Installing HTC Home

I'm sure many of you have seen and heard this question before, but I have searched all over and don't seem to be able to find:
1. Where to get the latest version of HTC Home. Evidently there are many versions. Being as I'm running WM6 on my mogul, I guess I'm looking for the latest compatible version. I have found JUVS_HTC_Home_Sprint_Plugin_v1_0_824711-0.cab and HTCHomePlugin.cab. I think the shorter filename is an earlier version, but I can't tell you why I think this. Maybe the context where I found it.
2. Instructions on how to install this stuff I have downloaded. What am I supposed to do with these .cab files?
Please excuse my ignorance and the redundancy of this question. I'm pretty new to all of this stuff.

now go to start / my computer / open up your phone (should be at the bottom) and place the cab file in the "my documents" folder..run the cab file and once its finished restart your phone and should be working

Well, it seems to be working. The longer filename was a quick launch only. The other file is working better for me. Now if I can just find how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit on the weather.

after its setup go to the weather tab and click on your city , after that when it displays all the citys go to menu, weather options and switch it to fahrenheit

On the weather tab click on your city name. You will see the "Select City" page. Click "menu" on the bottom right. Click "Weather Options". Click Temperature scale: Fahrenheit. Click done at the bottom of the screen.

Everything is working great. Thanks everyone. Now I'm trying to figure out how to change the quick lunch buttons. This version of HTC Home is suppose to allow for that.
Edit: I have found HHC ver. .08 that performs many functions for me. This one is gonna take a minute to learn.

here are some screenshots, with freshed app installed:
if you want to get rid of that error message that appears when you try to access tab "Photos & Videos", just unzip the attachment "Album Searcher Signed.zip" and copy the .exe file to windows directory intro TG01.

How did you get that take your position??
When I try it´s impossible and if I go to settings and try to "click" in position it give me an error message that says: "Can´t open AGPSettings"

you don't have to use My Location. Just enter another city for updating the weather.

I enter another city, but in the clock screen apears under the clock "my ubication" and not the city that I selected in the wether screen
So I can´t look the weather in the main screen with the clock and the cool animation I have to go to the right untirl the weather screen and then select my city

for that, use this cab from attachment.

or just clic on the clock and select your city
Also i suggest in weather setting: disable "download weather for my location"

How to make a call in sens 2.1
Can u make a call in sens 2.1 manila?
Do u have some fix for that?

change back ground of sense 2.1
i found thease great cabs to change the back ground just unzip then pick the backgroun u like and install the cab for that back ground

it should appear, the last one i think.

I can't update weather information. The device gives a connection error but is connected via wifi. What can I do?

Just turn on the WIFI in wireless manger

i have the same problem ... there is no chance to place programs ...

I solved with hard reset of the device. I had installed the previous version of manila (1.3 ...) that created problems with the wifi (which was tourned-on).

some feedback.
I've installed it correctly, but have few remarks...
- Battery disappears from the title bar. (is there a solution or a widget to show teh battery?)
- Sometimes crashes with calls log.
- in the pictures tab (after fixing the error bug) i can't click/chose any of the photos, even can't activate the Camera from this screen.
- Also Albums are not working.
- in the settings tab, commManger and email setup are not working.
- Youtube link in the browser's tab is not working
this is all what i noticed so far...

I've switched to 2.5 because this one is allways shutting down after 4/5 seconds without doing nothing
I've managed to deactivate all of the tabs and played with the configs within that time... but it was a no go...
Can someone help me out getting the source of the problem
I'm running on a B7610 with stock 6.1
After an hard reset
i've installed sdkcerts, net 3.5, netcfg (to make device use 3.5 instead of 2.5), audio fixes, album searcher...
is there something that i have missed or i have to do in particular
And now, due to the versions that are out
between this one and 2.5 wich one is the most stable and bug less
i'm on the 2.5 very fast and smooth... But it only works more as info and eye candy (contacts and answering messages and calls doesn't work)

