never buy codes from www.htcsimunlock.com/ - HTC Inspire 4G

Hi everyone, 1 week ago I bought a unlock code from this page for my inspire 4G (13 usd), 2 seconds later they gave an email telling me that my code is not found and I must pay (25 usd) more to send me the code... Obviusly I reject that option an bought it from eBay and 15 minute later I have the code on my email. They don't want to refund me. I emailed them since that day and nothing happend, maybe they won't give my money back.... So be carefully with this site.....

Why would you pay money for a unlock code, when you could just as easily rooted the phone and have it unlocked for free?

WTF!!! We do it no cost here as it is. Please read before spending any money next time please. Or just ask

Agreed. With a little time spent reading, you could have rooted it for free. Sounds like you got scammed. Any legitimate business or service will not use those types of business practices. If you paid by debit or credit, I would contact your bank to contest that charge. Then I would closely monitor your account to see if they try charging your account without authorization.

one day i set up "easy pay" where they take your bill out of your bank account.... three days after my bill was due i got a txt saying i still owed the full amount of my bill.... i check my bank statements online... they took two full 170 dollar payments out.....
so of course i didnt have 340 bucks only enough to cover the single bill and a few extra bucks....
they over drew my account by 170 dollars and then refused to give me it back... needless to say after *****ing and talking to 4 different supervisors they got my money put back into my account within 3 days.......
might not be the same deal with your problem but call and ask to speak to the "retention department... or customer loyalty"
they will do it within 10 days i believe and if you tell them you have bills do before that they will "escalate it"
and believe me, you'll not see that cash for a month. or at least 3 weeks. i returned my hd2 and i remember it being at least 3 weeks. probably longer.

I have had a similar incident. The only difference was in my case there was the original phone and 2 replacements. They indicated that I must pay for all three and than in 3-4 weeks I would get a reimbursement. I got with customer rentention and gave them all 3 UPS tracking numbers and had them check them while on the line with me. They admitted all three had been received. I than spoke with a supervisor and after a short discussion she agreed to credit my card for the original purchase within 3 days and they did.

but you send them to fortworth tx........if you send them back at all
I had the same problem with my first g2x. Sent it back. Went to TX. I had the same deal. May take up to 30 days after they receive the phone to have it credit back. I called and complained about that.Go figure it only took 1 day. Called on Wednesday after they had the phone 1 day. Then had the money in my account on Thursdays morning.

I got the email that they had received my return and the next day I had the credit on my account. Super fast if you ask me.
It wouldn't have mattered if you ordered online or in store. It takes more times for a refund if you pay via card.

If you're on T-Mobile and your account is in good standing and you have been a customer for 90 days or more, you can call up and ask for your unlock code. You do not need to provide a reason, and they will email it to you within 24 hours.
just call your carrier and give them the your IMEI number and they will give you the unlock code for free
I have also used HTCIMEI UNLOCK web site and literally I got my code in less than a minute. Used for sensation as well. I can uplod pics if you want me to.

It's within 14 days but usually 24 hours, just for clarification. I called a few days before leaving to Armenia last summer for T-Mobile to unlock a MyTouch 3G Slide and it literally took 14 days to get the email. Other times, I got it the next day.

If you sim unlock the phone, then you can put a sim card from any carrier worldwide and it should work.
htcimeunlock is amazingly fast and worked perfectally every time 4 me. or u can just call tmo and get it 4 free, thats what i did
As glhturbo had pointed out in another thread, cellunlock.net does it for $20/phone but with this code crackb50 you get 50% off. Worked great for my T-Mobile Sensation. Enjoy! =)
Get a buddy with a sensation "native" carrier to make the request.

No canadian carrier does this. Thanks for the input though.
OP: use MobileInCanada.com. Hands down the best service. $20 a phone, regardless of what it is, with very few exceptions.
I have a Virgin Sensation 4G on Telus now, I used this process, and I'm up and running full blast. You will not be disappointed.
Some notes in the process: Bell has a general policy to NOT SELL MOBILE PHONES TO PEOPLE WITHOUT BELL SERVICE. It's a dumb policy, but they're pretty firm about it. Luckily, their resellers are not bound to this same policy, going to T-booth, Wireless Wave, etc. any place that SELLS bell/Virgin phones but is not Bell/Virgin, you'll need to buy from. mobileincanada has been known to take as much as 4 Hrs to produce an unlock code, but it will come, and they will email you about it. they take paypal (and you can complete the transaction on a mobile device, such as an android).
Also, the phone will not have the APN for Telus, you'll have to add it. Google Telus APN, and you'll find all the relevant settings you need, or look up "using a non-telus device" on telus' webpage and they will give you basically the same settings for setting up data on a "non-telus phone".

where do you buy the code? I called T-mo, and they said they would send me an email in up to 8 days. It's currently 14 days later.

