Swype Lite

Okay, first off, this is based off the new Swype Trial Release from the TMobile MyTouch 3G.
I removed everything but the English QWERTY boards, and optimized all the PNGs to be half the size but similar quality.
Good news? The APK went from 5584 KB to 1281 KB. <

Something without blue that kills it.
I would like one that resembles the stock hero keyboard from sense ui. While it is not the best keyboard i have ever used i still like the look of it.
That or maybe just something that flows with our sense UI a little better the skin now looks like it doesn't belong on our phones

wow lol you know your wireless connection is bad when it takes 45 seconds to a minute to download a 1.2mb apk. Stupid UMiami wireless has been weird lately

This version is more stable than the other one which kept FCing whenever I would hold down a key. Great job.

I had to remove the old Swipe via the Manage Applications settings, but it finally installed and works like a charm.

Lol, I was just about to post that you MUST un-install any previous versions of Swype first.
As for skinning, I made some for Fingerkeyboard back when I was into WM. You are more than welcome to use anything from those if you want.
I was going to try to skin Swype but I honestly don't have time (and my wife is ready to shoot me for the amount of time I spend on here as it is).

Removing the blue already makes it look better.
The pic you posted above with colors close to what we have now was nice as well.

UPDATE:
Until we figure this issue out.....(It works Just the same regardless)
THIS IS HOW YOU FLASH THIS ROM:
1)Flash it WITHOUT WIPING, over your most recent damage, nandroided damage,or a damage based rom.
2)Now just set it up and make a new nandroid and you wont have to do that again.
Thats It....it works the exact same way. but even after i get everything working proper, if you follow these steps you wont have to do anything further, unless you really want to wipe all your stuff and reinstall everything, that will be your choice but it WILL not necessary
Sorry this took so long but i cannot fix this issue myself yet, if anyone can help PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE pm me I put some hard work into this one and i really need it to work properly, i had this issue once before and i just swapped out another update script and my problem disappeared, so im pretty sure thats what the problem is here, but i dont want every one to have to keep waiting if the way to get it is basically easier(by easier i mean you dont even have to wipe before flashing it)than it is to flash a new rom
I was practicing putting together an update zip theme for the new thread nebenezer started and I just ended up with this rom because mods are easier for me to make. I am working on a BlackThearmo edition for this rom as well. It will be in update.zip form. Thearmo did not help me(so please do not insult him if you hate it,that would be MY fault) I altered some of his Thearmo theme i thought was really clean and finished looking, and then added it along with a few other goodies to my favorite rom. If you are coming from a Damage just flash over, if you have problems....you know the drill.

Yeah,Yeah, i know its a buttload of red(its my favorite color) so if you dont like red, and you flash it please dont complain about the RED. Also, if you have any complaints or negative comments, jot them down on a piece of paper, get an envelope with your addy on it,put the paper in the envelope, and mail it to yourself.

Looks pretty cool! You should use the clear taskbar icons that I made so u don't have the square color deviations in the taskbar. You can download them in zip format from the bottom of my thread. Also, not sure if you based it off my newest theme, but I uploaded a new version yesterday that already includes the clear taskbar icons. Hope that helps! Great work and God bless!

Thanks A Ton, I learned ALOT last nite doing this. Your theme was awesome, but i feel lazy if i use some one elses work that i can do myself, but thanks,your theme and the old 2.01 lockscreen are what inspired this rom.....

I saw damages newest release yesturday, so i put this little mod together for myself so i could check it out. I can never just flash the plain rom anymore, w/o modding it first, so when im done i just take out the paid apps and then ul for others that may like it. pps were asking me for a green mod so this is what i did. Its damage, just skinned with a new rosie,htc weather clock,themed lockbar,status bar header,status bar bottom, and changed font to comfortaa. I also fixed my EVO modded main nav scroller.Make sure you check out the new suped up dconfig ui. its sharp.

I'd love to try this out but unfortunately I can't seem to do download it on any of the mobile browsers I've got. I keep downloading a really small .dat file. Can anyone upload it somewhere else? It would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, i can do that, i used to hate the factory rosie but now i love it because i can do SO many things to it. To a mod freak like me, thats where its @. The other rosie is pretty basic. I like to replace it using my own shapes, but if you want it what color? my buddy drew wants it too. Colors are pretty limited to Black or a type of green between dark green and neon green. Lemme know. Glad you like it.

