[Q] Is there a way to flash Bluetooth Protocol - Sixaxis Controller - T-Mobile LG G2x

So is there any easy way to flash this on stock/EaglesBlood Rom. Currently I'm on Evil's rom which is based on the 2nd Gingerbread leak and it says I have missing protocol. Is there an AOSP bluetooth that I can just flash over stock ROM for it to work?
If someone could post some Quadrant scores for the G2x with CM7 and EB or something close to stock to see which is faster. If its roughly the same I might as well jump on board CM7 because from my understanding it works on CM7. I am going to flash to either the new EB based on OTA Gingerbread or CM7 anyway and am wondering which is better. If there is no big difference and I can't flash a BT stack I might as well go on CM7.
If someone has some scores for EB ROM based off CM7 that would be great too.

Best Rom to run without issues of stock G2X

Hi, I don't own a G2X but my friends do. Their both having data connectivity issues and random rebooting. One has leaked gingerbread rom and one has stock rom. I've given them new sim cards but still same problem. Can anyone recommend a good stable-ish Rom that can take care of these issues? I was looking at the Eagleblood 2.3.4 Rom any feedback?
Thanks for the help!

I'm having great results with the Ultimate G2X 1.0 rom. Its fast/snappy/responsive, very stable, everything works, great theme.
I've tried the CM7 nightlies and they're pretty darn good, but still enoight quirks that I'll stick with Ultimate for now as my main rom.
Here's a link to the Ultimate thread

EB 1.0.4 with Faux's Kernel
EB 1.0.5 with faux kernel, it's friggen awesome!
I will also chime in for EB 1.05 (the froyo based rom) with faux's kernal. I tried out Ultimate 1.0 on my phone, but I was getting a bunch of FC's and "zombie widgets." I doubt it was a problem with the rom itself...it seems to be an awesome rom. But I run SPB Shell 3D, and I think maybe there was some kind of incompatibility with the theming. I don't know...but I tried and tried, and finally just gave up and went back to the EB because...well, it simply works. I haven't had a single problem with it.

I want to try that out, but I think you have to flash other stuff with that as well? Like gapps? Little confusing for me since I'm pretty much a newb at this stuff
if youre looking for stability i use fauxs oc stock kernel with stock rom. all other roms at this point cause different issues. mainly games not working such as nova saying wrong version or not updating for me. stock wouldn't be my choice for looks but everything seems to work and OC kernel with Go Launcher EX and its new app drawer animations make it pretty cool.
p.s. everytime i try a rom then go back to stock i get a bunch of text messages that for some reason always never get recieved when using other roms as well.
I was new to this stuff like u about a week ago. I really like eaglesblood and you probably wont need a kernel. Eaglesblood fixed the issues I had. Oh BTW I'm using 1.0.5 if u were wondering

All of the 2.3.x roms have issues, not the developers fault, it is because the roms are based off a leaked early GB rom and are missing some of the drivers/features.
To me working BT and GPS are necessary features in a "best" rom, so I look to the froyo based roms, currently my every day rom is team Shockwave's Dark Sinister Rom.
If BT & GPS are not important, then Eagleblood Rom with Faux's OC Kernal is relatively issue free.

[Q] Confused about Froyo vs Gingerbread

I have a 1.2 branch G-Tab with Andriod 2.2 (Froyo) running Brilliant Corners but I have noticed that a lot of people seem to be running CM7 (CyanogenMod 7?). I was under the impression that CyanogenMod requires Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), doesn't it? How did everyone get Gingerbread on their G-Tabs? Does it update when you load the CM7 ROM or other Ginger edition ROM?

CM7 is Android 2.3. So when you load it onto your Gtab you will actually be running gingerbread instead of froyo. Since you are running 1.2 based brilliant corners (which is a rom i would really recommend) you would have to switch bootloaders to a 1.1 version to be able to load Cyanogen Mod. It really comes down to what rom you like the best. If you are more of a "noob" who wants all the features possible, I would stick to a Froyo based rom, because video acceleration as well as everything else is possible. Basically the further you step away from android 2.2 the more things start breaking.
2.3 --> video acceleration (main)
3.0 --> camera, flash, video (main)
I hope this helps.

Cyanogenmod 7.1 on bootloader 1.2 is also available on Slatedroid an perhaps more. I have tried it. Nice, but as said, Froyo-based ROMs are the only ones that work 100%. On Cyanogenmod 7.0, gyro messed up Army. Iper, on 7.1 no sound at all.

I was totally gonna add that section but for some reason forgot I have personally tried them and they work well. I just said 1.1 because that is what it was initially developed on. Something tells me that sooner than later the Cyanogen Mod team will make the bootloader switch when they really start seeing their work ported to 1.2

[Q] What ROM to choose?

So i've been looking at all the XT720 ROMs that are available now, and it's got me wondering which rom is the best? They all seem to be very similar.

