[Q] iPhone on T-Mobile and other carriers? - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys! I'm new here and searched this topic, but haven't found an answer. It's just a general question that would also help other users who like the iPhone, but have a different carrier. My question is, Will the iPhone (possibly 5) ever be released on T-Mobile (includes any other US carrier)? I'm just wondering because it would be nice if iOS finally made it to other US carriers. Thanks guys

[Q] [Xoom 2 / Xyboard 8.2] Any new information on SIM unlock / GSM modem hack

Just wondering if there was any progress on this issue for the locked Verizon version of the Xyboard 8.2. I'm considering trading my nexus 7 for one but I have AT&T LTE.
I love the work you guys do here. I have unlocked many verizon/sprint devices for worldwide and domestic GSM networks thanks to the awesomeness you guys upload for smucks like me to play around with like a child on Christmas. I thank you all.
Any help or new information on this issue would be great thanks

Sprint nexus 5 & roms

So excuse my ignorance in advance. I am one of those few people on the planet that actually has decent coverage where I live with Sprint, so thats why I dont buy a GSM addition of this device. My question is are there any roms for the Sprint addition of this device? I have been through a ton of threads and do not see anything specifically mentioning Sprint. I had the Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus and the development was there for those devices, of course not to the extent that the gsm carriers received but it was there. I am getting that Nexus twitch but I dont want to buy the Sprint version if there isnt any development for it. Thanks all, in advance.
No questions in general forums.
The Nexus 5 is just the Nexus 5 no matter what provider it's running off.

There is no Sprint edition of the Nexus 5. The same singular Nexus 5 has radios compatible with Sprint (CDMA/EVDO), AT&T and T-Mobile (GSM/UMTS/HSPA+), and LTE for all three. Simple as that.
There is only a North America version (D820) and a European/Rest-of-the-world version (D821). Difference is only the LTE bands.
Google did it right with the Nexus 5, no variants of the Nexus. They're all the same:thumbup:

[Q] International S5 to US

I'm trying to figure out if an S5 bought in India would work here in the US on sprint. Family over in India sent one over and didn't consider the potential band/frequency issues. It hasn't arrived yet but I am hesitant to use it considering Samsung's region lock etc. Anyone have any experience? Can it be rooted / flashed and work ok on sprint?
I searched around on the forum seeking an answer and I didn't find anything specifically explaining yea or nay. Closest I got was :

[Completed] Best Budget T-Mobile Android Phone for Rural Areas?

I didn't know where to post this (since there isn't a "network" forum) but hope this doesn't break any rules. Sorry if it does.
Hey guys, my dad and sister need a new Android phone for T-Mobile. Basically, they currently have an old Moto G and GS4 for AT&T that I have working on T-Mobile and they are having signal issues in Springfield, MO and Wichita, KS. What would be a good new phone for them both that has about 32gb of space (16gb could work...) and is LTE capable there? I'm guessing it will need band 12... Hoping for something under the $200 mark. I've bought and sold on Swappa before, so that can be an option. I prefer new, but used can work if it's a good deal. An iPhone would be best for both because my dad has an iPad already but Android can work as well because I know iPhones aren't really under that price.
Anyone have a good pick I can find for them? Thanks!

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately assist is for guiding new users around the boards not for technical support, I'd try asking in android Q&A
Thanks for understanding

AT&T S7 Edge Nougat update files found online.

Hey guys,
For the one's who own an AT&T S7 Edge and are interested in the unrealeased Nougat update, please look at this thread. This is only for the AT&T model, not for international or other models.
As I created that forum in the AT&T S7's forum, I tought it was a good idea to let you guys in this forum know, as it will not appear in this forum.
I only know how to find updates on an AT&T phone, so for users of a Verizon, Vodafone, Sprint, T-Mobile or other providers phone, sorry I can't help you, you have to search for other threads about updates, sorry. But I hope I can help AT&T users.
