I thought the new market update got released last week.
I'm on a unrooted factory Sensation - still no new market here
Has anyone even gotten the new market update?

I was thinkong of doing it that way but wanted to make sure it would still be able to update to the official version when available

You can remove updates (market that you install with .apk) and then update to official when update is out for you.
I just got tired of waiting for it and downloaded the latest version for a manual install. From what I've heard, a good amount of U.S. users haven't gotten it yet...

Yeah I can't update it via the installer. How are rooted phones going to get the version included in the OTA? Anyone know?

Well if you running sense make sure you update when the dev upgrades the rom (calk, and some other already did) other then that you would have to download the rom(3.70 or above) and look for the apk and see if it works on your rom

Just wondered if there was a way in which I could force an update? I've had to revert back to stock firmware and am currently on 2.3.1. Ive tried the CHECKIN method but nothing happened. Any suggestions guys?
you can manually push the update through recovery located here:

Do look for the thread titled '2.3.3 link' though. It's rather easy to apply it manually.

Thanks guys
I have done that method before but I think it screwed up my mms hence I would rather receive it OTA just incase. Are they still pushing out the 2.3.2 update for us that are yet to receive 2.3.3?

Probably not. They would probably send you the version that goes from whatever you're on to 2.3.3 since the Android 2.3.3 URL thread has like three different versions.
The alternative is to flash a custom ROM such as CM7, Axura, GingerS, MoDaCo which features 2.3.3 (unsure about GingerS)
I still don't get the 2.3.3 OTA either. Since I had some problem when I was using N1 and tried to update it manually, I decide to wait for OTA in my NS. I am curious why it can take so long time to push out an OTA?
Two reasons: network strain and damage control in the event of Problems.
I'm waiting for the OTA to come through to my other halves new NS which we got yesterday to update from 2.3.1 to either 2.3.2 or better still 2.3.3 but, guess it ain't happening any time soon :-(

Force update in post #2 that I linked. This is the same file you would get from the OTA. All the OTA does is bring a dialog box saying its available for you and it goes to that link. The link was achieved using aLogCat. It's directly from *.google.com

Picked up my NS on saturday (so it should be running 2.3.1 right?) Anyway when I go into settings-about phone-system update it says i have latest version. I am fairly confident this is not so. So how do I force update to my NS?

Search for the thread titled '2.3.3 link' and do it manually or wait until you get it pushed down to you. There it's no way to force it OTA (over-the-air)

Supposedly the leaked version still has the vulnerability. Do you have documentation that this was fixed in the leaked version?

Just to inform those who are waiting to update officially, check now.
For others, here is the kdz if you want:

I wonder if there are any slight changes? There must have been some reason it wasn't released at the same time as the other regions.
Good news, hope this time this UK GB is a lot of improvement than the Germen...

I guess it's the same as everybody else, so I don't see the reason for such delay in UK.
So far I have not seen any build number differences in the baseband, kernel, build or date. MD5 identical.

Damn, keep getting a url not found when trying to download the LG support tool.
btw, can I do this update if I'm locked on T-mobile network? Also, will I loose data? Cheers
I wonder if this is any different to the other one and fixes the battery info problem.
I might have a go this afternoon and see
lol, managed to download the app (was work restrction),
but when installing the LG software it says it's down for maintenance. So they finally release GB and take the tool down that installs it!
It would appear that it is the same release as before the MD5 is an exact replica so no point in updating to this one if you have the other.

Is everybody having problems with the 3D games?
The one pre-installed I have to re-download them in order to play but I'm getting errors when I try to and the others that I have purchased the app says that the game is not a original copy and doesn't even let me open it.
is it just me?

http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4182 . This is a upgrade through kies for ICS. Same current baseband as we have now, but there saying it offers security improvements. Hopefully this is a small upgrade before Jelly Bean. If and when that happened we could update our blobs and most certainly run any AOSP 4.2.2 Rom.:good::fingers-crossed:

I don't see why not. The Blaze was released in March of 2012. The T989 also a Tmobile branded phone is running Jelly Bean and its older than our model. Presumably based on little differences and what nots it only makes sense for them to give the update. They are still marketing and selling the device so, yeah.(Hopefully)

Yep, shouldn't be an issue - I'll check again tonight, and like I said if no one else gets to it by the time I get my hands on it I'll post some stuff.
If I'm reading this right, the update to the new baseband is OTA if you are running non-rooted UVLH5 stock. There's nothing on samfirmware.com for this update to be available via KIES, so I would think that it's just OTA - that and it's only a 20 MB download. I'm going to go back to stock to see if this is OTA only and post my findings...

My interpretation of the T-Mobile info was that it was either - but you are right that it's not available via KIES currently so I could be wrong lol! No OTA has been pushed to the wifes phone yet, but that doesn't mean much for others of course.
