Image Monitor Widget for Android 1.6+ - Android Apps and Games

Description
This widget downloads 2 images from the URLs you specify and displays them on your home screen. You can configure the refresh interval (15m, 30m, 1h or 2h) and you can also do manual updates whenever you want.
Purpose
It is a great tool for system administrators to keep an eye on their servers when ... they are not keeping an eye on the servers (not at work, or when at work and interested to see the stats of their own personal servers).
You need to know how to configure MRTG or other tools that are able to generate these updated images.

Details
Home page contains more details of the application (screenshots, instructions to configure MRTG, image sizes, license, etc).
Widget listens for network connectivity events and downloads automatically the images every time a network connection is established.
It is by design, as I usually want to check the home screen widgets when I exit areas of no signal, and I don't like to manually update the things.
It comes in 4x1 size (for bigger screens) and in 3x3 for smaller screens (wildfire, x10 mini, etc).
I wrote an identical app for WM 6.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025076) and now I've decided to rewrite it also for Android (since I also have an Android phone now).
Download:
Image Monitor Widget.apk – version 1.1(116)
Permissions:
* Storage (modify/delete SD card contents) – needed to be able to save logs (into /sdcard/Android/data folder) and also to allow settings backup.
* Network (full internet access / network state) – so that images can be downloaded and to get access to the network state change trigger.
Running
You need to be an administrator of a server which you can configure to generate the small graphs.
To read about how to configure MRTG to generate the small images please check here.
There's no security for now - the images will have to be made available on your sever on a URL path that only you know and then add those URLs into the widget settings.
I'm using it for a while now and I've decided to share it with the community.

UR Image Widget
Hi,
I've written a similar android widget app that is multi purpose and should also be able to display MRTG-images:
URL Image Widget
Just search for it on google play
Have fun

[APP] Show IP Widget

Show IP Widget is basically a very simple widget (4 X 1 in size) that displays your android device's Internal AND External IP Address in a widget form. It detects your internet connection (both WIFI and 3g) and displays the IP Address accordingly. If your android device is not connected, a "Not connected" text will be displayed instead. You may also touch on the widget to copy the IP Address to clipboard.
More features coming soon! This is my first attempt at creating a widget for development purposes and to learn more about creating widgets for android.
You may grab Show IP Widget along with my other android apps here:

looking good
gonna try it
Updated widget to 1.1, minor update to the size of the widget to match tajm and battstat's widget size in overall height and make it more compatible with lockgo. You can grab it at the link in the first post.
on a blank screen the widget says not enough room to have it.
Edit: Spoke too fast. if the phone is held landscape and tried to add the Widget it doesn't work saying not enough room but if i do the same thing on portrait mode then it works. i guess you need to check the size on landscape mode also...
its good. i am working on the similar program with more like using Sockets and UDP.
will check it out and try to fix it for next release. thx for the info
works great! even looks fine resized to 2x1 in launcher pro. nice work

I'd appreciate if you can make it with an options to adjust the size: I like it to be much smaller so it does not take a lot of space.
Diastro -> Yes, i'm working on this for the next release, should be out soon. Don't worry
get it to the market ASP i love it
thor -> Yeah i will post it up on the market once I get a credit card and pay the USD 25 fee to enter the market
So i tried it today, but im getting an odd number here...
It shows like this:
Code:
WIFI: DataVortex
f380:8e77:12ff:feab:16b3
[50.41.129.***]
*** is a number but its edited to avoid posting public ip.
So for some reason it looks like its showing my private IP as some other number i have never seen... IPV6? ... -shrugs-

I just discovered this app today, and I'm glad I did. It seems to be the only one that quickly and easily syncs with my Google calendar.
One question: if I install the app on two different devices that are linked to the same Google account, and set both apps to sync with my calendar, would I get double entries on my calendar if I have the same show list on both devices?
Suggestions/errors
It would be nice to be able to mark what episodes I have already watched.
The month is wrong. On the details screen for a show it shows 15/0/2012 instead of 15/1/2012.
The dates should be shown in the local date format.
Would be nice on the calendar page to be able to go back in time, to see which shows were missed.
Onthe "On Air" page, the text doesn't always show completely when there are more than 2 lines. However, it's not consistent. Some shows with 2 or 3 lines fully readable, whereas some only have 1 1/2 line??
An option to only search either US or UK shows?
In the filter option, it should be possible to filter based on words within a title. That way you won't have to remember if there is a "The" as the first word.
It's a good start, and it looks nice.