I purchased an unlocking service from ebay when I bought mine in May. Took less than a day for them to process the order and send me my unlock code. Worked like a charm. I paid $10 but just checked and the seller I bought from has lowered their price to like $4.
Here's a link to the one I bought:

Wind wants $10 for unlock code

Well, WIND are beginning to scare me. Before, when I needed my BB unlocked, it was as easy as sending them an email. Now, I need the G2x unlock code, not only I have to call them, but also to pay $10.
WTH? I'm still not that poor, but there's a matter of principle here - I have the phone, I'm paying for it since the beginning, I feel like someone is getting money for nothing. Would you pay if you were in my case?

When I signed up I was told that after 3 months WIND would supply the unlock code at no cost. I didn't want to wait 3 months so I paid for an unlock code. Here's where you can get an unlock code for 99 cents US through an Ebay seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Unlock-Code...s=63&clkid=2846801209278919181#ht_2270wt_1037
Make sure that you give the correct numbers because, if there's an error, the unlock code won't work and there's a limited number of attempts allowed before the phone is hard-locked so that it will never be able to be unlocked from WIND.
WIND's customer service totally sucks.
I believe it was one free unlock every three months and some people on howardforums says it's 6.

One free unlock every three months for only one customer. Typical for WIND.
Does it say that as a rule somewhere on some document somewhere?

how to unlock sim network on at&t skyrocket ???

???
You'll need an unlock code, which you'll need to purchase. There are a bunch of reliable sites, I got mine from www.cellunlocker.net
there is no way we can do it for free ???
No one here has posted a mod or script to do it for free, and the question has come up many times. But I'm sure it's possible and maybe no one's really tried hard enough.
It's my understanding that if you live in the US and have AT&T you can get a free unlock code from them, but a lot of users have reported that they give you a hard time before they give it to you.
I'm just mentioning this because maybe it's the reason that there hasn't been a high demand here for a sim unlock mod.
Please lost back here if you do find a free way.

Is there a similar unlock method like the HTC One S where the secret is hidden in the root?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693491
I remember reading about a hex edit for the cappy. Maybe someone who is interested could look it up and see how different our nv_data is and see if the same principal applies. I might take the task on when I decide to reactivate it on a new carrier.
No free method.
You could try Kachmann ...check this post.

Tell them you are moving to Canada for 6 months, and want to use it with Rogers.
I just got off the chat with AT&T They said they can not unlock my phone because I am in contract. I told them I bought it out right, then they wanted proof of purchase. I yelled at them a little then they said I would have to call samsung to get the code. The reason for that is a updated policy.

I just got off the line with AT&T and they told me that codes are not available at all for the Skyrocket. Some line about Samsung being under agreement with AT&T and they haven't released the codes to AT&T yet. I smell the distinct aroma of bovine fecal matter on that one...
I think I will be calling them back soon and yelling at them a little bit.... It's amazing how often that seems to work when you're calling customer support and they're being belligerent....
EDIT: Well, got back on the line with them, and now they want my receipt. I bought the phone a year ago. If I have the receipt, there is no telling where it would be. A whole lot of run around.
I spent a week trying to unlock my skyrocket for free, gave up walked into a flea market, walked out 15 minutes later and $25 lighter.
Yes, you can unlock it for free through AT&T. I was able to do it. It is a pain, but it will work. You need to use the online help, ask for a supervisor, and ask for a "OKCQSubsidyUnlock" case to be opened.

I tried to get a code from AT&T and they would have given it to me but said it wasn't available for SR. I have heard that though that if you push hard enough they will give it to you. I don't know. I use Straight Talk now and I absolutely LOVE it. You can get an ATT sim card from them and you don't need to unlock. I have tried several pre-paid networks and they have been by far the best.
I agree, I've had straight talk for over a year using my Nokia SIM and this is my third android phone using the work around. No problems what so ever. Just plop in my e-71 SIM and put in the new apn and I'm good to go. I've never had to unlock any phone.
