Yes i rooted my nexus using the pdanet method pretty much one click root. I need to unroot it so i can return the device. Ive seen diffrent methods on how to do this. im unable to get adb to work. Cant find the right drivers a i guess so any help would be great.
I don't know of any method not using adb.
ok then how do i set up adb for the nexus.
Easiest is to follow this guide: http://theunlockr.com/2009/10/06/how-to-set-up-adb-usb-drivers-for-android-devices/
I am trying to root my new galaxy nexus using superboot on a mac. I unlocked the bootloader, and when I tried to root the phone, it lagged at the google welcome screen for 25 minutes until I pulled the battery. When I turned the phone on I have superuser, but when ever I try to use clockworkmod it doesn't have the required privileges and my phone does not appear to be rooted. I tried to then unroot my phone but the terminal commands would just say no file directory found, and it wouldn't work. The method I used was [MAC METHOD] Root,Unroot & Unlock Your VZ Galaxy Nexus on android central. Unfortunately, because I am new xda won't allow me to post the link.
Any help in rooting my phone would be appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

get the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit
Thank you, do you know of ways do do this on OSX? I don't have access to a PC right now, but I can probably borrow a friend's if I can't make this work on my mac.
Ok, problem solved. I used this method:
[TOOL] Root / Unlock - Unroot / Lock [Mac] on the galaxy nexus forum, (I can't post links yet)
which has a one click method.
However, I used the manual method and discovered that I had to direct it to the folder by writing in terminal
cd /users/
cd [username]
cd desktop
cd [file name]
I hope this will help someone else

You are definitely doing something wrong. Follow this method and you should be fine. Since I cannot post external links while in noob status here, go to DroidLife and search for "how-to-root-the-galaxy-nexus-4g-lte-and-flash-custom-recovery-verizon".
Where it says "adb", replace it with the mac version. For example: adb-mac push su.zip /sdcard/
Thank you, everything is working now, and Jelly Bean is up and running

So I was able to root my Kyocera Hydro Life using the 1 click root method that Root Genius provides. Everything went okay and root checker said I had successfully rooted my phone, but when I try to use certain apps it says I require root permission. I looked up the solutions and found that putting my device in Recovery mode then using fastboot is what usually worked, but my phone doesn't have fastboot.
What do I do?

I'm sorry, but there is not a specific forum for your device yet.
Fastboot (and ADB) must be installed on your PC. Here is a guide to help you get started. If you have any questions, post them on that thread after you have registered and one of our experts will help you. > Link replaced. See thread below for new link.
Good luck.
Please use the following link for a "How To" on fastboot and ADB > http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/noob-read-adb-fastboot-how-help-t3006500
Good luck.
I have an alcatel 5027b and after extensive searching on this site I could not find the appropriate rom to push to ADB via fastboot if perhaps someone may link it to this topic I will try it. I would also like to know how I may do this using linux since it is what I am using and also if possible, how to make a backup rom incase the root rom will not work. I tried kingoroot on phone and via pc along with several other one click root apps and 2 other pc root apps, none have worked.
