yeap devlogic is right, this option is where he said, maybe you're using a rom that displays this option elsewhere

Download "Spare Parts" from the Market. There is an option which turns off the vibration of the touchkeys.

No working!!
Guys I even tried Spare Parts....but still no luck ....I mean even if other keypad vibration's are disabled but only the UNLOCK vibration can't be disabled. Any other way ????
PS: My phone is not rooted and is the original 2.3.4.

Settings > sound > haptic feedback. Check that off to turn off touch key vibration.

this stops haptic feedback except the vibration when unlocking screen...i also search for a possibility to get rid of that, anyhow i don't like these vibrations...
the formerly described option in location&security is also unknown to me, my NS doesn't have this point and i am on stock too!

Yeah I tried all options...this is soooo irritating...I really hope somebody comesup with a solution

Solved
Ok I've found a solution....
Use this amazing lock screen..Agile Lock....very smooth and get rid of the vibration

Widgetlocker problem

Hi,
Since two days I'm a happy and proud Note owner, but there's one thing, that makes me really go crazy:
I installed the program "Widgetlocker", because the standard lockscreen is quite broing. It actually works quite good, but sometimes the standard lockscreen still apears. Not instead of the widgetlocker, but additional. So I always have to unlock two lockscreens.
Does anybody else has got this problem? And how can I fix it?
I tried to find a solution in different forums and in the program configuration, without sucess!
Thanks for help!
Edit: The error apears mostly when there's a pop-up (gtalk e.g.) or when I plug in the charger....
I turned on root helper and home helper in settings, that fixed it for me. I'm on Stock Rooted XXKK9 if that helps.

I presume you have set the lock screen to "none" in the actual phone settings too?

It IS really irritating. Sometimes it's OK, but other times it just comes on.
Have turned off the lock screen option, but same thing happens. Someone please help!

My widgetlocker works fine. Been using it since day 1. Hmm.. Sorry. Not sure how to help.
chrcad,
Your problem seems related to the fact that Android is not having enough memory left ans simply closes "useless" apps and considers that WL is part of them. To prevent that to happen, simply check in advanced settings the "refuse to suspend WL" box and Android will look another application than WL to close

Thanks @ everybody for the help, but unhappily it's still not working properly.
The problem always apperas, when the phone's sleeping and a gTalk message comes in.... but ONLY, when the gTalk ppop-up is activated......
Any (more) idea?
you are leaving it running all the time aren't you?
I use to have the same problem, very rarely but it was still annoying. I have put a lock on widgetlocker so if I ever close all programs, widgetlocker is still running. It's not happened since but it's only been a few days so I'll see.

Some pop-ups cause this if they're designed to appear underneath the stock lockscreen rather than dismiss it.
For now:
1) Easy Wake Mode disables the system lockscreen
2) WL Settings > Long-press volume down for Experimental > Aggressive Dismiss stock lockscreen. This should work, but it's not well tested yet so it's off by default.

Please some one help me

Hello guys I have note 10.1 N8000 4.1.1 each time I rotate screen or when I long press any icon on home screen or app drawer it vibrate
I try to disable everything related to vibration in settings > sounds but that dosen't help can anyone help ? Thanks in advance

Make sure everything related tl vibrate is disabled. Even check accessibility settings also. Then once you know all of it is off, restart the tablet. Hopefully That will do the trick. If not, there might be an app causing it.
There is a setting in power saving that allows you to disable vibration system-wide, overriding all other settings and apps that may vibrate.
I did but didn't find anything related to vibration in accessibility and it still vibrate I think I will live with it :\

I think this is haptic feedback! ... turn that off and it should be resolved!

[HELP] Haptic feedback/all vibration suddenly stopped working

As the title says, about 30 minutes ago, haptic feedback stopped working.
So far, I've toggled "vibrate on touch" off/on in both DISPLAY and LANGUAGE & INPUT, moved the slider for "KEYPRESS VIBRATION DURATION", done a handful of restarts to no avail.
I imagine I could do -adb fastboot reboot to get back to stock, but wanted to see if anyone else is having issues and/or fixes.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Ended up doing a complete wipe and reinstall stock - still no haptic feedback to be had.
Again, any help would be appreciated.
I had to do a RMA due to the defective vibrator motor in my N5. Maybe yours has died?

Might be a stupid question... but did you happen to install another keyboard?
I installed Swype and lost haptic, even though it was enabled. I cant remember if I unchecked/checked it or if I checked/unchecked haptic in the "stock" keyboard but one or the other fixed my issue.
Thought I'd throw it out there.

@jbdan I'm wondering if I will have to. Just checked and it doesn't vibrate when ringing nor receiving messages (the settings indicate that it should be)

@trendiggity no keyboards installed and I just checked, the N5 doesn't vibrate when it rings/messaged.
No problem doing an RMA for my N5. Already shipped.

screen rotation option disappeared after lolipop update

anyone know what's going on with this? after I updated with the OTA zip to Lolipop, the screen rotation option has disappeared completely.
So it's not there?

Enable and disable rotation a couple of times in settings and you will get it back.

It's neither in the quick settings, nor in the proper settings menu
i guess there is no other way but backup and factory reset
You need to go to Accessibility > Auto-rotate screen and enable it, then the icon will be shown on quick setting.

I'm not sure what vibration you are talking about?
The questioner is talking about that vibration you feel each time you type a letter on your keyboard when texting someone or writing an email. Some of us find this kind of... "Golly gee whiz, I have a smartphone, Ma!"...annoying.
Settings --> Advanced --> Language and Input --> Select Keyboard.
If Swiftkey, then select Typing --> Sound and Vibration --> Keypress Vibration --> Off
If Google, then select Preferences --> Sound on keypress --> Off
Go to Settings -> System -> Language & input.
Swiftkey board -> Typing -> Sound & vibration -> disable
Google Zhuyin Input -> Keyboard -> Sound on Keypress -> disable
Vibrate on Keypress -> disable
