Release notes: This is unofficial and a leak. Teamblackhat, Mydroidworld, and myself are not responsible for what you do to your phone. Installing this firmware will void your warranty and may cause harm to your device.

i got it up and running... i feel like my signal and 4g speeds are a little faster so far.. not to mention it seems very zippy even using TW.. im gonna load up launcherpro and this thing will be smooth as butter

There are HEX differences in the LTE modem from EP1F to EP1H. I'd be curious to see if anyone notices any improvements in the 4G characteristics. I know I had a little higher latency and it would take longer to init. 4G when I was on GB.
I've attached a SS showing there are differences.
edit: the cp_modem is different too. Hopefully this causes some of the swithover and dropout issues I saw with GB.

Thanks for this

There's nothing particular in there, it's all HEX, but it just shows that the modem and ltemodem have had some update since the ep1f release. Not sure how it may improve or not the quality of the signal, just an observation. I recall reading that someone said the modem between the first GB leak and EP1F was unchanged.

Does kejar's audio fix from the last leak work to fix the audio issues on this one?

you could give it a shot im sure kejar hasnt even looked at this leak yet..
also i believe there is a significant 4g speed increase for me.. and i usually have full bars at my apt.. after the update i still have full bars but it seems faster.. my signal strength is coming up as -75dBm

What makes you think kejar isn't on my friends list and gets an early preview of leaks long before the public?
He has seen this.
Yes it will work.

few questions
1. will any of the ep1f roms work with this (i am going to guess no but worth a shot)?
2. if no how long do you think it will take for a new rom to be made for it?
and...
3. what happened to G!!!

I'm not sure if he will build a new rom just for this leak or not. But he has already gone through it.

Thanks P3 and TBH! Always look forward to your leaks.

yeah it seems like every time they start to get stuff figured out, a new leak comes out lol.. i would just give up but i commend all the devs for the work they due cus people can be annoying with all their complaints and stuff.. people dont realize that the devs have jobs, families, etc...

Well, they just need to quit their jobs and leave their families.
But really, thanks, to the devs.

IMO build is still not worth messing with. Not much better then the EP1F build that has been on the float for a bit. I used this build a few weeks ago and went back to Froyo as it still behaves like the original leak.

Guys over at Android central made a rooted Rom of the newest update thought you guys might wanna jump on this I'm downloading now will report back with results
Nice, will look more into it. Thanks!
Update: I don't think thats worth installing. Some of the apps like FB and Friendstream I usually use. And well its on 1.0 so, its worth testing at least. But thats for people that have more than 1 phone. I need mine fully functional.
It's stated that this breaks 4G on AC.
I wonder what is causing all the rooted roms to break 4g if they are based of the stock one.
Yea its also force closes accounts and sync in settings so its a no go for now I'm sure it'll be fixed soon though
FC is fixed with an update. If you find anything else that is glaring, let us know over there.
The breakage of A&S was due to us trying to keep it from having to wipe out the data partition, since resetting up the device sucks. But we had to repush some of the removed apk's... tomorrow we are releasing another update that will repush the Sprint apps to data, which you can remove at your discretion.
As far as the 4G... damned if I knew. I am going to logcat this sucker tomorrow and figure out why it makes the connection but doesn't allow data to push through.

Heh... 4shared is the biggest nightmare.
We have most of the issues resolved. Even used some Gumbo to get a little more aggressive with memory handling (not really needed with 512mb tho). Happy with the full busybox support, makes terminal entry much more gooder.
Flashing the new radio from toast pretty much gets us better battery life and Wifi signal. oh yeah... and fixes 4G
300 second wait then I'll be giving it a try.
If anybody successfully gets it hook us up with a mirror it absolutely will not download for me

Actually on page 57 there IS a new link that has the newest OTA included so it is new in a way. The link givin by the original poster is a bit confusing though since they havent updated the main page yet on there, but RVU 1.4 is out on page 57
There is also a oc/uv perflock disabled kernel linked in there too. Works with the RvU and other stock/rooted roms.

