Because honestly, the development sucks on this phone. Also, it appears any kind of development for this has been abandoned....I just can't keep a phone that I cannot modify..and yes, I am too busy/ignorant to learn the development on my own..

I agree with you that's why I got me the Nexus S 4G and dump T-Mobile and their bull mofos where giving me edge every 2 weeks since I got the SGS4G ... and never gave me my mail in rebate ... also they give more promotion power to crap phones like that Nokia. I think if I saw 1 ad for this phone it was a miracle ... but that's my beef with T-Mobile ... back to the phone I think it could have been great. But I'll again compare it to the Sega Dreamcast bad ass died young ...

lmao freedom of speech? By all means. We are just trying to have hope and what not for our phones. =)

Like mentioned already I would look at craigslist to sell the phone. Hit me up on twitter and let me know if its still for sale i will tweet it for you and see if there are any takers.
Everyone else, We are still just really waiting on some final mods within the CWM. Once that is all figured out then ROM's will come out.

There is no eta. There is a project underway being led by Krylon360 so I have no doubt it will be available eventually.
I don't mean to be a d*ck but it is considered bad form to ask for etas from independent development. They mostly do this stuff out of love for the work usually in their spare time. If they have an eta for a project they will post it with updates. If they don't, that means there isn't one. Fyi.

Cm is no safer than any other rom in development stages. And yes, it is bad form to ask how long for anything. You need to understand that we devs and modders do this from the kindness of our hearts and for experience. This is the kind of question that pisses a dev off.

The EVO 3D is a piece of **** and can suck balls. Only phone I would consider outside of my Epic is the Samsung Within and even then I will still keep my Epic

I wanted to say thank you so much to all the wonderful devs here for all of their efforts making the Captivate a better phone than Samsung could. Please don't flame me, this isn't a knock on the Captivate, I loved the device even with it's flaws. I will miss the Captivate forum, yesterday I jumped to T-Mobile, better rates and they have dual core phones. I got an HTC Sensation and I love it.I will miss my Cappy but I couldn't deal with Samsung's shortfalls any longer, I want a device that works as it should out of the box. I also would like timely updates which AT&T proved they suck at providing. Happy flashing to all and thanks for the wonderful support provided by the community.

You can't blame the hardware for crappy made software from the service provider or user error from bricking. I have never done anything that I couldn't fix and that wasn't my fault...
The fact that you CAN make it better by flashing new software proves that the hardware is adequate. The only thing you could perhaps complain about is gps but if you're that dependent on it maybe you should take some time learning your way around...

I recently cracked my screen, and have decided that I will probably be picking up the sgs3 when it comes out. I was wanting to get some input about who I could donate my Infuse to. I have enjoyed all the different roms and ports that our devs have put together here, but I don't have a huge amount of excess money to donate. This is the best that I can do.
Let me know if anyone knows a dev that would like a phone to use for development. I want to make sure that it is put to good use.

Bigfau has done a hell of a lot for the infuse and i don't think he has gotten enough credit for it like he deserves. I don't care if this pisses anyone off but he is the best dev we have had on the infuse hands down. He is extremely respectful to all of us little people and to me that shows something about who he is as a person. Give it to him, he deserves it. If you give it to anyone else, they need to turn around and send it to him.

Sorry guys! Haven't been keeping up as well as I would like. It sounds like it's pretty much unanimous that bigfau is the man. I will definitely be sending it to bigfau just as soon as I get a replacement. I suspect it will be early to mid-june. Thanks for all the input, and I will contact you about s/h bigjoe.