It depends on what you are looking for, ill break it down for you.
Everything started with dexters froyo 1.3. Excellent breakthrough for all XT720 users so most of us started out with this ROM. Over time the excellent devs like khal powers, fjfalcon and Mioz7ae, worked on the same dexters froyo to create basically 3 ROMS.
1) Khalpowers Epic Steel V4, heavily optimized, fast stable, swap support and non stock appearance.
2) Fjfalcon, took the stock dexters and created RusMod 1.19 which is dexters with stock appearance and all the optimizations. He recently changed the kernel to the one from CB's Froyo, and also added build prop changes from there. It has multilanuguage support. He also created the SWAP kernel which can be applied to all the said ROMS, but needs a fastboot via USB everytime your phone reboots.
3) Khalpowers, ported MIUI which is a whole new experience. Depends on how much you like MIUI. Like epicsteel its very fast and stable.
4) Cincinnati Bell Froyo, built by CB using the same process as dexter. Much more stable than dexters.
5) WanHU's rom based on the original korean 2.2 is what most people are looking into right now. Stock 2.1 appearance. Very fast, media buttons working, radio working, TV out working, and with haptic feedback. This is the closest well get to an offical MOTO release.
If you want to go with a stock froyo appearance I suggest try either CB, or RUS mod. If you want different appearance try MIUI, or epicsteel. If you want the latest and most promising ROM which is just a treat to use go for WanHU. Personally id tell you flash WanHU, been using it nowadays and I have to say its pretty cool.

Need help choosing ROM

Which ROM is the closest to stock GB with the ability to OC?
Probably one of these:

personally i use cyanogenmod and i think that would be the best one to utilize! a lot of roms are based of cyanogen and for good reason too. cm7 gives you a much better experience than stock GB or modified stock GB. if you are going to install a new rom might as well go with cm 7
Another vote for Cyanogen. Works amazingly well.
Why do you want to stay so close to stock? Stock sucks (as do the other LG-based builds), IMHO.

Yah i like stock because the launcher is alot snappier and i like the black background of the launcher and the 3d waterfall effect. Also the green statusbar icons. It's the little things. IMO Stock GB feels snappier, especially the launcher. If you guys could provide me with some tips to get CM7 snappy and stock looking that'd be awesome. Thanks!
Well you're asking for something that's not possible as of yet. If you want stock gb (2.3.3), there are currently no kernels that will allow you to overclock. If you want to overclock, it's either 2.2, 2.3.4 or 2.3.5. (For now, at least. Not sure if any devs are working on a 2.3.3 kernel or not.)
CM7 is ok, but the lack of ability to control HDMI output and the fact that the HBO Go app doesn't work are big drawbacks for me. I switch back and forth between CM7 and xboarder's rom based on my needs.

I am currently on xboarder's rom (tweaked GB) what's the method of installing CM7 and switch back to tweaked GB without losing apps/data, etc when I want to. Thanks!

I'm noif you create a backup you should be able to switch back and forth between backups.
Overclocking is the realm of the kernel, not the ROM (though kernels are ROM-specific)
faux's is probably the best for OCing, and it runs on CM7 and EaglesBlood. EB is closer to stock, though CM7 is a wonderful, wonderful ROM.
Thanks everyone! I found a better choice. Faux's AOSP ROM. How come no one suggested it haha

[Q] What would you use in place of a CM ROM?

So I bought a tablet and am going to be using it for most things.Android and can let my G2x go back to being a full fledged phone. I really miss being able to use Bluetooth.
So for the ROM I need BT calling to work as well as WIfi Calling
I don't want to go as far as stock, possibly rooted stock, Was wondering what non-CM ROM you would choose any why? I've always used CM ROMs. Not sure what to use now.
Yes, this is a personal opinion question.

My guess is, that you flashed to the latest Baseband. You could always revert back to the Jul 15, 2011 Baseband via the KDZ method. I have found that the CM GB ROM's are more polished and feature-rich than any of the stock ROMS that exist.
If going back to Stock is your only recourse, I believe there are 2 modified Stock ROM's based on the new Baseband that you will want to take a look at. One is by KWES and the other is by BURU (I believe). I am most positive KWES has one out there though. Have a look in the DEV section and make sure you're looking for 2.3.4 ROM's. As far as Kernels for said ROM's, I think you're looking at using stock or some of FAUX's early .9 kernels (v0.13 I believe).

Yeah pretty much what he said. The most stable and reliable would be any modded stock ROM by kwes or myself.
I am getting ready to flash them today. Just picking out correct kernel's.
Ill try both and see what i live.

Running buru now. I'll run it for a 48hr test drive, than kewes and make a pick.
I just don't wanna mess with the entire kdz to flash to a lower BB to run CM7 with BT, something tells me I'm gonna miss CM7 in the long run. lol

Hah I know what you mean .
I would suggest to also stick with stock kernel if you sun into any problems. They actually did a decent job on it.
Pretty pleased so far. With ADW launcher and Magic Locker I've gained into ths stock ROM what I used most in CM7. Apps handle a lot of those things for me. SD Booster and Swapper as well.
I am using faux 014b2 kernel with your ROM buru. Simply fast. Happy so far. Thank you!
