of device succesfull"--(if fails, check your sdk driver)
-here you go to "misc"
-select: erase partitions (system, cache, userdata, boot) Don't select recovery
-click on "Erase chosen partition"
-Done
You can use this tool to flash a new ROM or even to flash a recovery.img
Your problems might also come from not flashing the correct recovery.
Make sure you have the latest version. Good luck

HELP - Stuck at HTC logo after hBoot update

Hi,
so my phone doesn´t work after my attempt to upgrade to MIUI 4.
I started of being on the old, Ginger Bread based MIUI rom. So I updated my hBoot following this guide. After finishing all the steps I was not able to boot back into my original ROM, which I restored from the nandroid backup, as instructed. I got stuck at the HTC logo.
So I went to this MIUI thread in order to download the new ICS based MIUI zip. Unfortunately, the link provided in this thread is broken. So I went to the official English MIUI website and downloaded the latest MIUI rom. I flashed this, and now I get beyond the HTC logo, but remain stuck at th "mi" logo.
So i thought I might try to flash the kernel provided in the MIUI thread here on xda, but I just can´t seem to be be able to find any downloadable file at the location provided.
So I tried to reflash the kernel provided in the hBoot update guide with no success. I was stuck at the htc logo again.
Reflashed latest MIUI - stuck at "mi" logo again.
I kindly ask the community for help..........
Oh yea and I can access bootloader and 4ext recovery.

You may need to wipe cache in the recovery after the hboot update.
Anyway you have already flashed stuff on top so it probably will not work.
The file from the official MIUI site requires the files in your new /lib partition to be present before installation. So if you desperately want MIUI go to miuiandroid.com and download it from there.
Or just use a Sense 4 of a JB ROM from this forum. Remember to make a full wipe in recovery before install.
And BTW there is a link in the Download section of the kernel thread. In your panic you haven’t noticed the "SHOW CONTENT" button
Wow,
so now the phone seems to be back to previous. Somehow the restore from nandroid worked out. Thanks God...
Still, I wasn't successful updating to MIUI 4.
The hBoot now shows:

Great, thanks for being with me. Well I'm used to MIUI and I'd like to stay with it.
Somehow I will work my way through to it hopefully.
I think I actually downloaded the latest MIUI zip from miuiandroid.com. I mean the one that didn't work for me.
Now I can see the link to the kernel.

Ok, so I can give it a second try and download the latest MIUI from miuiandroid.com once again and flash that (although I think that's what I did once already without success.) Do i get you right that this rom is supposed to be different from the one from the Chinese MIUI website?
Anyway, given that this probably won't work, are there any other suggestions/solutions? How about going through all the steps of the hBoot flashing guide once again?
Anyone?

[Q] After Venom 3.1.4 OTA update my Sensation wont boot

Hi,
I have a Sensation, been using VEnom 3.1.2 for a while and decided to OTA to 3.1.3 and that worked like a charm..
Then I found 3.1.4 and tried OTA that one.
ANd it installed and when it was rebooting for the first time it got stuck in a loop.
Only see HTC logo, (not Quietly brilliant) and for a few secs the screen is lit.
then turns black and after a few it turns back on, HTC logo and then blac etc.
Tried to go back to 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 and then the new 5.0.0. Tried the CM 10.1 and 10.2 ROM too.
Tried formating everything in recovery 4eXT is the one I am using.
tried formating the SD-Card, reinstalling ROM and nothing works.
You guys have and suggestions?