[APP] [2.2+] MultiView Gallery

I want to introduce you this App. Please give me feedback.

}
With this App you can make a wall of devices showing a gallery at the same time sharing their screens.
The App has 2 parts.
Server cfg. One of the devices plays Server role (and client role), whereas the others acts like clients.
Here you configure your wall, with rows and columns. First of all, you select you wall width and height and later you Start Server.
At the screen bottom you will see how many screens are connected. When the number of screens is equal to screens requires, the Start View button will be enable.
Then you can tap Start View to start Gallery in all devices at the same time.
At options menu you can configure if you want a carrousel and how many seconds between image changes.
To configure the images to show, you can change the content of the file “demo.txt” that will be create the first time you start a view or create another one with a url for every line. Files must be created at sdcard.
There are 3 buttons more to change screen display, select the one that better adjust to your needs.
- Screen cfg. Here you connect to the server and wait
In this part, you only have to set the server ip or domain. It’s better to have a dyndns.org domain to avoid use IPs numbers. When click connect you will receive the position of this device at the wall.
There is a manual option to set the position of this device.
It works better with wifi connection.
In order to quit author, you must buy Pacosal License App.

To show several images in several devices at same time using all the screens.
If you have a shop or so, you could put this App in serveral devices to show your images and people will see a different shopfront.
Or maybe you have 2 or 3 mobiles or tables and want to see big images.
...
Nice idea of app
Good job:thumbup:
Sent from my Sony Walkman to yours

[Daydream][4.2+]Wakeup Daydream

Hello everybody!
Would you like to use your tablet as a live billboard showing the current time as well as the RSS feed of your choice with large fonts that you could read from across the room ?
It is useful for:
a) Night watch
b) Glance at the screen from across the room when you prepare to leave to work.

One thing the app doesn't try to do is be another application that shows temperature, or integrate with aggregation services.
Features:
You have full control over most of the aspects of the application, here are some of the features:
a) whether to show the hour in bold or not
b) color for hour / minutes and 12/24 hours format
c) color and font size of the headlines
d) fade-in animation for the free version (2 more animations on the PRO version)
e) refresh interval
f) it does not integrate with Google / Facebook etc, you have to type in a valid RSS feed URL.
This uses the Daydream functionality added in Android 4.2 thus will not work if you have an older version of Android.
It does not install an Application icon, you have to go to Settings / Display, activate the Daydream functionality if it is currently disabled, then you will see a new entry - Wakeup Daydream. You can then configure it and set it as default.
I have set the Daydream to start when my tablet is connected to the charger.
Animations are nice to have, but they use a lot of the processor power. Please set the Animation to None if you want to minimize CPU usage.

PS: I have decided to write this app when one morning I had to make a long detour because the park was closed due to bad weather. Had I known this in advance when I left home (it was the first news on the local news website) I would have saved 10-15 minutes of my time. I like to leave my old Huawei tablet on the night stand and use it as a night watch + glance from time to time to it to check the news as I get ready to leave to work.
I hope it will save you some time and keep you more informed

Big Launcher is an application designed to support older people to use smart phones more easily. Big Launcher includes an interface with icons and large text to help older people can see easily. In addition, you can pin contacts and applications to the home screen to make it easier for older people to use quickly, without having to perform many operations. Young children can also use the phone more easily thanks to this simple interface.
The main reason people have trouble with touch screens is that app icons are too small for their hands or eyesight. So, if you can't help your grandparents touch the right app to open, you can install BIG Launcher to make these icons bigger and easier to use by showing only the mechanical options. copy.
Main function
