how the F do I take off the Seidio Surface case =[ - HTC Sensation

I have no idea how to take it off lol. Scared to apply too much pressure to break the phone.

If you pull up the seidio site, there is a tutorial on how to remove the case .

Lol its a little tricky.. you squeeze the top sides together near the bottom half, and push down while you pull on the bottom half...

thanks for the help. 1 more question... when the case is on, at the edge where the 2 components connect, is the top portion raised a tiny bit over the bottom portion on the right middle side? or is it supposed to be completely smooth (neither pieces are raised, just straight smooth)

Creaky battery door FIX!

Ok so I did some experimenting these past hours and I've found a terrific solution to the Vibrant/SGS4G creaking issue that many people have encountered!
Heres what you need:
*Papertowel
*Scissors
LOL not much of a list but trust me!
Step 1: Take your battery door off of your phone
Step 2:Cut a rectangular piece of papertowel enough to fit over the battery, sim and sdcard
Step 3: Place the rectangle cut over the back of the phone
Step 4: Now put on the battery door directly over the papertowel peice
IE: You should notice that the battery door now fits tighter and has no space to make contact with the plastic inside, the papertowel acts as a buffer between the plastics - eliminating the creaking noises.
[EDIT] - Don't cut too big of a piece and if its not snapping on as normal i'd suggest not forcing it and reducing the size of your cutout.
Kool ill have to try this if the creaking gets to bad. Thanks bro

Will do when I try, creaking isn't that bad yet but it will most definetly get worse over time but atleast we can fix that now.

Haven't heard any creaking yet. I've owned a Vibrant and now this. Wouldn't the paper towel cause more heat? I dunno. I'm thinking it's like leaving your laptop on top of your bed effect. But then again it is thin. So I dunno. lol.
The battery door definitely fits a bit loose to the back of the device and makes loose contact with the bezel. What I did was just stick two pieces of scotch tape to the back of the cover side by side which seemed to work fairly well.
Not having to do with the battery door, but if your bezel creaks, some units have loose bezels out of the box. You could try to tighten the screws on the bezel on the back of the bezel (with the cover removed). Of course, I am not responsible if you break it.
Mine creaks around the volume rocker

My bezel definitely creaks . So all I gotta do is tighten the screws behind the battery cover right?

It helped a little on my unit. I don't think it is the bezel itself as it is the battery door contacting the bezel in a manner that causes the creaking. Does it creak if you take off the cover?
This worked great lol

Sorry to hear that. If it creaks with the cover on, then you should try the trick from the OP. My bezel was loose and creaking a little with the cover off. Sucks to be OCD...
Thanks for trying my method guys hahahahaah OCD FTW! Everybody thinks i'm a freak because i get so off kilter with such little things but, glad to see i'm not the only one who had supersonic hearing!
is this the only way to fix it? I am getting pissed of that my SGS is creaking..****ing **** build quality
I don't think its a good idea to do this. The paper prevent heat from dispersing when your phone heats up. If too much heat is generating while you play game or use your phone it might cause the battery to explode.

Ok i thought so also but there is no other solution to stop the darn creaking sound?!
Buy a case. Not being a smart ass. I bought a body glove case and have no creaky door issues. Plus it gives the phone a little more mass, makes it feel less cheap and not as slippery.

already have a tyre case, do u recommend any other case?
Lol, do you guys Chuck Norris grip your phones? I only get that sound when I squeeze pretty hard on my phone.
Also, putting a piece of paper there seems dangerous. My battery gets pretty hot sometimes when I play with it for too long (games, YouTube, etc.). I'm sure that heat would make the paper catch fire. Then again, I'm no fire expert. XD
It might just be the case I have, but I've never heard the phone make any creaking sounds. This is a simple fix though if you have the problem haha.

How do you get the back off these things?

It can't be just me. The back of these phones are ridiculous to remove. Have you found any tips or tricks to remove your cover without breaking a nail?

Use a penny
Just pry it off, it wont break i promise
I stick my thumbnail in the slot at the top and slide it over to the edge away from the power switch and down the other side till it pops off.

