[ROM PART][DEV] Extended Power Menu - T-Mobile Sidekick 4G

This is designed to be for ROM devs, not for regular users. if you don't understand how to use these, don't use them! and always have a backup handy.

I have added Extended Power Menu in, but the way that it works requires a modification of some system files that only make sense to add into new roms.
android.policy.jar and framework.jar can just be placed in /system/framework/ and they should work just fine.
The part that needs to be edited is your framework-res.apk. I have attached a modified framework-res.apk that works, which is a modified version of Ayo's themed gingerclone framework. it's easiest for those who are just starting to build a rom to just theme from this framework instead of modifying it.
For those who want this and are already on a rom and don't want to change, you can push the 3 files to /system/framework/ and reboot, and it should work just fine, however it will have the gingerclone icons/theme.
For those who want to edit their own framework-res.apk so they don't have to retheme it (not recommended), follow the instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811532
it's probably easier to pull the changed images from your framework and push them into this framework, rather than trying to add the changes into your framework.
Credit to untermensch for the guide I followed, and credit to dr. honk, as I used his bionix frost theme as a model for the changes.
it will take a bit to boot after you push the files, as it has to rebuild the dalvik cache, so just wait for it, and adb logcat to see if it has problems.

Inverted AOSP Style Black Taskbar & Notification Menu for Fresh 2.1.2

Linked below is a MetaMorph to apply an "inverted" AOSP style black taskbar & corresponding drop-down notification menu for Fresh 2.1.2+.
Special thanks to koricua74 for the great idea and doing the tedious task of inverting all of the various images, icons, etc. I took those images, then applied the various XML, 9patch, and smali edits necessary to complete the job, so this is a nice collaborative effort.
If you are running any sort of mod for removing the battery, clock, or both from your taskbar, they will return with this mod. You can simply go back and re-apply any of those mods after applying this "theme", to re-remove them if desired.
MetaMorph tends to have trouble applying changes to multiple framework files in a single morph, which this mod includes, and as such, applying the MetaMorph may require multiple tries. If your phone freezes / reboots when attempting to apply the final step, it may come back up with only some of the mod/theme applied, such as only partially changed icons, etc. If this is the case, apply the MetaMorph again, this time, only selecting the final sub-theme, 'framework-res.apk'.
XML MetaMorph Control File <--- Apply using the latest MetaMorph Application
THM MetaMorph Control File <--- Apply using any older MetaMorph Application
As usual, your initial boot will take some time as your cache is rebuilt. Always NANDROID & reboot after applying.

JCS, please flash Darchdroid so we can have your amazing talent...

This has been done as a MetaMorph so as to prevent undoing other changes to your setup. There's no way of knowing what other changes you may have applied, and flashing via recovery would end up reverting you to stock otherwise. That's why this is done as a MM.
is there a way to make it so we can see the % on the battery also?? thanks i love this mod!
edit: sorry i looked over at darchdroid task bar and its the same so nevermind this post
figured out how to add a zip. here are the files jschisurf. they are the proper file names already as i just copy and pasted your file names. thanks for the great mod again!

Do you just install all the APK's and it works? will this work on the [System] FTS V0.2 + 04 Preview [UK 145 GB 2.3.3]?
Should work on that system too
Check the installation guide inside the package
Small fixes in framework and SemcGenericUxpRes, please download again

i pushed all the .apk's but on reboot, the phone process goes into a force close loop. and the power button resets the device rather than bringing up the power menu
Just to help out ive packed the latest version into a flashable update.zip for use in clockwork recovery.
Download Here (REMOVED)
P.S This is untested, all I did was package the supplied files.

Though the zip installs just fine.

You were probably using the Reboot mod right? Push the default android.policy.jar and framework.jar to your phone

Do I have to be rooted?
@thomassafca there's a adb shell line in your 'how to' that is incorrect:
busybox cp -R /sdcard/SemcMusic.apk /system/framework/
It's should read /system/app/ instead of /system/framework/
Just a heads up.
Regards Dousan...
Ohh by the way it looks very slick indead, nice work mate
Did it with root explorer. If anybody else does it with root explorer please remeber to move the files to /system/ first, then set permissions and then move to /system/framework/ otherwise you might end up in a bootloop. This only regards the two files going to /system/framworkl/

Great
One question, what's the name of the background that you changed to black in your modded apk's?
Regards Dousan...
I've installed a CRT animation onto my stock SE firmware, will this conflict with yours and mess up my phone? Or can I just overwrite it with no issue?
I recall pushing a framework-res.apk onto my phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065789&highlight=CRT this one infact, all I installed was the animation.

[MODS] All kind of mods for Photon Q asa-14 deodexed

Here i will post my small creations, mods i collected of the net, and made installable zips or i made them myself from icon packs in windows, of them for Deodexed ASA-14 on Photon Q.
Install zip tru CWM of TWRP (don't forget to make Nandroid, you never know)
First one is Emoticons :

making more icon mods that look little bit nicer, if anybody whants to use them, no prob, i post them here as you can use them for ZIPTHEMER, and as flashable zip for ASA-14 DeOdexed.
As time passes i will change more and more icons in the framework and systemUI untill there's a day ALL icons are not stock anymore.
Mod-pack.zip is for ZIPTHEMER
Mod-pack-update.zip is flashable for TWRP or CWM in recovery (install zip)
What i did so far seperate of the Emoticons :

so what exactly comes with the last two zip files? do we get the battery circle, all red icons in notifications? also if i am running the base rom from from pwnyourace, will this work? Thanks for the work
if you use the file for zipthemer, i should work on more roms, as with zipthemer you need to update edify with you're flash rom,
and zipthemer will build the new apk with icons in it, so you can flash it in recovery.
as with zip themer you only have the red toggle icons in notification fuild,
if you use my install zip recovery, it's possible you will also get my 1% bat, but i didn't test that one as i whant to put as much as possible something different in the mod pack in time

