So, more WiFI tether is sweet, but I don't like the sound of that. I'm going to say it's a bit of a bluff. How many stories have you heard of people unable to get a replacement be cause they rooted? I've never heard any.

As with other phones, if you're rooted, you still have the manufacturer's warranty through HTC.

Can anyone link to the details of the hotspot upgrade?

uh says who? Rooting/jailbreaking while legal, doesn't mean they have to warranty their product anymore, muchless verizon having to give you service anymore. Read the fine print, it is there, and has been posted in a couple dozen threads now.

Yes that comment was very unnecessary and that's why in the several months I've been on here I have seen thos forum go to ****. Probably just another one of those people who hides behind the internet but wouldnt have the balls to say something to someones face.

The EVO 3D is a piece of **** and can suck balls. Only phone I would consider outside of my Epic is the Samsung Within and even then I will still keep my Epic

I know it's cool dman. I take things lightly. I get their twitter feeds and when I saw i997 I got a little trigger happy cause usually samfirmware only puts out legit roms no leaks, so I thought our time had come, then I checked and it said Rogers, so I said meehhh crap, I'll just post it in general so people can know. Didn't bother to see if it had been released yet or not... also ignored the part it says it was from July 2011. hahaha. Oh well. By the way, I'm using your CatyRom... good stuff!!!!!!!

Ics for everyone else?

Every day I'm reading and hearing about all the other phone makers announcing ics for there devices. HTC, Motorola, LG. Even the tablets. I'm getting a bit impatient for ics on our skyrockets, I love this phone but damn! And I'd rather not put a custom rom on it, I like the stock builds from the maker.

BTW: I'm pretty sure that his use of "you people" was directed toward the people impatiently waiting for ICS. Things become a bit more clear when you put away the cards.

According to at&t q1 of 2012 so by the end of april

Naturally they are going to tend to the more popular phones first. SG2 base will get it way before we will. It will probably be April (optimist), if AT&T doesn't push back the release. Like they did with the SG1. Then it could be Christmas.... or, next Valentines day.

Q1 2012 (if we are talking fiscal year), would be Oct 1st - December 31st. So lets hope they are just talking about the first quarter of the calendar year. In that case yes Jan 1st - March 31st (although this is Q2 of the fiscal year).

Rogers also has said Q1.. so if AT&T is slow you can always install the rogers rom...

Every other manufacturer has ANNOUNCED that they will be bringing out ICS but none have it out yet. I don't see any point of you making a fuss about something that was promised, if they were all actually USING it before us then that would make sense.

Since somebody's gotta do it, I've stayed stock and it appears that your source was correct! I'm downloading an update right now. 20891KB. I will update when I know whether it actually works this time!

It works. Just recieved and installed the update. Appears to be UCLA3 GB update.
