Android and AES wifi encryption - General Topics

Has anyone ever been able to connect to AES encrypted n-wifi networks? The only way I get my phone to connect is using TKIP (and thus, no n-wifi)

Attempt to connect to WPA2 network hangs phone

When I try to connect to one particular WiFi network that has WPA2 encryption with AES key, with 802.1x access control using PEAP, my S710 hangs. I then have to restart the phone by removing the battery.
I don't have any problems connecting to :
- a WPA-PSK with AES key
- WEP, with 802.1x access control and PEAP
I've tried everything I can think of but I've not found a solution yet. Can someone help?
Thanks.
bump, having the same exact problem here.
Nobody seems to have a solution. I think I'll just have to contact the after-sales service and be without a phone for a while. Sucks!

Tethering via Wifi and Encryption

I have the tethering working fine. However, I am concerned about having an open connection (even with mac filtering enabled). My question is this. The connection between the computer and the g1 is an ad-hoc network. The g1 supports wpa and wep so why can't the tethered connection use encryption?

[Q] Is there a way to configure Nexus S as hot spot using WPA encryption (not WPA2)?

I want to operate the Nexus S as a Wi-Fi hot spot using WPA encryption. However, when configuring the hot spot settings, the onlyest encryption option (other than OPEN) I currently have is WPA2. According to the Wi-Fi certification (attached), Nexus S is capable of WPA. How do I access that encryption option in hot spot configuration?
That WPA capability is to connect to a WPA encrypyted site, not make a hotspot with WPA.

Thanks for the response!

[Q] Wifi AES on Andriod 5.1

Network Setup
2 Access points connected
first access point uses WPA2 AES
second uses WPA TKIP
Devices connects to second no problem
On 5.1 Lolipop, device refuses to connect to the first access point, drops connection every few seconds.
On 4.4.4 Kitkat, both access points fuction flawlessly
Seen work around to flash kitkat and OTA all the way to 5.1, done so, but still refuses to connect to AES network and i cant change the first access point to use TKIP.
Any ideas to fix AES wifi connections?
