[Q] T-Mobile Billing option not showing up in Market - HTC Sensation

OK. So when I first got my Sensation, I had the option to bill to my T-Mobile account. Even if it wasn't available on an app, it was grayed out.
Now, I got the Revolutionary S-off and Rooted my phone. Tried some different ROM options. Did not like.
Went back to a stock T-mobile Sensation ROM using RUU. S-Off and Rooted still. But, waiting for Cyanogenmod down the road, while enjoying the other benefits of having a rooted phone.
After all is said and done -- Stock ROM back in place, S-off back in place, and all that good stuff -- my option for billing to T-mobile no longer shows up.
Anything I am not doing right or need to do? Am I missing something?

i need t a tutorial im android stupid i need details
i really need bulletproof cause now my htc mt4gs is freezing and overheating and have to constantly remove the battery
you can flash roms if your already unlocked.....s off and root are two different things.you can root with mr root then flash a rom through cwm. however there is one more step to flashing a rom which is flashing the kernel. which you can find out in how to flash roms s on unlocked in development
I told you exactly how to do it in the last thread you made. Upgrade to the newest OTA, unlock using the HTC Dev tool, flash CWM, then flash the superuser .zip through CWM. There you go, now you have a rooted phone that is still S-ON Unlocked.
The only real benefit to doing S-OFF is the ability to flash kernels without being connected to a PC.
You couldn't even post in your old thread huh?
Sorry, but this question does not deserve a shiny new thread

It's in dev. If you can't find it, then it may not be wise to root your device.

[Q] leaked ICS on i727 always a bad thing?

I have an i727 with SKY ICS. Details below.
I am not hardcore with this thing, so I am not sure if my ROM is dangerous for the phone. I will say that last night, the battery died and when it did, I could not reboot it after charging. I had to use CWM to flash a saved image from about a month ago (I should be backing up more often).
I found this post, which I THINK says that all the i727 leaks are dangerous. Can any of you confirm that for me (he explicitly says ALL for other phones, but not for the i727).
If it's bad, can anyone suggest the best path for me here? Do I need to use Odin to flash a an older CWM to put the old image back on there? Where can i get a stock image? I see some info that ICS is out this month for it officially, but a lot of sub-posts calling those people idiots.
Thanks!

[Q] Newbie requesting help with Desire S 'no service' issue please?

Hi there,
I was recently given a htc desire S so i could work on android app development some more, but for some reason its stuck on no service/emergency calls only.
In searching google i landed back at xda developers after some years (used to have many xda's/htc phones), and discovered the "rcmix3d runny s v2.1" rom, but as i've not installed the custom rom myself, i don't really know much.
I'm very new to android and was hoping someone could help me to resolve the issue?
What i know is the following info about the phone, what i don't know is the original network provider;
---------------------------------------
Desire S S510e
Android Version: 2.3.5
HTC Sense version: 3.5
Software Number: RCMix3D Runny S v2.1 [proxuser]
Kernel version:
2.6.35.10-g71db9d1

Build:

Browser:
Webkit/533.1
---------------------------------------
I'm not sure of some of the technical states, though i do know the phone is rooted as the Root Check Basic app reported this.
I guess ideally i'd like to just restore to a working android rom - i think the factory version was 2.35 Gingerbread, however, i don't know (1) what network the phone was originally on, or (2) whether the current state might prevent or cause problems in trying to restore an alternative rom.
Note that when i was given the phone i used an online service to provide me with an unlock code which i think was successful, though i've not been able to test.
I'd be real grateful if anyone could provide some guidance or pointers with getting the phone working! - At present it works perfectly outside of being able to make calls.
If there's anything further i can provide, please let me know!
Thanks very much,
Ant.
Just wondering if the phone is locked to one carrier while your SIM is from a different carrier.
Hey BillGoss,
When i was given the handset, i used an online service to provide an unlock code.
I entered this and i believe the hendset is now unlocked to all networks - I have tried tmobile, voda, o2 and orange sims, but all show 'no service'.
I'm pretty sure the unlock code worked, because prior to entering this, certain network's sim cards would result in a message asking me for the unlock code - since entering the code this doesn't show.
Though i'm not sure as i don't know too much on the android side, i think this could be a baseband issue... Just don't have a clue how to go about changing this or identifying the real problem.
thanks for your reply/suggestion though, appreciated.
Anyone else have any ideas? - thanks!

