[HELP] Missing Bluetooth Address - HTC Desire S

I have some problem with the bluetooth.
It appears that I do not have a bluetooth address.
I'm using the latest rom of virtuous unity 1.29 with unity v2 kernel and RUU_Saga_HTC_Europe_1.47.401.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085 AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_199410_signed radio.
What should I do?

must be wrong radio...virtuous is based on 1.35.75.1 version..maybe u can try to flash radio from that one
check this

I tried the 2nd link you gave me. Doesn't work, my bluetooth address is still unavailable.
I can't find 1.35.75.1 from the first link.

The Bluetooth and WiFi addresses can only be seen when they are turned on. Make sure it is in and the check about hardware.

Oh okay. Well I do get the bluetooth address when I switched it on. But it still doesn't work. I still can't receive or transfer files nor can I detect nearby bluetooth devices.

i thought u know that BT must be on lol
try app bluetooth file transfer from market

virtuous rom its actually based on Sensation shipping ROM (1.35.75.1)) not on Desire S rom.Maybe is the best thing to find radio of virtuous 1.29 and reflash.

kernel version 2.6.32.21-g3c08447
build no 1.32.405.6 CL278359 release-keys

After this,I'm unable to connect through WIFI ..and HTC Sense is missing and when I try to connect to 'Market',it's not working----
Essentially ,no way to connect to Internet......But signal strength is showing 'full' and WIFI Status also says 'connected'...
Can you please suggest how to correct this?
Thanks in advance
Did you flash another rom?

How do I do that? Can you please give more detail? Thanks a lot
Download the rumrunner rom. Put it on the root of your sd card. Boot into recovery. Wipe everything and click install from zip and find the file and install it then reboot your system

All you need to do is flash a rom. Instructions for how to do this can be found in the development section. Make sure you follow the instructions for the rom your using carefully as some require a different radio than the stock and other things as well.

Rumrunner is a nice build. You can check out other roms and flash to a different one anytime you want. You can also go to the latest stock while remaining rooted. There are roms with or without Sense and some that have Sense 3.0.

Thanks,I may need to try another ROM it seems,as I face 'Blue tooth connectivity problem/ Poor reception Signal now.. ...Are there any known 'Bluetooth Issues' /'Signal strength issue' with this ROM/Radio??..I'm unable to pair my Bluetooth with the Inspire..The same Bluetooth works well with my 'Old Nokia set'!--
The Inspire has some Bluetooth issues out of the box, so I doubt it is the rom. There are some known connectivity problems. I have seen where others have posted of an app in the market that helps. I don't use it, so maybe someone else will chime in. As far as the signal, you may need to flash the recommended radio for the rom.

Strangely,..my HTC pairs properly with my Laptop !
The Bluetooth device too pairs with another Nokio Mobile...But the Blutooth device is not even Detected by HTC Inspire
So,only the ' pairing' between HTC nad Bluetooth doesn't work
Does this input give any input to solve this issue?
Any thoughts on thsi?
You haven't stated what Bluetooth device you are connecting to it
Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G
Some bluetooth headsets like my blueant have a limited number of pairings before you have to reset the headset. If I have reached that limit I get the same situation your talking about try looking in the bluetooth manual and see if you can reset pairing memory.

[Q] new hboot required for new radio?

Hi, I want to use the new radio, which will hopefully fix my Bluetooth problems with VoidU S.
Do I need the new hboot in order to change the radio?
Where can I also find the latest radio version you are all using? I can't seem to find it-
, can someone post a link? (I'm bas in the uk)
Can anyone confirm no Bluetooth issues with the new radio on VoidU S?
Many thanks!
Bump! Help please

I have heard that after flashing the new radio bluetooth is working on Void U.So, Flash It, and you can update to new hboot , but i dont thing its necessary. Anyways you can do the upgrade of hboot leaving no chances. Well ! you will never regret upgrading the hboot
Go Here For all details. Here you can find all hboot versions and radio, including GUIDES.

C'mon c'mon, look at the links in my signature for radio version thread.
Plus, I can't believe that you didn't look in the Dev INDEX thread There is a link to the new radio in the RADIO sub-section of that.
I'm afraid that I'm not 100% on whether or not you need the new hboot for it, but, I know that I'm on the new HBOOT and have the new Radio version...if that helps...
BT seems to function ok, see my #POST in VoidU thread although was rather worse for wear when i wrote it so its not the clearest.

'Rather worst for wear' - what do you mean?
Sorry, I did check that thread, but there seem to be loads of leaked GoApk radios from there, and I didn't know Which was the best. according to the radio thread (of the one your using) it works with the old Hboot. I'm going to try it now... Hopefully Bluetooth works!

TO be honest I hardly ever use it.
After much grief last night I managed to send one file from a device to another.....but that was about all that I managed to get working.
Wouldn't know what else to try.

will that radio work with cm10 ? i'm rooted and bootloader unlocked.. also if it does work can you please provide me a reliable link. thanks a lot
The Rom will but I dont think the ril will. Which is unfortunate, as the ril is what fixed my WiFi. There is a link in the developers section for radios.

I'm using CleanROM V. The 2.20 ril was posted a couple of pages back in that thread. Less than ten. I quoted it in there.
It could also be that your router isn't configured correctly. Mine wasn't at first.

I bought an HTC sensation with 2.1 android system.. I flashed ARHD ICS ROM after doing S-OFF and root + unlock phone.. So i made my phone as sensation XE with beats audio But I had problems With my phone signal coz sometimes it shut down by itself when receiving calls or after one minute during a phone call.. then when i reboot it sometimes it shut down again and it pisses me off >.< so i try to take battery off and it work for couple of days but then come back again.. I missed important calls coz of this issues..I never flashed radio.. recently I flashed MIUI 2.11.30 Still having same problem.. Any suggestions?

Thank you. The App said that baseband and RIL aren't matched so It suggested to install the appropriate one.. So I did. I'll test it and then reply.
I still got same problem guys! My radio is 11.76A.3504.00P_11.24A.3504.31_M and RIL now is 4.0.0037HMQ. What to do?

[help] wifi eror

I have hboot 1.29, device-XE, rom-viper 1.6.3. recovery-4ext, s-on. My wifi doesnt work. And stuck in "turning on".
How can I fix it?
edit: I read in the internet that I need Wifi module zip. how can I find it?
Have you flashed boot.img via fastboot already?
I guess trying that wouldn't damage your phone either.
(I had this wi-fi problem with ViperS 3.1.x, but flashing kernel fixed it.)

Btw try using the search, there are lots of threads of wi-fi problems, maybe you'll find solution that way, if flashing boot.img didn't do the trick.

I tried all the solutions and it still wont work. I have already read all the threads and did that they suggest but it not work for me.
I have XE,
hboot 1.29,
rom: vipers 3.1.2
Sebastian 1.0.2 JB kernel.
When I change my rom to cm10.2 the wifi works. So in my opinion it is something with the sense kernels or roms. Because in all sense 4.1 and 4+ roms the wifi don't work for me.