Hi guys
I've looked everywhere for a solution. Maybe someone know another post that I might've missed.
My phone won't start, it keeps rebooting to the white HTC screen.
Right, now to the problem. Before this problem I had a custom ROM installed (Carbon 4.3) which was getting a few errors so I decided to restore it with clockworkmod from a previous backup. Now what this did is turned the device to ****Locked**** and S-ON .
So what I did next is use HTCDEV to unlock it. Well that bit worked but it's still S-ON.
Now it shows
------------------------------------------------
*** UNLOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.29.0000
RADIO-11.24A.3504.31M
OpenADSP-v05.6.0.2226.00.0418
eMMC-boot

I can still go in to Recovery and use the 4EXT recovery Touch (v1.0.0.4 RC3) and i managed to wipe everything including the SD as I already backed it up. After I installed a custom ROM (Blitz 4.0). Everything went well, finished installing successfully. After a reboot the phone won't start to the OS. It keeps looping to the White HTC screen (without even vibrating every time it reboots). So I can install any ROM but can't boot into it.
I even re-partitioned my SD thinking that the mSD was the issue but no luck.
Any particular advice how can I fix this?
Many thanks!
Go to recovery---> tools--->enable smart flash
And flash Rom it will work
OR
flash boot from Rom by fastboot command
fastboot flash boot boot.img
For kitkat Rom update 4ext recovery to latest o think its rc 6

Hi and thanks for quick reply.
I've tried the first method (but no luck)
Although second one worked like a charm! :good: Thanks for that. Now my next question is: If I want to install another ROM will it make the same problem? If yes then how do I get the from S-ON to S-OFF? Will the Revolutionary Utility help ,me or mess it up?
Thanks again. :good:

just to know enable smartflash exactly before flashing the rom
and yes you will have to do the same if smartflash fail again
if you want to S-OFF you have to flash stock rom first
then follow this guide

Thanks rzr86. Will think about it before I'll S-OFF. I'm happy that I got it working again. Plus I don't use it anymore. It's my wife's phone now. Just wanted to flash a new ROM and pass it on to her and that poo happened. :cyclops: Now it's back to life.
( Thanks again "Itsakash")

[Q] Stuck on htc white screen

Hi,
S-Off, root, hboot 2.00.2002 (PG8810000) LOCKED, radio 3831.19.00.110
Until today I was on ViperSaga 2.1.1.
This morning, without my knowing exactly what happened, the virtual keyboard is switched on arabic and plant each use "arabic keyboard stopped".
I backed up my config and decided to upgrade to 2.2.0 ViperSaga.
I downloaded the zip, I put it on the sdcard, reboot in recovery (4ext), full wipe and wipe Cache + davlik, I begin to install the zip and it gets stuck on the boot screen of ViperSaga.
Half hour later, as I was not full of patience, I turn the battery, I turn the sdcard, I copy the zip from another ROM (SVHD) telling me I do not know what probably it would work, I launch this new install from the recovery ...
Nope. Is blocked for half an hour!
Help
Thanks

What do you mean LOCKED? S-OFF bootloader locked?
Recovery work? You got white screen after rebooting or during installation?
What kind of display you have? READ THIS AND CHECK YOUR PHONE.
Try other kind of ROM like CM.

Hi,
I've got the white screen after the installation and the reboot.
Locked is here :
LOCKED
SAGA PVT ENG S-OFF RL
HBOOT-2.00.2002 (PG8810000)
RADIO-3831.19.00.110
eMMC-boot

I restored my system with the recovery Vipersaga 2.1.1. The keyboard still does not work. It is difficult to write a single line of code. However, my screen is a sony (s6d16a0x21 wvga).
I will try to update with this ROM (CM10.2).
It's nice to agree that we must copy both zip on SDcard, go to the recovery:
wipe data / factory reset
wipe cover + davlik
before starting the installation of the ROM?
Thanks

Maybe keyboard on Vipersaga 2.1.1 is faulty.
When I change rom, first backup nandroid then wipe all except SD then install from zip rom then gapps. That 10.2 works great on my saga.Try CM 11 too. GL
Strange you have LOCKED S-OFF...
Hi,

Rather than simply sending PMs to members (which is not the best way to impress people), how about searching and reading. There are solutions, but you need to read so you understand what you are doing it, and why - or you will end up with a paperweight instead of a phone.