Quadrant scores mean nothing to me. My HD2 got 2.2k in it, which is more than my eee pad did. If an app/game is optimised/made properly it doesnt matter what score you get.
It seems snappier, thats enough for me

Cool. I'm still waiting to see if the FOTA update messes things up or not. Was meant to have been released today, but it hasnt been so far.
Just had a look at the update zip and it doesn't look like much has changed.
I think a new kernel will make this device fly. That and some Honeycomb fixes, but that won't come until Google open source it all.
I've taken a nandroid of my stock build and then installed Paul's Hr1 beta so I can play about with the rooted transformer but then revert back when Asus get there update out.
I've hardly touched my phone since I got tablet fever.

its easy to get Quadrant of 3600+ on a tegra2 tablet..
we get 3300+ on Folio100, and i made it all possible just adding the, famous loopback solution, from Desire originally.. it went from a small 2200+ to 3000+ depending on your test and background proc's running..
So quadrant is really not indication of speed really... but it does help a little writing to cache through loopback, but its not giving a slick userinterface or bigger feel og speed, if CPU is not oc'd and GPU is still the same..
there are even a tweak on tegra2, that will give you another 30% increase, hacking the framebuffers, on folio we got the 3000+ to 3300+ doing this hack, and its really not doing much on regular use, but quadrant does indicate more performance..
at the end CPU is the real thing, you should get it oc'd and you will be moving somewhere different..

You should know that the file size was just way too small. Should be 150mb or more. I think around 190mb. I don't know if the link is down though.
I know I didn't check the file size till after it failed to flash though. Was mostly seeing if others were seeing the same thing when trying to download

leaked Tbolt rom update

this may be old news, but according to a pocketnow article posted this morning, the recent Tbolt rom update has been leaked
Today, what looks to be the official ROM update for the Verizon Thunderbolt has been leaked. The name of the file is: PG05IMG_Mecha_VERIZON_WWE_1.13.605.7_Radio_1.16.00.0402w_1_NV_8k_1.41_9k_1.64_release _182746_signed. This should say something to aficionados but we'll help: the version numbers match those from the Verizon document. Opposed to the Radio previously leaked, version 1.16.00.0402w, the new ROM version numbers are 1.16.00.0402w_1 (and 182727 vs 182746).

Both packages are the same, deep down. In fact, the latest leak is a little older, but the actual internal images are the same for system/kernel/recovery/hboot/radios.

adam it appears that the last leak from prezkret i997uckl2 was the official. the issue is that we cant root it without using a custom kernel. for that reason if there are some minor diffs we will need to use the leaked kernel regardless. all attemps to root other than a non secure kernel fail. without root we cant dump the partitions. so id suggest just using the odin package that prezkret posted 6+ weeks ago to create the oneclick. thanks for your efforts regardless. the mac users need some love and att nor samsung will give it to them...

Rooting is not my concern. My concern is to get a total stock reversion package. Custom kernels can be flashed later as a upgrade. Thanks for the tip on prezkret. Ill convert an Odin package or flash a zip and pull my own partitions via UART.
Expect something next week sometime.

We had this leak since Nov. If it has the same file size and time and date, it kinda makes you wonder about all the statements about how much faster and snappier and better battery etc...
It's possible that just a factory reset will make your phone speedier.

The time for the Official was set right. After the final and last leak it takes a month for it to be finalized and released Officially, Although It did feel longer.
kl2 was mid December, check prezkrets post for an exact date. I 6weeks for testing isn't bad. what pisses me off is the 4 months they used to develope the firmware only started in sepember, what were they doing till then? the phone was advertised to be released with by samsung in January with gb and HDMI not one or the other, the i9000 already had gb. what was going on that they held us back all those months? the ki3 leak was a mess, data issues, galaxy s animation was still presant and so forth. far from finninshed, they made significant progress in 3 months, removed carrier IQ then decided to give us a screwed up launcher without wallpaper scrolling. were they sitting on their asses till September hoping nobody would notice their $200 flagship phone was discontinued after 3 months and was a year behind on firmware compared to similar models from the same company?

