where can i find the lastest firmware update in the samsung website i heard it can fix the gps problem

The future is the only place you will find an official fix. Dated for september release at best.

Samsung firmware world. Google it. Not on samsung website. Its not an official release yet. And it does not fix gps. It helps a little but really not worth it. Just be patient and wait till september when it becomes official. That's probably your best bet. I am running it currently and not impressed really, plus there are issues with apps missing after updating.

True i almost pissed my pants the first time i saw it LOL.

End of September could not come any sooner. Its really frustrating when im on the highway and the phone is telling me im on some side street and not on the highway....damn thing wont shut up.

I really don't know what the fuss is about. i don't use my gps that much but i did the quick gps fix and it seems to work fine. it finds me in seconds and locks in. i don't lose the signal anything. I think maybe setting are not set correctly. who knows who cares. no need gps. google maps is just fine for me to look up stuff. I just want Froyo. It be so nice. For now stock android is fine too.
Edit: Try this new firmware just released this morning. Maybe there is a fiix. I haven't flashed it yet. I phone is all mummy-fied. Just applied the phantom-skinz and wrapped it with white tape. I will try it later this evening though. I want to know what is new on the new rom.

Also, look before asking. Do some research - the info is here if you read some threads.

Gingerbread Preview

I find it surprising that more people aren't talking about the gingerbread preview and that it hasn't even been posted yet. I want to give it a try even if it is an early build.

CM7 for G2x isn't ready for primetime yet. Just flashed it and had many issues. Had to go back to stock.
The gingerbread build seems just about complete besides the camera app.

I know. just saying people would prolly care more if CM7 weren't around. if I've learned one thing about xda its buggy cm7 keeps people happier than no cm7.

Guy, you really are clueless right now. There's a difference between trying to guess when an update is coming and knowing that a leak is out there but hasn't been posted and asking why not ... Within the Vibrant community when there was even a clue to a leak, people were on it til they found it and it was posted. Didnt matter if it were an early build or not, it was posted for the community. If you don't get that well I can't help you.

I guess it just comes down to a matter of opinion really. I think that its silly to go out asking for the leak because its either with a) someone who can/wants to share it or b) someone who can't/won't. And if the answer was in fact 'a' it would have no doubt reached our doorsteps by now. This is the internet, how much faster do we need it to get to us...
Now all arguments aside. I'm not sure why I targeted this thread in particular but I was bored during break at work and in a sour mood lately thinking about reality. So if I'm off character here or in any way wrong on my thoughts then feel free to ignore me. I guess I was kinda looking for senseless argument from the begining alongside my sour disposition and in that manner I was childish. I apologize for that. I'll back off as I should have never really gossiped here to begin with. Sorry.

Then he said:
"Not home today but tomorrow... would be a nice treat for G2X users for the weekend no? ;-)"
Sounds promising. CM7 is great and all, but i myself wouldn't mind playing with a stock GB build either.

[Q] Anyone else notice something different today?

Przekret didn't post a leak. Friday is just about over..... Going thru Przekret's posts, he's had a leak for us every Friday since UCKJ2. Could Samsung and At&t finally be DONE! I've been patiently waiting every Friday for some new leak, or some news about GB being done, Today "diddly-squat"

I feel something BIG happening soon. If all stays quite, we should have GB in the middle of December, instead of January 2012. Well lol, the only Xmas gift I want is the Official Gingerbread.

I imagine the Infuse forum will get very quiet when the official release day comes. Leaks will be replaced by skinned and modded "officials". There will be no more fights, no more AIDS, crack, or Bernie Goetz. A few futile ICS leaks will appear only to be eventually overwritten by GTG's Official UnGingerbrick because they'll never work right. Ultimately we'll start living vicariously through the Skyrocket threads to hear them ***** about how AT&T is taking too long to release ICS and how the bluetooth doesn't work on their leaks. It will be a strange new world.

I tried looking it up, usually the japanese have it uploaded on a japanese website and have the leak uploaded, but I don't even see that.

Let's hope they skip 1 more week just to be certain it's done.

But that hasn't been updated since October.

They've been working hard. UCKJ2 - UCKK2 we received pretty steady leaks. For them to skip a week doesn't make sense, their out of time to be skipping updates. I would assume their going thru the final phase "I hope".

Man, even gtg came to put a fork in me... it was a mistake... and for your information it's been 5 months

I know it's cool dman. I take things lightly. I get their twitter feeds and when I saw i997 I got a little trigger happy cause usually samfirmware only puts out legit roms no leaks, so I thought our time had come, then I checked and it said Rogers, so I said meehhh crap, I'll just post it in general so people can know. Didn't bother to see if it had been released yet or not... also ignored the part it says it was from July 2011. hahaha. Oh well. By the way, I'm using your CatyRom... good stuff!!!!!!!

Just got back from MCRD Parris Island yesterday, and it's obvious I've missed quite a bit. In fact I'm sure everyone but maybe two are gone. Anyway, just curious what's new. Did hear about the 2.3 update, but that's it.

We soooooo have ICS on the infuse now. I was shocked when I came back after like a week and boom. Ice Cream Sandwich!

everyone is still here that was here four months ago...except maybe dman but he still helps out alot so i wouldnt say he left.
Gingerbread was officially released...although i think it was pulled out due to bugs, not positive if its been re-released
Entropy made a kernel for gingerbread that supports hdmi out (allthough its not in the OP, you have to search through the thread for it...around page 45 i think, he was gonna put in a cwm flashable package but ics got released and he got busy with that) if you want the kernel, just download it extract the zimage from the file, and just use that zimage to replace one that is already in a cwm flashable package
ics was brought to the infuse thanks to jt, however entropy is the one that is developing cm9 for xda...if you go over to rootz wiki youll find jt's cm9
quite a few new devs have began to pop up
i think thats the main things since januaryish that has really happened...

Edit: Well i did not actually do it lol, just did some research and got it going. Dont forget about the 5+ other new roms.
