Hey guys,
For the one's who own an AT&T S7 Edge and are interested in the unrealeased Nougat update, please look at this thread. This is only for the AT&T model, not for international or other models.
As I created that forum in the AT&T S7's forum, I tought it was a good idea to let you guys in this forum know, as it will not appear in this forum.
I only know how to find updates on an AT&T phone, so for users of a Verizon, Vodafone, Sprint, T-Mobile or other providers phone, sorry I can't help you, you have to search for other threads about updates, sorry. But I hope I can help AT&T users.

Hey guys! I'm new here and searched this topic, but haven't found an answer. It's just a general question that would also help other users who like the iPhone, but have a different carrier. My question is, Will the iPhone (possibly 5) ever be released on T-Mobile (includes any other US carrier)? I'm just wondering because it would be nice if iOS finally made it to other US carriers. Thanks guys
Hello everyone , new here!
I've been struggling between official unlocked or verizon one, finally got a pretty good deal from craigslist and I'am so happy with my m8, except the Verizon logo on the back
I have seen the update diagram from HTC official site and carriers are almost always slower than official firmware update...
So I just wonder is there anyway to allow my Verizon One update directly from HTC, not Verizon.
Thank you guys!
HTC will be back!
I think as long as your phone is a Verizon phone or any other carrier for that matter you will always need to receive the update from the carrier. Unless you get a GPE or from HTC. I could be wrong, but this is what I understand from reading the forums and stuff.

What the Stig said.
Only dev phones and GPE phones get updates direct from HTC.
Unfortunately, those are GSM only phones.
On Verizon, you can only get official updates from Verizon.
Hello,
I moved your thread to Q&A all questions should be posted in Q&A
Thank You,

I'm trying to figure out if an S5 bought in India would work here in the US on sprint. Family over in India sent one over and didn't consider the potential band/frequency issues. It hasn't arrived yet but I am hesitant to use it considering Samsung's region lock etc. Anyone have any experience? Can it be rooted / flashed and work ok on sprint?
I searched around on the forum seeking an answer and I didn't find anything specifically explaining yea or nay. Closest I got was :

Not sure if this should be here or in the the Verizon S7 forum. I have an offer for a Verizon S7 at a really good price, but long term I think I want to stay with AT&T for compatibility reasons. Does anyone know if the Verizon S7 can be set to make use of all of AT&T's bands? I've seen conflicting answers on if it would be possible or not. Then again, maybe I should just bite the bullet and switch carriers, but I'm not quite ready to do that.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

All of the US phones have the same chipset which means all of the phones should have the same bands available . It is up to the carrier to decide which one to use and I believe there shouldn't be much difference between carriers, although I don't live in the US so I may not be 100% correct. So the best place to post this thread would be at the Verizon forum, because this one is meant for the international version.
From what I've experienced it's not to terribly bad, and from what I've read verizon doesn't have support band 12 and 29, which AT&T uses band 12 predominantly which sucks but what are our other options at the moment?
Hi there,
I have rooted my S7 Edge 935A from AT&T, but in a cursory survey of the popular rom alternatives, it's not obvious to me which(if any) I can install on this phone. I see a lot of "for exynos only" in the fine print. All I'm really after is a rom that is free of software updates from the creepy people at AT&T. After I rooted the phone, mandatory updates(which I don't want anyway) from AT&T crash it, and I end up having to do a factory reset. Any advice?
Thanks,
Matt
