I have found a dialer and keyboard that I like. I am running Serendipity v6.2 and would like to add the dialer and keyboard from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003379. It is a I9000 JS7/JS* theme (though I don't think that matters in this case. The dialer, I understand, can only replace the current dialer I have installed. The different dialers I have tried have been CWM, so I don't know how to extract the dialer (from the attached theme) and replace the current one. The keyboard: I have two installed a NunHugger swipe and another keyboard I like. So how, if I can, do I add a third. Once again where do I find it in the theme and how do I install it?
Thanks, Tomween1
Here's a modified version of Wysie's NubDialer app to better fit landscape views on the tab. I got tired of trying to find a dialer that fit and worked well in landscape.
It doesn't replace your stock dialer just adds a new one.
I know the icon is ugly, but you can replace it with most launchers.
I've attached the source as well, the only changes I made were to the landscape layout, and removing the 'close dialer on fling' as it's not required.
Feel free to make any adjustments you want, the original source is available here; http://code.google.com/p/nubdial/
Hey everyone,
I have a really nice dark MIUI theme running on my CM7.1 RC1 and I really like the notification icon that is displayed for the stock messaging app when i get SMS/MMS. However, i also use ChompSMS and for some strange reason, the CM7 theme doesn't display the same notification icon for ChompSMS. The stock ChompSMS icons look really bad (no offense) and almost ruin my theme. Anyway, I have the latest ChompSMS apk (5.15) and the png file of the desired notification icon. My question is, can anyone either:
1. Teach me how to customize the notification icon for ChompSMS.
2. Or at least do it for me
The first is more preferable but hey, both will do just fine.
I have uploaded both the files, hopefully i won't get any trouble beacuse ChompSMS is free!
Oh, we had almost the same issue... sorry that I solved mine with somewhat like five years later than yours.

I started playing with themes and eventually settled on asking MrDSL for permission to update his CM7 Mixer theme. None of the base work was by me and all credit for the base goes to MrDSL. Any donations should also be sent to him cause I am simply doing this for the fact of learning how. The original thread can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1017179.
I mostly wanted to update this so that it reflects MrDSL's more recent work for CM9, as well as the Decks ReLoaded ROM which has the added "Battery Bar Mod" in the settings menu.
Credits: I am simply updating an already existing theme, so all credit for what this is based on goes to MrDSL. He has been beyond helpful with answering my questions, and there have been plenty lol.
6-10-12 Update to Mixer v1.8
Changes:
Ported more stuff from Mixer ICS.
Changed status bar to solid black bar.
Change notifications pull down and some of the toggle switch icons in pulldown.
Changed Pandora widget
Fixed Amazon MP3 and Google Maps icons. (they were there but not pulling properly)
Themed parts of IheartRadio just cause I use it and the red widget didn't work with my blue phone...
Added a lot more to the QuickSearchBox app that came stock with Decks Reloaded. (This is NOT the Google Seach app)
Themed the icons for Go Contacts and Go Dialer.
Figured out how to theme the "mini battery" in the status bar for when you change to show percentage in the advanced settings.
Changed some small, unimportant things like adb debugging icon and the image used in status bar for when you set phone to vibrate.
Issues: None that I know of.

No problem. I really liked it to, and when I used his CM9/AOKP version I was yet again amazed. So I wanted to kinda bring it back to CM7.

nice!
I am a latecomer to Android 6, as KitKat has been the best for my outdated hardware, until now with the S7 (woohoo!) I've always needed to run custom ROMs because stock Android looks very boring to me. I am a big fan of everything "inverted" so that instead of black text on all white backgrounds. white text on all black backgrounds looks EXCELLET, especially on Samsung's AMOLEDs. Now with Android 6, I am quite pleased with how much I can customize the look, with function baked right in. VERY nice. (Also running Nova Launcher).
That said. I have looked through many of the themes available for Marshmallow, but one part of this OS that is driving me nuts is the ugly phone app--it's a very plain black on white. I've also tried different dialers, but those all launch the stock "phone" app when an actual call is in session, switching from a nice white on black dial-keypad (stock or third-party dialer) (btw, the "phone" app is on the play store, by Google Inc.)
So, does anybody know, first of all, what the deal is with the stock black on white phone app not following a theme's colors? is this a fault of the theme dev or Google's "phone" app?
Secondly, does anybody know if there is a fairly recent phone.apk version that has been modified to invert the colors?
Man! almost every other app I have is white on black, except this phone app!
If you are not sure what I'm talking about, try applying a dark theme and then start a call, and watch your phone app revert to the ugly black on white in-call screen.

That is a nice dialer, indeed, but the in-call phone app is NOT the same thing as a dialer. There are many dialers, but I am asking about the app that a dialer launches when a telephone call is running.

I'm not looking for a dialer. Please see the original post.
