Maybe it's being caused by a conlict with an app or something else you did when restoring. Did you restore just from the marketplace or did you restore apps and data from Titanium Backup? If you did the latter, it could be some data that is causing your camera to act up.

Hey,
Anyone have this problem? Running TB Pro on Inc 2 CM7. No matter what it always says the apps have modified data, even if I just ran a full backup. Ideas? Anyone else run into this?

Hi guys. I am new to rooting, and finally took the plunge and rooted my LG Thrill. the main reason I rooted was to get hotspot access as well as freeze bloatware. I doubt I will ever use a custom rom.
With that said, after rooting with Megatron, I used Titanium backup to backup apps and to freeze a few.
My question is this: I have a short list at the bottom of my apps (8) that are striked out. The list is below.
1) What are these?
2) Can I remove them under REMOVE ORPHAN DATA without any ill effects?
3) Are these parts of frozen apps?
I haven't been able to find much info on these.

com.lge.charging_test
com.lge.external_memory_test
com.lge.fluidmedia

I truly appreciate all the help I have received from this forum...although I haven't posted much, I have read quite a bit and all of your posts have helped me immensely.
Thanks again!
The ones with the lines through them are just apps that have been backed up but are not on your phone anymore or are frozen

That's where u am confused. these were immediately there. Right after root, I installed Titanium Backup and those showed up strikes. I didn't make changes that I know of.

Not sure what you mean? This is the only phone I have rooted and used Titanium with.
I would like to use the function to "Remove Orphan Data", but don't want to mess anything up.
It shows them as No backup yet...but doesn't seem to be a way to back them up...probably because it thinks these were old apps.
Can suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated!

I don't see how they could be things that are not on the phone anymore as I did the backup, then froze a couple of apps and haven't removed anything.
You mention that these could be from frozen apps too...so if there was something that couldn't get backed up, then I froze it, these could be from those frozen programs?
So in practice, if I were to unfreeze my apps, I should see those strikes removed????
Yes

Interesting solution. I had the same problem. I chose to purchase the Pro key, instead, and never look back. Hands-off restore makes it all worth it, IMO.

Me too - though it seems intermittent. That being said I've been able to get it happy long enough to restore stuff when I need to, but it can be a process.
I just keep relaunching it and it eventually works... I have pro as well

It's an intermittent issue for me as well, reinstalling got it to work for me, have found if you free up as much ram as possible it helps.

yeah, was going to mention that.... TiBu has really made my restoring a total PITA!
Talk about Titanium doing something weird, after I updated to Tweaked 3.0 I got Titanium from the market and as soon as I installed it all my apps were restored in just a few seconds. I didn't do anything. It did it by itself. I looked and all of my apps were back already.
I had Tweaked 2.2 before. I guess I didn't wipe data before I upgraded.

Oops, I guess I had a senior moment. Old Timers Disease is setting in. Actually I odin'd back to stock EP4, took the OTA updates, odin'd CWM and flashed Superuser 3.0.7. Then I flashed the Tweaked beta. After all that Titanium did it's weirdness.
It's okay. My phone is running great.

Ok this wasn't Titanium at all. This morning I re-flashed Tweaked 3.0 beta. I had to wipe data for that. After it started up I opened Play Store and found it re-installing all my apps. Is this normal? It was convenient but really surprising.
When you set up your phone for the first time and log into your Google account it asks you if you want to restore you apps.

Well I guess I need to pay closer attention don't I. It was definitely easier than doing them myself.
It only does it if you log into your Google account during the initial account setup, and then leave it alone while it's doing its thing. If you skip setting up your Google account during initial setup and then go in and do it later, you don't get the option.
Hey everyone, I hate to be the noob but I recently backed up using titanium backup, flash a rom, didn't like it, flashed back and went to restore using titanium backup and everything went fine apart from the fact that recent messages are missing and they are very important to me, can anyone help me recover them? Thanks in advance.

TB pro? Or free version?
When u open TB does it show that there us a backup for messages on the date u backed it up?
Also if u are gonna be a flasher, may I suggest using Google voice so that no matter what u have a backup to a backup
Good luck

Yeah, the backup is from the 30 th but no messages since the 14 th are showing up? And there's no voice in my country so that is a no. Any idea why they're no showing up.?

Oh wait, phone / messaging storage is only at the 15 th, why? I backed up on the 30th? Is there any way to get my messages back? They are very important to me.

Probably not unless u had them backup'd within a ROM backup.

For future reference...always make a nandroid backup in recovery before wiping and flashing a new ROM. That way if you don't like the new ROM you just restore the nandroid. That's the only 100% way to not lose anything.
The latest update keeps giving me error 504 from the play store which I've googled and done the things suggested for the error. Wipe cache and data of play store. Remove Google account and log it back in. But still nothing so i manually downloaded from apk mirror and even that way says not installed when trying to update.
Any one have any ideas?

I don't think so because they are saved to Google server and linked to your gmail. So you will get back on signing in.
Also if you want you can backup using Tbk then reinstall and restore data only.
Hopefully that will serve your purpose. [emoji111]

Try logging into the account from a PC and click install from there. Sometimes it clears the error and triggers the update when you sync back up with your phone.

It shouldn't, the data is usually saved outside the application folder.
To be safe you can use Titanium Backup.
Seems weird because you'd think manually downloading and installing would work still

I faced the same issue again and I simply turned off the merge tabs option and it updated flawlessly.
I know it is not related and might just be a coincidence.
But worth giving it a shot.

Ok here's what i ended up doing.
Backed up app and data (ended up using ultimate backup app)
Root uninstalled. Rebooted. Re installed from the play store. It did lose saved info data. So restored data only from the backup and all is now fine.
Thanks for your help everyone!
