Got myself a HTC HD2 phone can all you good people recommend what good apps to use along with the best games out at the moment
A bit of a dummy when it comes to phones so take it easy on me

I guess you found this forum by searching on net. So you could use same method on the forums too. Just a simple search would give you excellent results.

Was recommended this forum from a friend off BBS air guns he said it was a great forum where the people are very helpful and this is the place to fined all I need for my phone.
I have had a look through but it all seems gobblygook to me I just know I will end up doing something to my phone of shouldn't

Get registered at freeware pocket pc then download oMarket on your phone. It is a free app marketplace similar to WM marketplace. Also, go to hd2apps blog. Tons of apps and games (all free), best site imo. If you like to know people's recommended apps, go to TMobile HD2 forum, there are several threads there dedicated for that, just do a search. That is where newbies should go first before dabbling into XDA as in my opinion this forum is more for relatively advanced users...for tweaking and customization, a little less on apps and games.

Welcome to the HD2 world here on XDA.
I totally understand how everything can be/is confusing at first. Having the phone for a day or so and not knowing what is out there to do even a general search. Reading the posts here will give you a general knowledge of the cab files that will enhance and customize your new phone to your liking. It really isnt that hard once you start playing around a bit.
Might I suggest bookmarking this forum, and keeping an eye on it. Lots of stuff here to do to your phone. Also read though all the posts in the "post your leo today screens" thread. tons of stuff there, and everyone shares what they have.
Please do remember the search feature is your friend. New threads with the same old questions that have been posted and answered 50 times will most likely only get you a few pointed responses.
Hope you enjoy your new HD2 phone and your time here.

Bet he's got some really silly username trying to make himself sound like some crack shot hero too hasn't he? Sad. Very sad.
Don't worry mate, they're not all that unfriendly on here, as the other two posters have proved.
This place can be a bit daunting, just read lots for a few days and it'll start becoming clear, drop me an email or PM on here if you get stuck.

Have seen some pics on here where the phone has a smart looking top bar where the start and signal strength is anyone know a link to where I can find one. Have look for one but don't know what it's called

Down loaded DJC taskbar he's the man looks great ( big thanks to DJC) now sorting out to get speaker back read how to do it but was never good with institution's to put a flat pack up let alone phones

Nice one zarpy that sound spot on. Free tv? Got my player installed but if you know others I would be willing to try them to find the best.
Still finding my way round my phone waiting on my 16gb card to turn up give me more room.
If you could post some good stuff up I would be thankful.

1)Boing- a simple game you tilt the phone left or right to control your ball and try to go as far up as you can. Developed by flyingmonkey.
2)Youtube player- now you can download youtube videos and mp3 for free. No more paying for music just type in the name you want and press the youtube icon.
3)VWD- download free music,videos ,porn ,etc. All for free you need Netcompactframework3.5 cab let me know if you need it.

1)ChipperX - play 4 levels you control chipperX you can jump and move left or right with onscreen controls. Avoid the enemies and make it to the door. Your on a quest to find the mystical cape.
2)The Channeler- One of the best apps gives you free TV on your phone. All you do is register and there is no charge. Watch over 120 different channels takes a little bit to get used to but is great.

get the supporter version and register on the forum to get the right set-up files for the HD2.
It's a playstation one emulator and its really good.
There's loads of help videos on the forum to help you get it started and it's well worth the effort!
I'd also recommend getting the paid version of myPlayer... there's more uk digital live channels that work really well.

Hey livebaituk,
Have you formatted the card before using it? Try that first....
Otherwise, did you buy it from eBay?? I had the same problem with the one I got from there, did a quick test on it and it turned out to be fake!
Use the program below to test the memory card and see if that's the problem....
(you will need to have a microSD convertor to use direct with your computer, either to usb or to SD if you have a SD card reader).