I use the exact same method, its really not hard at all......unless you cut/bite your nails very short

Use this only as a last resort. I did it, and it chipped away a small piece of the cover.
I've got the shortest nails you can possibly find (meh, I'm a biter. Sue me.), but I can still get a nail in there just barely. Then I just push/pull/pray, and then once the cover comes off, I admire my nail which is now slightly further away from my finger.
HTC really screwed up with the battery cover on the Thunderbolt. x_x

I would say they screwed up on the software that causes the battery to drain, then you wouldn't have too much reason to open the door anyway.
I love that its this hard to get off, every other phone I've ever had was too easy to come off.....

CROWBAR!!!!
just kidding!
I use middle finger on the tab then after it starts to lift up I slide my index finger nail in there as well.
HTC definitely makes some PIA backs. Wondering with all the battery swapping if I need to buy an extra to have on hand. Anyone break their's yet?

Removing case mate barely there?

I just got the barely there case and put it on. How do I get it off? I tried grabbing one side with my nails but can already see it digging into the plastic. How does everyone else take it off?

use 2 hands, one hand on the left, one hand on the right, then use your nails to pull both tops sides off..
Haha now that someone else has posted something about this, I'm not as embarassed to admit that I can't get my barely-there off.
Maybe you can try prying it open a hair with your nail and then wedging a credit card in the gap. Then just run it up the side to dislodge the entire thing.
got it off with no problem

Would you mind sharing as to how you did it?

To get the case off, I start by working on the bottom right portion of the case. I hold it in a landscape orientation with the front facing camera on the left. Left hand holds the top left and my right hand sort of cradles the right side of the phone. (Top left/right side via your own point of view, aka left hand holds top right of actual phone while right hand holds bottom of the phone)
From that position, I slowly nudge the edge of the case off the top right with my two thumbs and using my middle and fourth fingers to push off the phone's speakers through the holes as leverage.
Once you've gotten that corner edge off, it's a simple matter of pushing along the edge until the whole side is off and the phone is free.
Hope that helps!

start from the top, pull both side outwards, so both top sides are off, then put a finger between the case so it doesnt snap back on then work on a bottom side, then walla
hold it facing out camera at the top facing you. grip it pressing the middle with your thumb while pulling back on the ends. you should be able to pop it off then

Is anyone elses case getting a little loose round the edges?

I can squeeze the edges of the left hand corner/side/top and it feels like its loose.
Just interested.
Yep - very slight.

The bottom left corner of mine has some movement now (~3 months old)
Mine has been slightly loose since day one. It doesn't seem to be getting any worse though.
You might want to add a poll.
Yes mine has always been loose in the bottom left area on the bezel. I just hope it won't get any worse :fingers-crossed:
Also, when I slightly twist the device (very, very slightly) I can hear an audible click. I don't really have to apply that much pressure.

LG V10 Dent

Is it just me or has any one else noticed the dent in the top right corner? There is one in the top left corner but less noticeable.
Post a picture please.

Yeah no issues here with what appears to be dents. Sure you didn't drop ?

I assume you are talking about the gap between the metal rail and the upper bezel - That's definitely not there on my phone.

I still don't see an indentation... But yeah, the gap is definitely not normal. I'd compare to floor model at the store. looks like maybe it was dropped or defect in materials?
I have that gap In the rail as well
Are you talking about the flat part on the metal rail, on some end, right near the corner, I have it, but I think it's more of a machine mode press.
About the gap, I have that but it's on the back, one side has no gap, whiles the other with a noticeable gap, I also think its the mode press, I have notice this during my purchased and I also check a few other, and most of them have it.
update: looking carefully, it's probably the battery cover on one side is slight short.
Gap
No gap

Manufacturing inconsistency is what you have OP. It happens, you could try calling your carrier and see if they will exchange. But it doesn't hamper the phone.
That's a shame. The exterior of my phone is put together with precision.
Lol both of mine were good
I too have that gap, upper right hand corner
yea it happends sometimes, I think u can exchange for a new one (if they have a perfect one)
