Hey guys, new to Android and trying to root my LG Revolution with SuperOneClick. The farthest I can get is...
Killing ABD server...
OK
Starting ADB server...
*daemon not running, starting it now on port 5037*
*daemon started successfully*
OK
Waiting for device...
Then the program either stops responding or just does nothing. USB debugging is turned on in my phone. I read through several pages of the SOC thread and all I saw about this issue is "switch USB ports" which I have done.
Any help would be much appreciated

Trying to get ADB to work..

Okay so I am about to go insane trying to get this to work. I've got a MyTouch3g which I just flashed cyanogens 5.0.7 this past week and haven't been happier.
However I was trying to get ADB to work on my new laptop, as my desktop machine is out of commission at the moment. I remember how much of a pain it was to get working, but this is getting ridiculous.
I am running Win 7 64bit with all windows updates. I downloaded the Android SDK and followed all the instructions to the T from cyanogen wiki. Except when I plug my phone in, it reports USB device is not recognized and has 'malfunctioned'. I don't even get anything reported under Device Manager except 'Unknown Device'. From here I've tried updating the device via numerous google reports of 64 bit usb drivers to no success. I also tried the Motorola Droid drivers for the 64 bit via a installer and still no success. I even tried the HTC Sync which still, no success.
I tried using USBDeview and removing any HTC and going from those steps as well, there were two HTC devices listed from when it previously worked fine on my 4.2 cyanogens, and again this didn't help the matters.
At this point I am wondering if something is wrong with my phone? I cannot even mount my SDCard anymore.

device manger usb

ok been reading through everything and everywhere, and hit a brick wall. i've dl the android driver, look into devices, My HTC driver is bringing up "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware code (37)". i know sync will be recognized as htc desire, cant get that to work. sdk not working. tried uninstalling and installing way to many times still no progress yet. btw running vista home premier 32 (dont laugh to hard)...suggestions? wanna root this phone already. holding me up
a few long nites, finally have this resolved. if anyone else is having problems try this

[Q] need help with huawei usb driver

hi! i just got a huawei mediapad s-7 931wd "tablet" and in the process of trying to root it. and to be honest, im a super newbie in all of these, in fact i didnt know what rooting was until earlier today. Anyway, I got to a lot of websites giving me instructions on how to do it. To summarize it, i downloaded jdk and microsoft.net and eclipse. i have tried superoneclick and the command prompt thingy method to root my device. unfortunately, it all boilds down to some error and that is cannot connect to device. Now, I have spent hours trying to get the right driver for the USB port but was unsuccessful. i have tried installing hisuite, downloaded several drivers from huawei and other hosting sites but still cant get the right driver. plugging in the tablet thru usb doesnt prompt any autorun to set up the driver.
guys, please help me out, i have like read over 20+ posts thru google on how to root my device and tried to follow them religiously but i always get stuck on "make sure you have the drivers installed" part. I think thats where everything is going wrong. I simply just cant get the right driver with this tablet. right now im on the verge of throwing out this tablet so pleaseeeeeee help.

Recovery mode seems to clobber the USB driver on Windows 10

Similar questions to this have been asked before but got no replies so, in desparation, am asking again.
Bought my phone second hand. On starting, it shows the Vodafone logo so assume it's branded.
About Phone -> Software Information shows:
Android Version: 2.3.5HTC Sense version: 3.0Software number: 2.10.161.5
HBOOT shows:
*** UNLOCKED ***SAGA PUT SHIP S-ON RHHBOOT-2.00.0002
Now for the problem:
I'm trying to set S-OFF and root the phone but my PC, running Windows 10, is unable to communicate with the phone when it's in Recovery mode.
The entry for My HTC under Android USB Devices in Device Manager disappears once I start the phone in Recovery mode and connect it to my PC via a USB cable.
At this point Device manager on my PC shows under USB Controllers an entry for an unknown USB Device (Device failed enumeration) and the Hardware Ids show as USB\UNKNOWN.
I'd really appreciate someone familiar with this area throwing some light on what could be going on here and perhaps giving me some pointers on how to resolve this.
there is one quick fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/general/guide-fix-fastboot-windows-8-1-t2858337 (for me it worked with the old win 10)
if it doesnt work: the fastest way is to seek a friend with windows 7 and s-off the bootloader
if its s-off you dont need the "fastboot" mode
here is an tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-desire-s/general/installing-cm13-untouched-htc-desire-s-t3456585 if you have luck it works with your win 10 too
IMPORTANT: DO NOT UPDATE TO ANDROID 4.0.4 IT KILLS THE POSSIBILITY TO S-OFF YOUR PHONE

Thanks for replying but, following the links you gave they all ended with a brick wall. Using VirtualBox I tried using Window 7 and even Windows XP. All attemprt failed miserably.
In all cases Device Manager showed the MyHTC driver installed under Androis USB Devices and working normally. Running command 'adb devices', when the phone was running normally, worked fine but USB connection is lost every time when booting into HBOOT, making fastboot etc impossible.
I've reached the point where I can't waste any more time on this having wasted far too much already. I don't like giving up but this has got me.

If I can drum up any enthusiasm to continue, I'll try and borrow a PC running Windows 7 and try again.