First I would like to apologize for clogging up the forums lately but I am sure anyone with a faulty deice would know it can be a little hard. I am trying not to get in the way if all of you with pretty good devices. Having said that, I am pretty pedantic and I only really see the fault with the screen, I had it round my family and they say its fine . So although I like it, the novelty has worn off and I just don't think it quite suits my needs. I think I would be better off with something like a nice phone like a Gnex or an S3. So now I have to try and sell this. I was gonna try out the XDA marketplace but 6 months as a member isn't enough. So I will attempt here. 32GB Transformer Pad Infinity without the dock and I will even throw in a case for ideally about $450-$500 AUD. Now all you Americans will think that's too much, well remember we get the $100 price hike and no 32GB model out here. So I know this is a pretty stupid place to post because everyone has an infinity but I really need to get rid of it. Maybe I could make a really good friend and possibly someone could post on behalf of me. That would be really great. Anyway, I will let you guys be the judge.

Just purchased Transformer TF700

Hello everyone!
New here, been looking around, reading different things, and don't understand half of all of it. lol, sorry. I'm not familiar with all the different rooting, techniological specs of it. But I do know that this tablet is supposed to be the best on the market. I have a neighbor who is big into android and told me a lot and rooted my Gnex and I fell in love. Had an iPhone, but no where near what I could do with android.
I'm just trying to get a feel for it, and wondering what I can do to make it better, any apps or games that I need?
I got it from Best Buy, and wasn't sure how the return policy works. I know it's like 30 days, but how many exchanges?
There is a little bit of light bleed, but as far as I know, that is all that is wrong. No cracks, no wireless problems, etc.
Anything I need to look for to know if I should return it?
Jelly Bean is coming soon and I'm excited. Project butter is definitely nice.
I want to thank you all in advance for all your help. From what I've read on here, and all over the forums, you guys know your stuff.

I you pan to return it I'd perform a factory reset on it prior to returning it so no personal information is on the tablet.

I didn't want to mess her's up so I bought an Infinity for me.
Joining this board has really made an android junkie out of me.

I've been loving my tablet so far... wondering if I should root now, or wait until the Jelly Bean update? But as you've said, this forum has made me an Android junkie.
I had to show my support by purchasing their app a couple years ago. Hopefully one day I can contribute a little more to the forums, but for now I'll just read and follow instructions until I learn a little more about developing

Honestly I'd just wait for Jelly Bean, it's only a few days away. That said, i don't think just rooting will stop the OTA (from what I've read).

[Q] Transformer pad docking keyboard issues

Hello my good friends,
So I happly bought the Tf300t docking keyboard and I was loving until the last few hours </3.
I'm portuguese and , sadly, my language as lot of accents and stuff like that. Well the accents work fine app wise (ex: fb chat) and it even spell checks great right??
The problem is when I travell to my browser and enter fb or any other html/php based site, well guess what ?? That's right you guessed it, can't put accents and no spell check eighter. I get the following output when I try to use special chars in the browser: ´a ´a ˜a ˆa.
Well I don't really care for spell check but I really need to get the accents working guys!!!
Well if your english I recommend this product It's really fantastic but if you're from any other part of the World I would recommend thinking twice or even trice about this purchase.

[Q] Looking for a (cheap!) 10.1" Tablet

Hi all,
I'm hoping the combined wisdom of XDA members can help me choose a 10.1" tablet. I've already got three 7" ones, but I want something larger for reading comic books and watching the odd video.
I've been looking at this: (blast! I can't post links! It's the V100Q on Focalprice) but I can't find any info on it, other than a thousand and one other shops selling it! It looks like it'll suit me fine, and the price is great, but if there's no support for it, it might be too much of a punt.
I've also found this: (Ainol Hero 2) which is more expensive, but there's a lot of support out there for it.
I'm also a little worried about forward compatibility; I don't want to buy something today, only to find out tomorrow's update isn't supported! I read on another forum that [speculation] future Android versions will only work on quad-core devices [/speculation]. Doesn't sound right to me, but I'm not really "in the know".
So, which of the above do you guys think is best to go for? Or do you have any recommendations?