Thanks a lot,bro.. :good:
Your emoticons will gonna replace the old ones or it's an addition?
replace
Too bad that emoticons doesn't work on ASA-10 :/
I hope you don't mind because I made a blue version of your toggles Not all files, only main toggles are in package.
- Blue Toggles.zip - for use with ZIP Themer on ASA-10 and ASA-14.
no, i don't mind, ilike it also when other people post here there mods.
but also post for wich version it is asa10 ASA14 or the coming JB
I guess if you're gonna use it with Zip Themer it should work on both ASA-10 and ASA-14. I'm using it on ASA-10, you're using your red version on ASA-14, files are same, I just made them different colour in Photoshop.

[Mod] [XT1060] [02Apr14] VZW Dev Ed Holo Blue Purge (Sliders, Checkboxes, etc)

This is my work in progress for the guide listed here. Credit goes to @enricocid and, by proxy, everyone else in that thread. I've finished framework-res.apk, systemUI, and Settings. I don't know if I feel like messing with the rest. Perhaps I'll do MMS.apk in the future for the lulz.
1. AOSP-like Status Bar with 4G instead of Verizon's gaudy one. (credit @chaoslimits)
2. White accents in lieu of 33b5e5 (most notably check boxes, toggles, volume sliders, etc)
I have not modded apps like dialer mostly due to the fact that I like them being different. The blue isn't distracting and awful everywhere, but in the system itself, it is.
(backup current Settings.apk/odex, SystemUI.apk/odex, framework-res.apk)
Instructions: Download, unzip, replace, set permissions rw-r-r (recommend using TWRP's file manager or adb since replacing your framework-res.apk is going to make the normal UI unusable if you perform this within android), reboot
No ETA on a fully flashable recovery .zip
I also have only a Verizon Dev Ed to test on, and, no, this will not work on XT1053/XT1058. I may create one at a later date, but probably not for 4.4.2 since I don't think I'll be flashing for a while. Sorry, folks. The guide I've linked in the intro paragraph is more than enough if you're adventurous enough. Both SystemUI and Settings are Odexed now.

Yeah I don't use Xposed for that very reason; I don't want to sacrifice ART runtime.
Your mods should on ART as long as you you odex the files. You didn't want to do the mod to SMS app? That one was fairly risk free too.
Also you can take the zip from my AOSP mod and replace the files for an easy flashable zip.

Get me a copy of your framework-res.apk, systemui.apk/odex, settings.apk/odex and I'll have a look when I get time. You may need to re-odex yourself, but I believe my device may be able to odex it if the $BOOTCLASSPATH is the same. At any rate, I'll get you a deodexed and an odexed version, just asking you don't get your pitchfork out if the odexed fc's.
Is you internal storage bar in Settings/Apps blue or white with this mod?
Thanks.

[Apps]SlimKat 4.4.4 MMS, Dialer, SystemUI, Contacts, and LatinIME iOS 7 Like[Apps]

Here we go, this is my first thread so take it easy on me...LoL
What we have here is modified MMS, Dialer, SystemUI, Contacts, and LatinIME apk's from @NoSpamDan 's Slim-skyrocket-4.4.4.build.5.95-UNOFFICIAL-20140621-1555 build to resemble the iOS 7 for the Samsung Galaxy SII SGH-I727 Skyrocket. I will do my best to keep up with the newest builds, may be kind of hard since he builds them so fast LoL...:good: If you decide to flash this build use these Slim Gapps and if you want to use the iOS 7 font then flash this HelveticaNeueLTCom.zip after flashing the ROM and Gapps. Then reboot and set up your Skyrocket the way you like it, apps and what not. Once you get all set up, then you download the modified apk's below and save them to a location in your phone where you can easily find and access them as you will need to get to them soon enough. I also suggest you backup your ROM and copy your MMS, Dialer, SystemUI, Contacts, and LatinIME apk's to a folder on your SD Card and rename them MMS.bak and so on. Now that you've downloaded the modified apk's and backed up your SlimKat 4.4.4 ROM and "stock" apk's, open up your favorite file explorer, I use Root Browser myself, but you can use ES File Explorer or any file explorer of your choice, go to the folder you saved the modified apk's in and copy the first one of your choice, (MMS, Dialer, Contacts, and SystemUI apk's are located in/system/priv-app and LatinIME.apk is located in /system/app) copy it, then go to the location mentioned above for the respected app, once there I delete the apk in the respected folder, paste the modified one in place and CHANGE PERMISSIONS TO 777!!! Now just reboot your skyrocket and the modded iOS 7 png's should take effect after reboot. Now just repeat everything until you have all five of the modified apk's in their respected folders and you should be good to go. :highfive:
I will go back through and check to make sure I haven't missed anything, after hours of staring at white icons on white background, it gets hard on the eyes...
Modified APK's Located in /system/priv-app:
Contacts.apk
Dialer.apk
MMS.apk
SystemUI
Modified APK Located in system/app
LatinIME.apk
If you want the signal icons to the left and the iOS 7 Battery icon you need to have the Xposed Installer by @rovo89 and @Tungstwenty and the older version of iOS 7 X Module by @ibocharov installed as well, which I suggest doing to get the full feel of the iOS 7.