Hey, someone has put this link in the wrong post. I don't know really how does it work but I'm sure you guys can deal with it:
Is like an ftp site with several files to install Sense 2.1 in our TG01. Take a look and maybe you can use them to solve some bugs.
Edit: Because of I'm a new user, I can't post the link. However I can tell you where you can find it. In the "TG01 ROM Development" forum, the post named "Need any Toshiba TG01 rom", look at the entry #262 in the 27th page.

hi i have installed manila 2.1 but som of the key dont work.
do i have to install other cabs to get the same screen shots as post 1
where do install the netFramework3.5 on the o[phone or computer and where can i find it from?

anyone figure out issue with calling from a contact? I have this installed on i920 w/ stock rom and whenever I select a contact and try calling it would restart touchflo.... Also my location didn't work.

Disable weather background on sense 2.5

i just would like to know if it possible to disable the weather background for sense 2.5 a cab would be nice i thought i seen it somewhere but i cant find it

just go to animated wallpaper and choose your own picture. it won't be animated.

i tried but when i click wallpaper change there are only 2 options weather and animated wallpaper. i have my own picture but the weather animation kinda just clouds the beautiful screen. using stock tmo rom if it matters

How do i remove my location?
Would be nice to get rid of the sun icon, which is in the way all the time.

Ignore that - it's nothing to do with what you're asking. That advice is only for modifying the wallapaper, not the weather on the clock.
There's no 100% foolproof way of getting rid of that weather display, other than a blag. Set the clock location set to "my location" and use the disable my location cab from the bottom of the second post in the hints and tips thread that is stickied at the top of the HD2 general forum. This will only work if the "my location" thing has never worked. If you've ever had weather updates for that location then this simply won't work.
If you ever change your clock location it may start showing weather there again though. If that happens, get used to it.

Well, seems like someone have manageed to get rid of the weather, but what u said sounded reasonable with what I've experienced.
But would be nice if anyone could get a cab-file that removed the weather from the "home" screen...

There was a long thread about this when the HD2 first came out, and people ended up hacking dll files that worked on some devices and forced other people to hard reset, so I'd avoid that like the plague! It's not something that I'm interested in, as I find that area of the screen looks bare without it, so I've not paid much attention to discussions in that area. I still don't think there's been a 100% solution though.

[REQ] ONLY Call History button on home screen

I know it's been discussed a lot and I know that there are already multiple threads about this, but I'm looking for a cab with ONLY Call History button above Calendar.
Some of you will say that there is Cokie (or whatever name it was) and there is Jamrecords 16 Shcut & Calls, but I do not want those. Cokie for example disables swipes between screens, but I use that option to go from home tab to People. Jamrecords 16 Shcut & Calls has only 16 icons on home screen, I use 20 icons.
I also do not want any fancy icons or whatever, I just want the button with the black and white icon.

You can use Co0kie's Home Tab for this. You can turn off all the other features and it does not stop you from sweeping from tab to tab. That was in a very early version and was fixed quite some time ago.

Thanks johncmolyneux for your answer. You are right that I can install Co0kie's Home Tab and turn everything off only leaving the Call History button, but I really don't like the idea to install such a huge addon and only using it for a button. That's why I'm looking for an option just to add this button.
After an hour of digging I really can't find a standalone solution for this. And I do not have the time to dig into windows mobile to create such a solution by myself.

+1 for just the Call History and if possible without the Calendar as I never use the phones calendar for appointments so would rather get rid of it. I've been searching all morning/afternoon so far and I know Cookie's app does this but I don't want everything else I'm happy with my phone in it's stock form would just like this little add-on. Does this exist?

Local weather on HTC Weather Tab

Hi guys
I'm running with PCarvalho's (23547) rom at the moment and was wondering if it is possible to have a location on the weather tab that updates the five-day forecast automatically depending on where you are at the time. What I mean is to make it perform in pretty much the same way as the location on the Home tab does. I've done some searching on the subject but didn't come up with any results.
Any ideas gratefully received.
