There are very clear instructions in the development forums for every rom that is available for our phones. Please read them.

Hey guys, shoild i use voodoo lagfix
And how to install only the lagfix NOT with thw kernel
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
voodoo lagfix will convert your file system to ext4 and make your phone faster. It is built into the kernel though, so there is no way to install it without installing the custom kernel that includes it.
Not sure what you mean by thw kernel, but most custom kernels that include voodoo lagfix also include cwm recovery.
So what's the risk of flashing a kernel

Can i flash a kernel with cwm5 and lagfix with this app? Like this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21487855

Aslong as you are on Gingerbread, you can use Kernel flasher to flash that kernel. That would be the recommend kernel, if not the only one really.
tnx bros
Hey Jules... I noticed the four threads you have started all seem to be questions and you are starting the threads in the general section. I want to give you the heads up there is a Q&A section for you to post in... in case you are unaware.

Though this thread is not about all AOSP ROM's, it does mention Cyanogen Mod. Thank you for that. However, I would be happy with any AOSP ROM.
(except the fake "AOSP Style" ROM)
There is no such thing yet.
There is CM7 in development :

but I wouldn't recommend it if you're not an advanced user who knows what he's doing.

Any general (ballpark even) time frame for when this will be done?
When its done
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
Just a heads up - people on here HATE to see that question. I recommend you be grateful for what we do have and patient for what is being worked on. Don't ask for timeframes.
So I can't find anything regarding how to OC with the cm9.1 stable on either xda nor anywhere else. Does anyone know or recommend any particular programs to get me moving faster ; if ya know what I mean. Any help would be appreciated.( can't stand the keyboard lag of only 1.5)

Hey guys.
There are various jb/ics roms available for our galaxy sl in the android development section. It's really very confusing to choose one among them. I've tried jellybam and slimbean but both had several issues to work on. Please post your individual roms that you people use smoothly on your sl and have less issues and bugs. This'll be convenient for all other users to know about performances of several roms rather than having to download and install a rom and remove it if it has various bugs and go back to a stock rom again.
So, leave the names of your favorite roms (and links to thread if possible).
ONLT ICS/JB
Enjoy