[Q] Root for AT&T HTC One X

Hello All, I have been looking for a way to root my AT&T HTC One X, but I am getting conflicting information. The reason I would like to root the phone is to enable tethering and remove the bloatware. The phone is sim unlocked and I am using it on a carrier that has free tethering/Hotspot unfortunately there is some sort of lock by AT&T that is preventing me from tethering or using my phone as a hotspot even though I am using a non AT&T sim card. Some information I have seen in threads are that the bootloader has to be unlocked before rooting, some said it doesn't have to be. Anyways here is the specs of the phone I have. Maybe someone has a solution that I can use...

Yes you would need to root your phone and unlock your bootloader to be able to remove bloatware/tether. To root your phone and unlock is very easy. If you like using HTC Sense roms I don't remember if they have tethering enabled. I am currently using the CM 10.2 rom and it has wifi hotspot and tethering capabilities. It's lightweight and free of bloat. All the answers should be easy to find in the stickies.
You need to post your hboot information, the Android information is irrelevant to unlocking/rooting. To get into hboot do this:
Power off phone completely.
Hold volume down and then hold power, so you're holding them together.
Let go of power after a few seconds, but keep holding volume down until it reaches the white screen with text.
This is your bootloader. Please post the first five lines you see at the top of the screen.
You can use tethering on Sense ROMs, as long as they're not at&t based.
PS. Questions go in the q&a section, I'll ask for this to be moved for you.

Thanks for the heads up I will post the missing information

[Q] Need verification...lots

GOod night. My main issue is the sheer number of ppl with the HTC OneXL in this forum. Lot of posts i see say 'sent from my HTC OneXL'..i read something on this very site telling me that when downloading ROMs or anything really for a device, make sure you get the correct files. This forum contains info on the AT&t and ROgers HTC OneX annddd the Telstra OneXL..the only real ROMs i am interested in would be the latest KitKat update from AT&T, CyanogenMod11 and MIUI. Ive got the necessary info on my device here. Ive already unlocked my bootloader, rooted, SuperCID. Root fully working with TWRP recovery. Still on the stock ROM. Im from the Virgin Islands, and with my HTC devices in the past as well as the Galaxy S4s, CyanogenMod ROMS always seemed to provide slightly worse WiFi performance in terms of distance. Also was a fan of CM from the Inspire4G due to its Torch app with its dual LEDs, utterly unchallenged on high-brightness, lol. Anyways, here are the specs on my current HTC OneX from AT&T:
Android vers. 4.0.4

My questions basically are:
is there a CM11 ROM for the AT&T OneX?
yet possible to download the latest OTA for KitKat for the AT&T OneX?
Does my phone NEED to be updated to the 3.18RUU for either the official KitKAt from AT&T, MIUI or CM11 ROMS to function?
Thanks so much.
The att HTC one x and the HTC one XL are the exact same phones. Everything you find here will work on your phone

And yes, you have to run the 3.18 ruu, unlock your bootloader, achieve s-off, install a custom recovery, and install the Roms that you want.

my bootloader is already unlocked, s-off with TWRP installed. does this mean i can just run the RUU?

All the answers to your questions are in that link I posted.
Yes you will have a stock recovery after the RUU. You will need to flash TWRP or CWM recovery in fastboot mode (bootloader mode) after running the RUU.
You will need to enter your recovery after you flash it and flash SuperSU (or equivalent) to root the Rom.
Your phone will remain unlocked, SuperCID, and S-Off after running the RUU.
As for the toolkit, you can do these things without it. A tool kit at this point is a crutch. You a far enough along now that you should understand how these things work. (OK. off soapbox now.)
Read through the link I posted. I detailed all the info you need to be successful. Good luck.
Agreed. Forget the toolbox, it's a crutch and is totally unnecessary. If you need instruction on flashing a recovery, installing a ROM, among other things, have a look at my How-To Guide For Beginners thread in my signature. You should also read the Evita FAQ thread in my signature.

Any of the radios in the radio thread are okay to flash on the EVITA. The Google map may be a good start, but only trial and error will tell you for sure which one is the best for you.
Any ROM but the stock AT&T ROM will let you turn off LTE in Settings. This is what I would recommend. What radio you use has no bearing on turning off LTE, if that is what you are asking.
