[Q] Help with a keyboard and dialer - Captivate General

I have found a dialer and keyboard that I like. I am running Serendipity v6.2 and would like to add the dialer and keyboard from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1003379. It is a I9000 JS7/JS* theme (though I don't think that matters in this case. The dialer, I understand, can only replace the current dialer I have installed. The different dialers I have tried have been CWM, so I don't know how to extract the dialer (from the attached theme) and replace the current one. The keyboard: I have two installed a NunHugger swipe and another keyboard I like. So how, if I can, do I add a third. Once again where do I find it in the theme and how do I install it?
Thanks, Tomween1

Stock/Original Dialer and keyboard skin

Hi everyone!
I would like to ask if you guys know where i could get a cab file to restore my dialer and keyboard skin to the OEM stock dialer and keyboard look.
Basically I am using a custom rom with built in custom dialer and keyboard skin. However I very much prefer the original stock dialer and keyboard look.
Any help will be much appreciated.

[REQUEST] [ICONS] Stock Android Icons?

Hey guys. Sorry, I've searched, but I just couldn't find them. I'm looking for the stock Android/Froyo/Eclair icon pack so that I can use Better Cut to restore the stock icon look in ROMs that use custom icons. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Not sure if this helps you but since it fits into the thread:

Bettercut doesn't replace the icon, just the shortcut. You need to use meta/ninja morph or just reflash the google base.

All I care about is what the icons look like when I create a shortcut on the home screen. Bettercut does the trick just fine.
Just extract the icons from a stock rom then.

I'm very interested for applying the icons set to my wife's Desire (I hate the default HTC icons).

Tablet Orientated Dialer: works on stock, CM or whatever.

Here's a modified version of Wysie's NubDialer app to better fit landscape views on the tab. I got tired of trying to find a dialer that fit and worked well in landscape.
It doesn't replace your stock dialer just adds a new one.
I know the icon is ugly, but you can replace it with most launchers.
I've attached the source as well, the only changes I made were to the landscape layout, and removing the 'close dialer on fling' as it's not required.
Feel free to make any adjustments you want, the original source is available here; http://code.google.com/p/nubdial/

Gingerbread 2.3.6 mms.apk theme doesn't appear

I have Samsung GT B7510. When i had froyo rom, there were some themes for mms.apk . But after updating gingerbread , the themes have gone. There is no option to choose different themes. When i look at the res fonder in the app i see the different pictures for theme but we can't use it. Is there any way to edit the apk to use this themes? I don't like other messeging apps. Stock app is so simple, and i generaly use swiping right and left to message or call someone who text me. Does all gingerbread roms lost message app theme, or just our phones rom does?

[Completed] New version of GoLauncher EX (premium) does things to my icons

The latest version of GoLauncher EX does things to my icons that I hate: it puts black rectangular overlays (in fact underlays) to quite a number of original homescreen app-icons - but not all (that's a part of the problem). The GoLauncher support team is not very reluctant to help me, and puts me on "hold".
However I managed to extract the "apk" installer file of a previous version of Go Launcher, which didn't cause this issue of black rectangular "underlay" of many original icons.
The thing also is that by putting a black underlay to the original icons, the launcher has to make the original icons smaller (by some 20%). This is totally unacceptable. Now a big number of original icons have this black underlay and the result is awfull.
Having the previous apk of the launcher, how can I proceed ? First uninstalling the actual version of the GoLauncher and than using the old apk ? I might lose a number of settings !! Or just overinstalling the actual (bad) apk with the old one ?
How uggly is this ?
Some icons get the black underlay, others don't. I just don't want underlays because it makes the originals too small.

Hello and Welcome to XDA-developers!
In your case, I should do this steps:
1. Since you have GoLauncher installed, install another launcher (now you have 2 launchers)
2. Choose to apply the second launcher as default and uninstall GoLauncher (now you have only 1 launcher)
3. Download GoLauncher (Old one that doesn't have that issue you talk about)
4. Install GoLauncher and choose it as default launcher (now you have 2 launchers and GoLauncher is the default one)
5. Uninstall second launcher
