Sorry I'm new to posting on here so sorry if I ask a noob question.
Is anybody having any problem with changing themes or dock backgrounds in adw launcher ex?
Whenever I enter the "theme preferences" adw crashes. I've sent in a number of reports and error logs but have got no response I've even emailed the developer asking but got no response.
I'm using LG O2x with cm7 running
Any help or advice would be most appreciated. Thanks

Try uninstall and re install or clear cache. Just an idea. For me never had a problem but then I use tiad8 builds from tiad8. Com

I have read this before in another thread. Are you familiar with adb? you should be able to pull it off the phone. But be sure to have adwex installed first. Or you'll have fun trying to launch something! not sure but deleting it with a root explorer may work too.

I can do it with the app "uninstaller for root". I just wanna know if its gonna make everything mess up. I already installed adw ex and am using it. But I was curious if this'll work cause I don't rly need the reg adw if I have ex.

It worked. I used uninstaller for root and just applied a diff launcher for default before I did it and it took it right off.

There is no dependency here. I've been removing ADW from the update zip and replacing it with the EX version pre-flash since alpha 7.

That's great then. Cause I felt like there was no point of having the free adw version n using it when I had a paid version and wasn't using it lol.

You don't have to remove one to use another. You could have 10 installed and just pick 1 to use at any given time.
on cyanogenmod official wiki there is a page listing all the software that can be safely removed and how to remove. just go on the official wiki and search for a page named barebones

ADW-Ex UI freeze
Is anyone experiencing random frezzes on ADW Ex usage running on Samsung GSII X T989?
Does anyone know if using a certain custom launcher can affect APN ? Because im using EB Rom 2.3.5 v2.0 , morfic kernel came stock with this rom, mixer theme. If i use go launcher ex no problem at all. But if i use ics launcher and reboot then i lost my apn , i have to try hard reboot few times then apn works. With go launcher ex it doesn't matter what i do to the phone , the apn stays no matter what. Thanks in advance to whoever gives there time answering my dumb questions.

I gues i ask the wrong question. How about , is it possible for a launcher to cause issue with apn connection ? I just thought there is no interaction between this app or program , but then again im still a noob.

Again, you confirmed yourself the answer to this. You said one launcher causes problems. The other launcher doesn't. Ergo, the launcher is most likely causing your problems. The launcher interacts with everything.

I doubt it's the launcher
EB2.3.5 is CM7 based; CM7 has apn issues.
If you lose apn upon a reboot you have to hard reboot to bring it back. Hold volune up + power until the phone reboots.
Just want to thank for the info guys . Uninstall ics launcher and back to normal.

Open TW4Manager > Check for Updates and Install > choose either Latest Stable Version or Latest Cyanogenmod Version > choose where to put the launcher: /system installation > allow SU. You're all set

Yes you can. I downloaded tw4.5 on my G2x running pb 1.7 cm7. Its good

Sorry if this in the wrong section. I'm currently running emancipation a1 with the infusion kernel with the modded lib files and it's the best rom I've ran on my Infuse. I recently noticed that when I press the search button from the homescreen nothing happens. It works on the other screens as it should. Before it would bring up Google search. Anyone know of a way to fix this. It's not a huge deal, just curious.

J just flashed this rom. Last night and I'm having trouble with the market. I can't download anything due to an error I seen this before. All I had to do to fix it force close and clear data.... I did this several times and nothing. I also restarted the phone couple time and nothing. And I get that annoying Google talk notification that it's trying to connect or whatever. I don't even use that app how can I stop that and fix the market.....I flashed the 201108 something gapps...

I've been running CM7 for quite a while and it's been my daily since I am fed up with Sense and memory hogs. Been SENSEless for a while now... so I might give this one a try when I see a bit more development. I DO like the stock launcher instead of another software layer...
Just asking... would this be considered a KANG? Please enlighten me.

I have not seen this issue before, even with several re-flashes of the ROM. Go back to the recovery, wipe everything but the SD card and flash both files again. Might be your data connection. Can you specify this error or even better send us screen caps of it? Just hold power button and tap Screenshot.

I am using CM7 as a base and have left a large portion of its features in it, so for right now, maybe, but it shouldn't be in the future.

For the market errors, try going into language and keyboard, select any other English language. Open market then close the market. Go back into language and select united states English again. This was recommended and it worked for me. Also, adding an additional Gmail account was recommended as well. Good luck.

There is really only one GB AOSP rom other than CM that can't be considered a kang in one way or another. That's SalvageMod. Really there is no shame in the kang, so long as the dev gives proper creds. (Which he did) I have a couple here in dev section myself.
