Hi,
I was browsing the market on my pc and noticed bejeweled 2, I had searched for bejeweled on the market app and had not seen this from my tf so I went to the market from my browser on the TF. I found bejeweled 2, but when I tried to click on it my screen darkened. I clicked on buy and it asked which device to install on, the TF (the only choice I have) was grayed out and I got a message saying something about not being available on my carrier.
I am pretty new to this, but I am pretty sure I dont have a carrier on my TF. I have read several threads about this in phone threads, but couldnt find anything about this on the TF.
anyone have any ideas, how I can get full access on the market. I am in the USA, in Missouri.

Its likely that its not compatible with your device. The market wont let you install applications that are indicated as incompatible with your android version.
I was reading something about clearing data and cache for market in a different thread. I have seen this clearing of data and or cache to solve different problems as well. what I haven't found yet is how to clear them.
Is it just deleting the files in the directory's, or is there some other way to do this?
I am going to see if i can find out about the comparability, and see if that is what the problem is. Just weird it mentions carriers.

So between flashes I started backing up my apps to the sd by using the AppControl app. Worked like a charm–no problems. So after flashing a new ROM, and installing the apps I had backed up, package installer had issue with a few, and said it couldnt install, even though they were apps I had on my previous system, and were fully paid for. So now im thinking, no problem, ill just go to the market and re-DL them...and this is where it gets strange, but the actual listing for the apps that I had problems with no longer show up in the market for me. I mean, they really dont show up. I have searched by name, scanned QR codes and went to the dev's other apps and went to the visit more apps link. Even stranger is that one of the apps that didnt install and is now gone (nesoid) is made by the same guy that made an app that did (Snesoid). When i go to view just his apps, Snesoid shows as installed, but I just get the listing for nesoid lite, no nesoid at all.
Any ideas?
The only thing i can think of is if you flashed an ADP1 which you cant see paid apps with.
On a side note i dont think this belongs in development more like QA
I'm having a similar but probably unrelated issue. I went to use I tweet! today only to notice its no longer installed on my phone. Neither is Hello IM, which I paid for. They show up as installed in the market, but when I open the market listing, both the open and uninstall buttons are greyed out.
I tried repairing the ext partition using the cyanogen recovery, no effect. Movies by flixster is also missing, and I'm sure there's probably more that I haven't noticed. These apps are not in the manage apps settings, so I can't uninstall them. I do have nesoid still, as well as many other paid apps.
I think my sdcard is just dying, but wonder if anyone else has experienced this as of late?

Anyone with the knowledge to help with this is going to be a dev type. Thats why I posted here.
If it was a problem with just the rom it should have been solved by flashing to a different version which i did. I have tried this on 2 versions of eclair and 1 donut.

I experience this problem when tweaking the props files to make google navigation work but now that they released it for 1.6 i went back to regular cyan prop files and all my apps where their except for 1 I cant seem to find it but who cares it was 99 cents. But to answer your question I had missing bloo, weekly wallpaper ( a joke now) and the game i cant find still.

dont sweat it if you havent wiped or reformated your sd card in a while you should have them you just need to know where to look ima pm you with a link of how to check sd card okay

Quick question. My transformer installs apps from the market fine but when im navigating around the market looking around the apps ive already dont show as 'installed'. Instead it shows 'free' or the price of the app. When i click on the app it shows as installed and it also shows the installed apps within the 'my apps'......is this normal????

Thanks for confirming this, i though i was going mad. I half remember reading a review of honeycomb and it included this issue but i cant find it now. Its a hard one to Google as it gets mixed with people who cant install apps or cant see apps in the market.
I remember hearing that 3.1 would fix this problem.
Hmm i thought i was going nuts when downloading apps and sometimes they dont show up anywhere, hope 3.1 irons this out

agree, very annoying...
I had the same problem, I did a system reset and it all started to work also make sure you do not uncheck the restore device settings. I think that was the trick for me.

Hey everyone, I downloaded the cracked version of Beautiful Widgets (i know, i know, bad idea) well now i wanna buy it and support the Dev. Problem is, the market says the app is purchased even though it really isn't, how do I clear this? tried wiping cache, history, dalvik cache, fresh rom install and nothing works. Any help?
Uninstall tge cracked one, buy the new one. Problem solved

This has just been sitting in the my apps section of marketplace since I ran market doctor in Titanium Backup. I have absolutely no idea what this app does, (if anything) both the description and Whats New text simply says LocalTryTry followed by two screen shots of a three paned interface that is completely blank. Attempting to update the app fails and I can find no actual trace of it's existence on my transformer anywhere.
So I ask, what is this thing had how do I get rid of it? Frankly Its freaking me out a bit.

Using Titanium Backup just unlink LocalTryTRy (Asus weather) from the market and it stops nagging you about updates that always fail.
Well first post gets an answer pretty quick.

May have been answered before but searching didn't bring anything up for me. Basically I want to clear the data backed up on my Google account regarding Android (WiFi, Market apps, Settings, etc) so I can start again.
Anyone know how to do it?
OK, managed to find somewhere that if you go into your Privacy settings and uncheck the backup option it says it'll delete everything. Is this correct?

For reference, the above doesn't work. Tried clearing the lot, wiped all data and reflashed my ROM and it still restored my apps, etc...quite annoying really. I mean, its good, but if you wanna start from a clean slate it would seem you can't!

Quick edit: Turning off backup DOES delete settings relating to the phone but NOT the Market. Must be a separate backup which I can't find!
EDIT: OK, sign into your Google Dashboard and you can see what's backed up and when but you CANNOT delete it. Why the hell not?!?!

Bloody well hope not! I've emailed Google so we'll see what comes of it but surely if you delete an app it should NOT come back the next time!
On a related note, anyone know why some apps I install are NOT listed under 'My Apps'? I'm guessing it's linked to my account somehow but, again, it's annoying!
Erm depends if they where downloaded from Google it self or if sourced from some where else they won't show up I should know
If u have titanium backup go to
Menu/more/market doctor and it will fix broken links to Google market

Randomly enough, it seems to have worked anyway! It said I may have to 'download any app' to get it up to scratch and, seeing as Superuser needing updating, I did it. It now shows all Market apps in My Apps!
Yh I did it I was playing around and now I have like 20 updates but can't update them.as there ermmmm not from Google

I'm just glad to have it sorted, was doing my nut in! At least now everything is cleared and setup from scratch so hopefully won't have to complain again. Still think Google should have the option
