[Q] Need apps: Post note on lock /idle screen - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hello guys
Many things come up and sometimes forgot...
Can anybody advise whether an app to post/display our notes on lock or idle screen. Something works like Stick Note in Windows 7
Thank you very much

if u use Co0kie Home Tab 2.0 can try CHTwNotes: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002307

without installing a software for this, you can write your notes as calendar appointments, so they'll be displayed on lockscreen

The calendar will show task one by one according to schedule. My purpose is to post it all once only then I can decide which would be done first
Thanks anyway.
My ROM is an original

HTC home: automatic update of weather tab

Hello All,
I notice on my device that the weather tab of HTC home updates data only when I select the tab but not automatically if the tab was not selected when the device is in standby mode.
However, the weather tab automatically updates every around 3 hours if the weather tab was selected when the device is in standby mode.
Does someone know if a script or a program could just select the weather tab every 2 or 3 hours (or simulate a tap on this tab) and then go back to the time tab so that the weather tab would update automatically every 2 or 3 hours "in background"?
Sorry if my post is not too clear, English is not my native language.

Thanks for your post but I don't think that it answers to my question.
Does someone else have ideas about a program or a script to select the weather tab and then go back to the time tab?

Anyone, Please. I am also very interested in this. I hate clicking the weather button for a quick check and having to wait for an update via slow edge. Really wish the updates were continous whether the tab was selected or not.
Mortscript?
Does someone know how to do it with mortscript?
Here are some posts that pertain to your question.

Thanks for the links, but those are dealing with adding customized locations and getting weather to work through a proxy. Our weather works, it just doesn't auto update if the weather tab isn't selected.
Anyone found already a solution for this using f.e. MortScript?

Also interested.
Very anoying to have to wait for weather to update everytime I switch to the tab.
Alternate: anyone have a good weather app with quick load times and automatic updating?
I use Weatherbug Direct right on my today screen. You can configure how often it updates current conditions and how often it updates the forecast. And it's free.

People are asking a question about the standard weather tab, which works good enough for most people. So don't come up with another new program, I'm sure people have enough custom programs as it is.
That being said, I'd like a fix for this too! Something like the scheduler for e-mail, so that weather updates automatically every 2 hours or so.

TouchFlo: Calendar Tab...?

For the most part, I like TouchFlo. The only thing missing for me is a calendar tab. I realize I can turn on the WM standard calendar plugin on the lower portion of the display, but don't want to give up the space to have it always present. Ideally, there'd be a way to add a calendar tab to the middle and have the appointment info display up top when that particular tab is active. I've searched, but didn't come up with anything. Is there a way?
Is your calender not set to the bottom-left shortcut key (Above green call button) by default ?
Ummm... a 'button' is different than a 'tab'. As stated, I would like a way to quickly refer to upcoming calendar stuff on my Today screen, without launching an application, and other than using the standard WM plugin. Re-read the original post should you require further clarification.
Thanks though...

Your a bit of a tool really aren't you ?
I think he meant the HTC Today Screen Plugin. All these while I thought he meant the touch cube (which I errenously associated with TouchFlo).
Nope... just asking a question, different than the one you were attempting to answer -- but thanks for your input

[REQ] M2D/TF2D Appointments Tab?

Hey everyone, thanks for reading.
One of the things I'd like to see is a (QVGA) appointments tab for M2D/TF2D.
I feel really limited when being able to see only 1 appointment at my home screen, but having a list on a different tab would solve this completely.
This is what I'd like to see, however, any kind of appointment-tab would be greatly appreciated. It could also be something for later versions
-Configurable ammount of appointments at the tab.
-Kinetic scrolling (like programs tab) if there're to much appointments listed to fit the screen
-Can be switched position on the 'tabs-bar' trough M2DC
-(Instructions on how to get) An icon for it that fit's your theme on the 'tabs-bar'
If someone could explain to me where to start, or if it's even possible, I'm willing to give it a try myself. However I've never done any coding for PPC before.
Thanks in advance!
i would love to see this too. i hate only seeing one upcoming appointment, i often forget what goes on in the whole day. i know that thumbcal is only one click away, but this is why we mod things: to make them easier to use!

Missed Calls Gone

Hi guys,
I just upgraded the phone to the newer ROM that's available on the HTC website. On my home screen, the Missed calls function is gone and I'm left with the calender. Is there a way to add an extra function on top of the calender?
Thanks.
Stock Roms are limited.
WM 6.5 has replaced this with the quick links.
You can try installing a Manila tweak such as Cookies Home Tab or Max Sense for additional functionality.
Thanks, I will try out what you suggested.
U also can use the apllication below

Here did u get this ?? can the creator fix the missing link to the alarms?
This tweek is a must, very usefull, not only we get the call history back, but the quick link goes from 3x3 to a 4x4 Matrix.
Issues:
- The Date background was not correctly dimensioned(Fixed),
- The alarm click does nothing,
- It Creates 2 duplicate links in the start menu (for people and HTC calendar) .
Appart from this Issues, it's a very Usefull tweek.
I'll try to alter the original cab to include this changed File, and I'll post it back later on today.

[Q] Lock Screens for our HD2

Are there any developers here on XDA who have their own versions of lock screens for the HD2.
I have tried Kumar's ROM series which uses the Iphone like lock screen but it doesnt display unread sms and miss calls properly.
Secondly: I tried Duttys HD Rom series (currently) and it has the HD Mini style lock screen which even gives you a preview of unread messages, appointments, miss calls etc.
So are there other lock screens available ? I see people posting in other threads cool lock screens and mention something about CHT2.0 etc. So is it possible to have other cool looking lock screens which display other useful info too ??
With CHT 2, you can actually even personalize your lockscreen.
Plus, there are many themes prepared for you by other users, just browse the theme threads a bit, there are quite a few which include great lockscreens...

thanks....but i have never used CHT before...so a little confused !!
CHT 2.0 is easy to use, yet infinitely customizable. I highly recommend it.
lock screen
well I'm not sure about developers on xda and I'm not sure if i can put links here.
but i just purchased the pocket shield lock screen (way too expensive) but it is really pretty cool, has lots of settings and very customizable. no I'm not working for them.
on a side note I'm not sure if it's the lock screen or something else but since i put it on the phone i have noticed much better battery life.
and you can try before you buy!
i'll post a link please let me know if it's not allowed

I would recommend S2U2. v2.43 is the latest I think and its free. It allows you to disable the Windows lockscreen and replace it with S2U2 (no double unlocking)
Quite customisable and seems to be very stable. Also has notifications for SMS, tasks, missed calls, etc. Shows appointments as well. Many many settings. Reading the CHT thread the one thing that consistently seems to cause trouble is the built-in lockscreen.
Good luck with your choice
With Pocketshield the double-lock issue happens only when CHT installed and CHT lockscreen is enabled, but there is a workaround for that http://jdbp.mobi/phorum/read.php?2,10361,10509#msg-10509
But if you use no CHT there is nothing to worry about.

is pocketshield better or CHT lock screens ?any comparisons ?
pocket shield
in my humble opinion pocket shield is way better than cht. plus for some reason when i get a new msg if sms is running in the background touch-pal always pops up lock or not, but with pocket shield none of that plus it displays the text, voice mail calls {with pics i think} appointments.....and all that
the only real problem i find annoying about is that for some reason it constantly changes the internal text settings to "display msg" when received i hate that so when I'm done setting up pocket shield i have to disable that again but it does not affect how pocket shield works.
like i said it is heads and toes above stock, and cht and s2u.....but the cost is way too much it should be no more than 3-5 and they would make a greater impact in sales.