The easiest way to do that and the way i do, is to get ur setup perfect, then nandroid. Verify the nandroid. WIPE. Flash the new rom. Set it up to ur liking. Nandroid. REPEAT(this requires some space on sd and hd to backup).I wish it was that easy. If i could whip them up id have every color When i have some inspiration, ill be working on a blue next, if i have time maybe ill try and spit out two themes @ once. pm you when its/they are finished.
Like i explained in ops, i setup the whole rom so you get everything working the way its supposed to. Easier on everyone. If you dont like my work, just nandroid.You wont need it any time soon though

You can get it but on phone it is rather difficult to dl a 180mb file w/o corrupting the dl by slow data transfer speeds & combo of what type of sd you have it saving to. I can gurantee it works from pc and that is your best bet. I cant count the roms ive dl'd but never once have i dl'd with phone directly. I actually assume it would not complete and just waste my time. Sorry about that. If i knew another way id gladly share. If you have any other issues ill try my best to get you up and running.

Download and rename to .zip.
You can then open it with 7zip or winrar and peek inside.

[REQUEST] Blue Theme - Details inside

Sorry guys, I couldn't come up with a catchy title.
Anyway, what I am looking for is basically the stock rom, but instead of red presets etc...I would like them blue. Not like the Gala X theme, but Royal (ish) blue? Nothing crazy, just anywhere there is red, change it to blue. Can anyone help me with this?

A darker blue is on my to do list... im a bit overwhelmed at the min though...

Even with everything I have on my plate, im really getting motivated for this blue idea. I might start on it today, if possible. Send me a pm of all the detail your looking for, status bar, drop down menu, home icons or LP, everything you can think of. run around to different themes and tell me all your likes and dislikes. The more I have to work on the quicker i can pop it out. The droid does swype will be included with dark blue,

I love this theme! Great work again Bill. Here's a screenshot of it in action(with a different wp). I would like to request a different look for the vibrate/silent icon, it looks out of place.

Not trying to be ocd or anything, but I noticed on the clock/weather widget the top of some letters for day/month are cut off. Not a big deal to me, just thought you should know. Thanks again for your great work.

That one I did catch, but I like the look of the clock with the larger panels more than I do the day and month. On another note, after tip toeing through the theme, several things caught my eye that I thought could be better..so, putting something new out in just a little bit..sometimEd you have to step away from it..after looking at thousands of graphics, you trend to miss things.

Okay gang, made a few adjustments to the theme, so the OP link has been updated with the new version. The only changes were cosmetic. I fixed a few things and decided that I had used the same buttons on the last 2 themes, so I changed them and the pop up windows a bit. And, reluctantly, adjusted the clock panels. A few other minor things were altered as well. Anyhoo, I hope you like it. And thank you.

Quiet today..can I assume that everything is working well, and everyone is happy with the theme?

Everything's working perfect for me. Its my favorite do far. Thanks for all the hard work.

Here are a few test splash screens - let me know if you like these or want something different.

To use these splash screens:
1.) download to root of your sd card,
2.) change name to "PC36IMG" (without the quotes),
3.) boot into boot loader (turn off, volume down + power)
4.) The phone should recognize the zip and ask if you want to update
5.) select up to apply.​

Is anyone else having issues with the notification pull down? Mine will not work most of the time. It was fine for the first day, then it just stopped working. I also had a few twitches where the clock app would open up as if I touched the widget, the phone screen had not been touched for several minutes before it happened. I currently run OTA rls5 w/chopsuey, a2sd and at that time V6. I have rebooted, without luck, then used GW's wipeall, reflashed fresh downloads of rls5/chopsuey/a2sd and American Metal. Still can't pull down the notification bar. I can access by using menu/notifications, but that's it. I have not added any apps or changed anything since flashing this theme, and came from using CIWYW.

Wow...no I've never had that issue...but I will flash back to stock and try to recreate it to see if I can find the issue. Sorry that's happening to you.

Don't be sorry, I still love this theme. The best way I can explain it is, its like the touchscreen feature doesn't work, but only in the notification bar, the rest of my homescreen works fine. Thanks for looking into it, like I said, it didn't start right away, took about 24 hours for first problem to show up. Not even sure its the theme, that's why I reflashed everything just in case.
