Quick question. My transformer installs apps from the market fine but when im navigating around the market looking around the apps ive already dont show as 'installed'. Instead it shows 'free' or the price of the app. When i click on the app it shows as installed and it also shows the installed apps within the 'my apps'......is this normal????

Thanks for confirming this, i though i was going mad. I half remember reading a review of honeycomb and it included this issue but i cant find it now. Its a hard one to Google as it gets mixed with people who cant install apps or cant see apps in the market.
I remember hearing that 3.1 would fix this problem.
Hmm i thought i was going nuts when downloading apps and sometimes they dont show up anywhere, hope 3.1 irons this out

I had the same problem, I did a system reset and it all started to work also make sure you do not uncheck the restore device settings. I think that was the trick for me.

I cant download or install anything from the market. This just started happening within the hour.
It acts like it begins the download, then nothing.

Same for me. Maybe the servers are in maintenance.
For the moment I think that all we have to do is wait and and see.

I'm also having an issue starting today with downloads/installs using AppBrain and the stock Market place
I have a Samsung Vibrant running Bionix-V 2.2
Seems like only certain apps won't download (like Google Maps), I just downloaded an update for Mixzing though and it got installed
It just looks like it downloads and then it goes back to saying "Update" or stalls at the end of the download and doesn't install
Just thinking: maybe it has to do with the Google announcement that'll happen today. It is rumored that they would introduce the Android Market website besides Honeycomb ... So they may be doing tests or else that could have an impact on the market?

We haven't heard anything about a market update
EDIT: They are working on an in browser android market so that might be the cause of the issue.
Wifi download didnt work, edge it worked. Then tried again and it worked. Servers maybe
Been trying on wifi and 3g, no go. No application can install/update. Instead, it "pretends" it is installed (shows in my Downloads/My Apps section), allows me to comment/rate, but still reports "Free" instead of "Download/Update"

Thanks. I've turned off Wifi and managed to download and install the app that was blocked at downloading

Android Market acting weird -- is it a precursor to tomorrow's event?
We've gotten a bunch of tips in the past hour or so that the Android Market is doing weird things, and we can corroborate this on our Nexus S here -- we're just not able to download stuff. Apps look like they're starting to download, then they suddenly vanish into thin air without a trace and without an error message. Our Droid 2 is still fully functional, though, so this definitely isn't consistent; really, we're just wondering if this outage might have something to do with tomorrow's Android-themed festivities at the Google campus, which -- naturally -- we'll be attending. So how is everyone faring out there tonight?
Hi, you may try to clear Market cache in app settings. I used to solve my problem in that way.
is anyone else aware of a problem in android market where certain apps cant be clicked on but downloaded, comming up with the message :
sorry, details page for the requested item could not be found.
has just happened for me trying to get skype and various other apps .
I got that message too when I'm trying to open the XDA-Developer Premium page as well as many other apps.

A google employee has posted on the support thread for this problem that they've made some changes and paid apps do seem to be working again for me.

I'm kind of relieved that it is as I noticed the problem just after rooting my transformer and I really wasn't looking forwards to working out how to undo it

I was browsing the market on my pc and noticed bejeweled 2, I had searched for bejeweled on the market app and had not seen this from my tf so I went to the market from my browser on the TF. I found bejeweled 2, but when I tried to click on it my screen darkened. I clicked on buy and it asked which device to install on, the TF (the only choice I have) was grayed out and I got a message saying something about not being available on my carrier.
I am pretty new to this, but I am pretty sure I dont have a carrier on my TF. I have read several threads about this in phone threads, but couldnt find anything about this on the TF.
anyone have any ideas, how I can get full access on the market. I am in the USA, in Missouri.

Its likely that its not compatible with your device. The market wont let you install applications that are indicated as incompatible with your android version.
I was reading something about clearing data and cache for market in a different thread. I have seen this clearing of data and or cache to solve different problems as well. what I haven't found yet is how to clear them.
Is it just deleting the files in the directory's, or is there some other way to do this?
I am going to see if i can find out about the comparability, and see if that is what the problem is. Just weird it mentions carriers.

This has just been sitting in the my apps section of marketplace since I ran market doctor in Titanium Backup. I have absolutely no idea what this app does, (if anything) both the description and Whats New text simply says LocalTryTry followed by two screen shots of a three paned interface that is completely blank. Attempting to update the app fails and I can find no actual trace of it's existence on my transformer anywhere.
So I ask, what is this thing had how do I get rid of it? Frankly Its freaking me out a bit.

Using Titanium Backup just unlink LocalTryTRy (Asus weather) from the market and it stops nagging you about updates that always fail.
Well first post gets an answer pretty quick.

I'm running chromi-x. My chrome browser's address bar search feature is somewhat hijacked...
<search term> goes to google/yahoo/bing (as set in settings) but it searches for: http://www.search-goal.com/?q=<search term>&affID=<somenumber>&babsrc=amob_ait
Has anyone seen an android browser hijack? Any idea how to fix? AVG A/V hasn't had any luck....
EDIT/PS: This is not happening in the default android browser.
Oops. Didn't read properly. Sorry. Forgot you said it searches the correct engine.
Edit: after a few Google searches, I can't find anything about search-goal.com, and the site has no information about itself either. My best guess is an app you installed is doing it. Uninstall anything you may have installed in the last week or so, and see if the problem goes away.
My suggestion would be to uninstall reinstall if that doesn't work, reflash the rom. I just went to search-goal.com on my pc and it looks dangerious. Im wasn't aware the homepage could be changed without user input, if you've installed any root access apps (essentially any apk files) id uninstall them.
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried uninstalling chrome. Got it uninstalled but had a heck of a time re-installing. It would NOT wipe /data/data/com.android.chrome. I finally removed that with TWRP. After reinstalling chrome it's still doing it. I've done an "install over" rom install (install, no data wipe) and it's still doing it. As much as I've tried to avoid it I think I'm going to have to wipe/reload/reinstall apps one by one. My last shot is I'm trying to find where the search engines are set up if it's a file somewhere to see if I can edit it.
Definitely malicious given the one time I tried to open it on a PC that I knew I could clean if I needed to it came up looking like a google clone.
Thankfully it's not actually loading that site so it's not doing anything but being annoying when I try to search.

I had the same issue at my tf101 (at Team EOS rom) - and I was able to find the reason: in my case A.I. type keyboard app and the so called customized web search capabilities. When you remove this "feature" chrome search is back to normal.

Many thanks be to timbetu! I shut off all my extra keyboards I was trying out. (FloatNSplit, GO, Hacker's, & Perfect Keyboard Free). That left the Android, ASUS, and Google voice typing turned on. Sure enough it went away! I was actively using FloatNSplit at the time. Will do some experimenting to find out if it was that one or another.
You have saved me from having to resetup my tablet!

I'm using floatnspin keyboard and that seems to be my issue. There is a setting for web searches and once I turned that off my browser worked normally again. I guess thats a new "feature".
Had the same problem, uninstalling the app fixed it. Please flag this app in Google play so Google can know about this! If you ask me, changing the default search engine without notifying the user is pretty nasty and malicious.
FloatNSplit and A.I. keyboard seems to be the same app.

I recognized this problem at my tablet and searched for an solution. During my search I found this topic here - but unfortunately without help. So I tried everything at my Asus and as I discovered the guilty app I just shared this finding with other affected users (because I knew of this thread).
