Rooted this weekend with the new tiamat Manta ray... can I still encrypt my tablet, or will that cause problems? Thanks in advance.

Hi All,
I have a Xoom Wifi (Aussie) which I've flashed with Tiamat Hammerhead and Tachi Kernel. Wierdly I couldn't get the 3.2 OTA update but that's another story...
Anyway I'm having trouble getting PTP working with my Nikon. It worked with 3.1 stock, but as soon as I flashed Tiamat it stopped working. I have tried USBOTG with a flash drive, and that worked fine, but no PTP. Its kind of a pain because I use the Xoom with my camera a lot.
Anyone have any ideas? I don't know where to start!
Thanks in advance
Just an update to this: I re-flashed with the US version of the stock ROM, and updated to 3.2, then flashed the latest Tiamat kernel.
Now PTP will work to a point... Like, for the first few seconds of plugging in it will work perfectly, then it'll abruptly stop and not display any images any more. Which kinda sucks.
I'm gonna try flashing the stock kernel and trying again.
Hello,
I have the same problem with Tiamat 2.2.1.
Have you resolved the problem? I don't know what else to do :-\
My transformer recently started to have some hardware problems. The problem is the tablet is rooted. I did a nandroid backup but I seem to have misplaced it. Can anyone help me?
Hello ladies and gents, was hoping I could get a bit of assistance. I was recently cleaning out my tablet, trying to free up some room for some files and deleted a few files I was under the impression I'd left in the root folder when I rooted and installed a custom rom. That was 3 days ago, and ever since, my wifi will no longer turn on, stuck on "Turning wifi on..." I figure obviously I deleted something needed(Though I haven't the faintest what it was now) and have run into the issue that of course it can't be recovered. Nothing else has stopped functioning, and the tablet runs spot on otherwise. I have tons of apps and files on here that I'd like to keep, but I kind of need my wifi access working again. Anyone have any ideas as to what might have happened, or how to get the issue resolved? Thanks in advance.
I'm running:
Android 4.1.1
wifi:v7.1.0.65
Kernel: 3.1.10that2-oc
Build: Cleanrom inheritance 3.3 - 10.4.4.25/ww deodex

You probably deleted some of the kernel init files. You should never remove any files from root or put any files there.
To fix just reinstall the ROM again, or upgrade to the latest version
Did you try re-flashing your ROM? Should re-add any important system files and keep your others.

Hey guys,
do u have some tipps to boost my xoom? After a couple of apps opened (also in background), the xoom reacts very slowly.
Ive got the omnirom 4.4.2, OC to 1.4 GHZ
I also created an SD Swap File of 1 GB
What else could I do? What about ART?
Kind Regards

This might answer, or explain some of your concerns. It will also depend on how demanding the open apps are.
For me, I started having some issues with my xoom a little while back after having flashed, wiped, dirty flashed, wiped dalvik, etc. etc. over a period of about a year. It was my first device that I was flashing and customizing, so made plenty of newb mistakes. Saved my files and did a tibu then, complete unroot flash to stock and lock the bootloader. Unlock, reroot, and it was like a new device.
Hope this helps.
This question is in regards to Hyperdrive KK RLS4.1. I am currently on Hyperdrive v3.1. Can I install the new 4.1 on it without losing anything? Or will I have to re-tweak everything and install all my apps and other users apps once I flash it?
Usually I am flashing a ROM on a wiped device and never had to worry about losing info, so any help on the subject would be appreciated.
Thanks!