Ensuring that it was indeed broken crap - we can't have AT&T releasing a good firmware that will keep a customer owning the phone, right?
AT&T claims that it's quality testing that delays this stuff, but the clear boneheaded mistakes that make it through QA and the fact that some devices (like I9100->I777 and I9000->Captivate) can run firmwares from their international brethren with little change means that AT&T is delaying these updates to mangle them.
Over in I777-land, the I9100 firmware releases are clearly of far higher quality than the I777 ones despite the fact that AT&T is supposedly doing all of this extra testing no international carrier does.

Interesting theory. What do you think they do to mangle them? Take the Infuse update for example, are you talking about things as simple as the non-scrolling wallpaper in our leak/official or more low-level things to slow it down some?
i somewhat disagree with entropy and mostly agree. i found call quality on the infuse and captivate to be better than their galaxy s bretheren from other carriers.
that's all i disagree on. the captivate had hsupa removed, no option to disable data, the samsung implimentation made it dificult to force edge. there was no voice dialer. no bluetooth voice dialing. no sideloading apps. the sources were incomplete for 2.1 so unhelpful compilied his kernels from vibrant sources. i couldn't get flash to work on stock even though 2.1 did have a flash plugin on the captivate, wifi tethering was disabled depending on the firmware, usb tethering was hidden depending on the firmware (apparently there is a way to do it but it's not a straitforward option, tetering is not something i often do and i have only used wifi so my knowledge it on the cappy is limited) the libs and kenrel and possibly other rom ellements were designed to only work correctly with the captivate modem that disabled hsupa, if you used another modem it broke bluetooth audio in calls. the captiuvate was intentionally crippled! there isnt even a question about that.
the infuse firmware is a little better but the timeline is obsurd!
if stock android wasnt so ugly and the contacts and mms app were more feature rich id be aosp all the way but the nexus phones are a bit lackluster, the backlights on the nexus s being hardwired to the screen is bs, what about notifications? one thing that made the nexus 1 great was that awesome backlit trackball. the interface sucks but the native features of the os work flawlessly on aosp. i wish manufaturers and carriers didnt deny the end user the native features like tethering however you please with no headaches in order to brand the phone with a unique ui and hold back the update schedule. the current state of android phones is really depressing.

#1 This isn't based off the SkyRocket ICS leak, it's AOSP. He used some .ril & .lib from the leak to get it running. Huge difference.
#2 Most things are not working, this isn't even a proper release yet, it's an RC.
Data, Audio, Rotation, and many other still need to be worked out.
#3 While it's not customary to shoot the messenger, spreading false info will only lead to flames and more. Just an FYI.

#2 Most things are not working, this isn't even a proper release yet, it's an RC.
Data, Audio, Rotation, and many other still need to be worked out.
#3 While it's not customary to shoot the messenger, spreading false info will only lead to flames and more. Just an FYI.

I would imagine since it says they're using the Skyrocket ICS kernel, rotation would work for us? Isn't that the deal with AT&T/T-Mo sharing ROMs?

I didn't mean it was ROM BASED
1. I meant the stuff he got is from the SR leak, because the title can be misleading thinking its a t-mobile released. but thanks for making it clearer.
2. RAVER said the data/voice worked fine when he used his parent's ATT sim or something like that.
3. my edit2 suggest that a couple things broke when he fixed other things such as the audio problem. it worked before.
This isn't really false info except that the LEAK BASE might be misleading, but it was easier to say that than AOSP ICS BASED OFF SR LEAK LIB and RIL FILES LOL
BTW shouldn't the ROTATION be fine for ROGERS and ATT and i'm assuming data should work for rogers too.
4. thanks man, just trying to help the source since it was their release that helped us.

It's out now. If we flash it, is it going to change the modem firmware?

it shouldn't change the firmware, this is only the ROM and kernel.

I would think it should work fine for ATT and ROGERS skyrocket because.. it is your kernel lol. I really don't know, that's for you guys to find out.
I will gladly test on my t-mobile phone.
URL to the rom? I searched and there are too many to wade through to find it.
You must be talking about this one right?
