Definitely
Yes
Nexus S = 5 megapixel (2,560×1,920)
Sensation = 8 megapixel (3264×2448
Thanks for replying, I was more concerned about low lighting. Nexus s camera is fast with 2.8 aperture.
Just got sensation for the wife, and camera is great. The flash does not wash the pictures out.

More megapixels don't mean better picture
Swyped from my HTC Sensation
Stock android camera is the only thing I don't like about it. So IMO, this one is better
as mentioned above, more MP doesn't mean better quality, but the sensation is known to have the best camera on an HTC phone.

sensation video performs very choppy on lowlight!!!!!!
Yeah. I'm pretty sure its a Sense thing. My EVO, and my buddies ThunderBolt does the same thing. It's kind of like the night mode on Samsung phones.

Any comments on the pictures though? I want to find out if the image compression on the Sensation is really as bad as the engadget review chalks it up to be.
Sense uses a weird compression. My EVO took much better pictures on firmware compiled directly from source code.

On my G2x, 8mp images were 3-8mb. On the Sensation, they are like .8-2mb. Why so small?
Bump......

Higher compression Not happy with the quality?
Images are more crisp than g2x I wouldn't worry about size of pic

Did you take a picture of this same view, maybe Sensation are using higher compression then SGS2.

Why does HTC still have their phones compress photos soo much? It's it to save storage space? Does anyone know?
They should know there are some people who will trade off for a bigger sized photo with better quality..
I record outside it looks amazing but indoors is gritty looking in all resolutions with and without flash. My gf mytouch4g looks amazing indoors in the dark with a flash.

It helped out a little doing that but i hope i can find a good camera app. T-Mobile said its just the camera my friend s4g looks the same. That's a shame mytouch camera looks way better at night.

Mine looks pretty damn good when indoors. The best I've ever seen...Easily.
Thanks for the exposure tip
Hey all,
I'm plannig to buy a new smartphone and now I just can't decide which of these two to buy: HTC Evo 3D or HTC Sensation?
I would buy HTC Evo 3D for larger capacity battery and 1GB of RAM, but HTC Sensation has a better camera and I more like its design.
BTW does HTC Evo 3D really don't have continuous auto focus and does Sensation have it? And does HTC Evo 3D have Sense 4.0 UI? Because Sensation has only 3.6 as far as I know.
Evo is far better 1 gb ram is too important also when update to ics
And It dosnt have sense 4 too

Okay. Thanks for your opinion.
Any other suggestions?
I'm on my EVO 3Ds now. Love it. My echo died. So I'm rocking the EVO. Not going to root yet.

The Evo is a more powerful phone, with its only disadvantage being the 5mp camera. Personally, I think its dual cameras look pretty sick. The sensation is slightly less powerful and its very bland to me.
I've been thinking of getting a 3D phone just because they have a very attractive backplates

Okay. Thank you all! I guess my decision will be the HTC Evo 3D!
Anyone else just getting ridiculous refocusing while recording? Any tips? The recording seems a bit of a let down compared to my HTC Amaze.

In low light environment, yes the auto focus is not robust and sometimes I have to manually tap the screen to get the video clear. In bright light, it's fine. I have never used Amaze so no comparison here but I am overall happy with my one s's video shooting capability.
