You shouldn't need more than that, but I'm sure you wanna try for some reason, you need a kernel Dev to make one with more frequencies.

thanks i dont know how to do that

on the inspire with cynnogenmod7 you can get up to 1.8 is there a rom out for the 3d

It's not the ROM, it's the kernel that contains the frequency table, a Kernel Dev for the Evo3D needs to add higher frequencies. The Inspire/Desire HD now have up to 2.0GHz. But that is not a safe level due to the voltage..

This is like beating a horse, but I can't seem to find a straight up answer. Do these work on our Heroes for the purpose of setting our CPU at 245 Mhz or 528 Mhz when the screen is off or on? And what does our phone run at otherwise?

Right now this does not work. If I'm not mistaken we need to change the kernel to be set for user space. Right now the kernel takes care of throttling the CPU. It's not a tough change. Nobody has released a kernel that does it yet.
check out the thread i started just a second ago, my phone is getting stuck at 245mhz untill i hit refresh in Setcpu for some reason...

Gbhil has his own kernel on androidcentral that enables setpcu. Check it out. I'd link it but I'm on my phone right now. Its in his Gumbo thread.

You shouldn't be able to brick it with a kernel flash *key is shouldn't* you would still be able to boot into recovery and reflash the old or nandroid.

Thanks, guys.
If I have any problems, do you guys think you could help me through it? I rooted, flashed ROMs, and a few other tweaks to my Hero, but this seems like more advance stuff.
NM Apparently, I can flash it.

oc kernel for cyanogen 5.0.8?

i was wondering if there was an OC kernel up to 710MHz for cyanogenmod 5.0.8
all i found as now was a 576 MHz which i find very useless, you can't really see any performance boost...

You won't see any performance boost with a 710 either.

That one is actually a downgrade from 5.0.8 unless your still running an old test build. try here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=698578

are there any custom kernals that dont break wifi to over clock

im trying to find custom kernals for overclocking , just to play with it and see how high i can get my cell before its unstable... but the only one i ound kills wifi...

Samesies. Been running around 1.4 and with wifi almost all day without issue.
ya i just got the 1.5ghz kernal, wifi is working again
I'm on wifi right now with adrynalyne's latest kernel (1.9). It's in Rom Manager.

His kernal is not overclocked. if your referring to the 1024 you see, that is exactly what 1ghz is expressed as. He hasn't overclocked his kernals yet...

His kernels in Rom Manager haven't been overclocked but he does have overclocked kernels. The one that comes with the rom DAS_BAMF is overclocked to 1.2 ghz.

[Q] (Q)How to overclock.

Hello world. I'm running faux 004 but when I try to mess with my CPU limits with SetCpu etc. It only goes up to 1.51. What do I have to do to make higher speeds available?

try system tuner to overclock your processor...it works with faux 004 (also if you want performance change the governer to ondemand. its possible with system tuner too)

Each kernel has a range of frequencies built in, check the specification before you flash to get the range you want. All of the CPU management apps can only work within the ranges defined in the kernel.

Try the new Bricked kernel. You can easily set the maximum and minimum frequencies simply by renaming the ZIP file. Use Recovery to flash. Setting CPU frequencies was never that easy!
I would say try bricked (like aayush mentioned). As he said, you can change the clock speeds by renaming the zip file (up to 1,944 Ghz, but only if your phone can handle it, so I would suggest that you first use "System Tuner" to test how high you can go with oc).
try searching for a kernel that supports hiigher clock rate
for example when flashing arhd it asks you about the kernel you want and not sure wich one can go to 1.7ghz or more

I agree...with bricked kernel, you can set CPU min/max....
I tried Bricked at 1.83 and works like a charm. Tried at 1.99 but after a minute or so my phone rebooted so I'm back to the more stable 1.83 and the battery is amazing!

Can i OC phone to 1400MHz?

On LG l3 II (have the samy cpu) i can overclock it to 1400. Can i OC htc pico to 1400MHz?? It's posibble?
Ps: I know i can burn my nand but this is only question.
it wld nt only burn ur nand..also ur phone will b burnt..
check this video out dude i think its possible

try your luck with pandora extreme kernel..it supports overclock upto 900mhz..& I think cranium kernel 1.3ghz overclock is fake(no offense to the developer) because it gives lower benchmark as compared to pll2 overclock kernels.
Try it
You can try it one last time... (I think)
Now i Oc my phone to 844MHz. It's possible to OC the phone up to 1300MHz? My phone don't will burn?

you can use cranium kernel with jaggyrom, it'll work but the performance won't be as good as you're getting now because this is pll2 true overclock you are using now..you're lucky you got your pico working stable @844mhz, mine can't go above 767mhz.
I think its not possible ,i checked the specification of MSM 7225A chipsets, the maximum cpu clock frequency for them is 800 Mhz (official) u can overclock them a bit but 1400 Mhz is too high ....

little pico
Look at the LG l3 II. This phone have the same CPU and have 1GHz. On this phone you can overclock up to 1400MHz.
Ok i don't will test I have SDHC class 4 but i can OC up to 844MHz strange
I have next question(i didn't want doing spam) My phone is increasingly slowly. I think its NAND. I OC my ophone only one of week (on one hour) and normally working at 600 MHz. What i can do?
Ok. I have aries kernel with one partion and this laggy. Now i shearch kernel for CM10.1. I have only one partion made in recovery and this kernel must overclock pll2

use two external partitions for pll2 overclocking..why can't you follow developer's instruction?
i can't do it.
