WiFi problem on my At&t One X similar to the international version! - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

My WiFi is terrible everywhere.. i'll sit 10 feet from my router and not even half signal most times.. Should i open up and start to solder like the international fix? when i squeeze the screen it doesnt seem to help much though. Please help

Try flashing the 2.20 radio + ril first.

will that radio work with cm10 ? i'm rooted and bootloader unlocked.. also if it does work can you please provide me a reliable link. thanks a lot

The Rom will but I dont think the ril will. Which is unfortunate, as the ril is what fixed my WiFi. There is a link in the developers section for radios.

I'm using CleanROM V. The 2.20 ril was posted a couple of pages back in that thread. Less than ten. I quoted it in there.
It could also be that your router isn't configured correctly. Mine wasn't at first.

I've had errors in using the extracted RIL on CM/ other ROM bases. I'm unlocked and running my phone on Virgin Mobile Canada. When using the ported RIL and flashing new radio I had horrible connection speeds and service provider only showed 'Bell'.
Been looking forward to Football's release and he definately delivered here!

Yes, after installing the RUU and you will lose root access.
I'm having trouble with the download link. 5 times now the download craps out about halfway through. Does anyone have a mirror?
Im using it right now without the Ril and I find that i have better signal and a tiny bit better battery life and less dropped calls. But then again im with Telus so....

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the radio, not the rom
Available Mirror.
Its added under branded carriers list. This is hosted by our site (Driphter.com)

Better yet, I've rooted, zip-aligned, and added busybox to the stock ROM and inlcuded it in a flashable zip that is signed.
Download here
i tested this Radio and in France no difference between this new Radio and the 12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2.
Battery drain is worse for me.

You having problems with the data signal after making ROOT and S-OFF???

Researching and reading some homeowner concerns of htc sensation, I have observed that a large number of users after making root and s-off a large majority are having problems with the responsiveness of the data signal on the phone, even do not know that usually this problem if the custom ROM or made S-OFF, so if we know the problem is there, if you have the same problem post your complaints here.
people forget to match up radio versions and corresponding rils. i haven't had any issues with the properly matches rils/radios.

Noob here, i just want to ask how to check if i have matching radio and rils, i have flashed the arhd 4.1.4 on my phone and the radio that matches with the rom. I tried going back and forth to different arhd versions and i still ended up with unstable signal mainly on my carrier, wifi and data is fairly good. any tips and tricks u could share with me to fix this problem.. thanks in advance

So your still stuck with the same problem as me? Or did you just go back to out of the box stock Rom? I was thinking of just go with the stock, since I've been having problems mainly on signal issues after I flashed arhd and I can't stand having to turn airplane mode on and off everytime to gain signal.

Root and a off don't relate to signal, but what you flash after that does. Easiest solution is to use the same radio and ril combo as was included stock, whichever ROM you're using. Newer radios can give some improvements, but also can cause issues

ive looked and cant seem to find a flashable zip of the most recent tmo firmware. i found a nandroid but wifi didnt work. if someone knows where one is or can post one id appreciate it.
It's not going to work for you regardless. There is firmware you need included in update for Wi-Fi to work on that build.

very sad too cus my phone blows now.
2.21 runs great with awesome data speeds. I was on that for weeks till yesterday, giving this 2.35 a test drive. 2.31 gave me random reboots.
I'm on T-Mobile US.

Hmm. So I was having even worse data/wifi issues after updating. Like I said the speed test app wouldn't work, wifi calling wouldn't work. So I found the newest ruu which is posted here in the [email protected] section, like 2.85 or whatever. Ran the ruu and I'm having zero issues. Something with taking the updates ota didn't agree with my phone. If you're having issues after the ota I'd suggest just running the ruu. Seems flawless now.

GPS not working right..

Is there a way to reset the gps stats on this phone? Every time I go into Maps it shows my location at 20 or 40 meters and keeps moving between those two. I seem to remember my gps being as low 3-4 meters before.

I assume you tried clearing data in Maps?
GPS signals can be wonky. Lots of things can interfere with your reception. Does it seem to change based on where you are?

It just seems like all of a sudden it's not working as well.
This is related bit I've also noticed that my phone is laggy on any Sense rom that I flash and can't figure out why. It's like my phone hit old age and doesn't wanna work as smoothly as it did a few months ago.

Might be time for a RUU and re-root?
That app will give you the raw GPS data. You can use it to see if the problem is the signal or something else.

The 1.85 root method will still work even tho it finds 2.20 in the last step?
EDIT: Isn't there a way now to downgrade your hboot so if I ran the 2.20 ruu I'd still be able to downgrade and flash kernels and radios in recovery?

The downgrade method is pretty hairy and requires Linux. AFAIK the 1.85 root method still works (but I never used it myself).

I have the recent cm10 jelly bean installed. However I cannot use Maps GPS features. The signal drops and then Maps gets a force close errors. Any ideas in a fix?

[Q] how do you s-off AT&t htc one x plus

First of all I would like to thank all the developers for all their hard work.
I have an issue. I had soft bricked my Telus HTC One X+ a while ago. I have got it up and going again on wifi. But when I put a sim into it does not have any signal. I have checked to make sure the APN is correct. have tried all the APN's for telus and still no luck. So all I can come up with is there is no radio on it. So my question is is there a way to s-off the phone or another way to flash the radio onto it. I have tried an ruu.exe. But I can not find the newest update (which is the 3.15.xxxx) that is a exe to flash the phone. And since I do not have s-off I can not flash the zip it just keeps failing. I thought that way I would have a radio again on the phone. my H-BOOT is 1.40.0000 radio 2.14.55.11. Any help would be appreaciated.
