I'm the owner of a LG Optimus 2X
The one feature it miss, is a notification led. There is few program out there to do so, and just did mine as I wasn't satisfied with battery use of others.
So I'm wondering is the O 3D also miss this feature.
And if yes, can someone try my app and tell me if it's working on it ?

Hi i just tried to installing you app but the Optimus 3d came up as uncotpatible and yes this phone has no led notifcation hope this helps you,would be great to see the same app for the 3d.

hi all i rooted my device witht he method supplied in this forum and it worked a treat but the chainfire3d per app setting in the application it self isnt working.. i have installed the nvidia drivers to play tegra game and this worked great, but some apps dont like this so i need to make it use the normal drivers that came with the phone, YET it just wont detect it when i boot the game it still uses the default profile and not the per app custom profile. please help me with this issue

Make sure the default settings are okay:
Go to Chainfire3D → Default OpenGL settings
All checkboxes should be unchecked
Make sure "Use plugin" is set to "None"

What happens when you do the following:
Go to Chainfire3D → Per-app OpenGL settings
Select your desired application and configure it
Press back to go back to the list of apps
Is the application you just configured in the list under "Configured apps"?
If it is, select the application - are the settings the same as those you set before?
Also what CF3D driver are you guys I'm using - the normal CF3D one or the (BETA) EGL driver?
I'm using normal CF3D one and have no issues.

hello fellow xda friends im in need of help please, i cant get the per-app part of thsi app to work and need assistance if you will. i have done so far
-installed Chainfire3D Pro 3.3
-installed the CF3D drivers (without beta egl + with)
-installed the nvidia pluging
-left default openGl settings alone
-installed tegra shadowgun
-edited per-app settings to load nvidia plugin
-went to start the game and the game says i dont have hardware to run it (no tegra)
this made me very sad, so i then went into default setting and changed that to nvidia and the game boots just fine... i need to get the per-app settings working so that i can set it up for each game as some games that aint tegra flicker when playing with nvidia drivers and i would really like not to have to boot and edit this every time i wanna use a game
please help me if you know what the problem is

Chainfire 3D Pro 3.3 Per-app Open GL settings not working
Got Sony Xperia Pro mk16i here & tried uninstall, reboot the re-install & still can't get Per-app Open GL settings working. Only tried it with Fruit Ninja THD. Using Default Open GL settings works fine with NVidia Plugin. Hope they can get this fixed....

I have the same problem aswell on my nexus hd2 v 2.7 and cf3d v 3.3
Do mention the app you are trying on too. Some apps are known to NOT work with Chainfire 3D

Even I have installed CF 3.3, for which the per app setting is not working for shadowgun THD & Pinball THD & recently for HORN.
When I checked the XDA OP of Chainfire for CF 3.3, it says the following:
"INSTALL ON HC/ICS/JB AT YOUR OWN PERIL ! - ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO WORK ON THOSE"

Hey guys, I have a Galaxy s2...recently i rooted it and tried out a couple of roms too.....then i came across Chainfire 3D...i installed it and tried Riptide with the shaders installed but the game just does not respond! nor does any other Tegra or Adreno game it opens, the sceen stays blank for a while and then it comes back to the app drawer again help!
Galaxy S2 is not ment to play Tegra 2 games. Though with that rom, some work good and others dont. I can give you a link on how to play it on your phone another way though if you wish.

I will start it of with a couple questions...
Question: How to unlock Bootloader?
Answer:
Question: How do I get the LG Lucid to boot into recovery?
Answer:
1. Hold down the power key for 2 seconds
2. You will be presented with a list of phone options, select the one called "Restart"
3. A warning message will appear with two options, select "OK"
4. After the screen blacks out (about 15 secs after step 3) you will see the LG logo.
5. As soon as you see the LG logo hold down the Volume Down key and the Power key for 12 seconds, then release.
6. You will now be presented with a blue screen that has an Android Emote in the center and some text in the top left region of the screen
7. This is the boot recovery screen.
If you LG Lucid has 4.0.4 and got the OTA update you can use the attached file and it will root it for you.
How to root droid 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich on LG Lucid 4G:
Download and extract the attached file to your PC;
Update LG Lucid 4G via OTA
In the folder "lg-lucid-root!" run "RunMe.bat" and follow the steps.
Now your phone should be rooted. Enjoy!

Apps you can freeze on the Lucid
With the upgrade to ICS and a built in way to disable apps, I have been able to disable quite a few of the bloatware apps on my Lucid. I am pretty sure this list is complete, but let me know if you have different results.

Some of these you may have to uninstall the updates to be able to disable the apps. I have found that the leftovers from GingerBread (like the Dialer widget, Setup Wizard, Car and Desk Home) cannot be used nor uninstalled. encryption fail...
I need help!! I first put my phone in debug mode. then i ran runme.bat file. then i pressed 1 for normal. then it finds the phone. goes through the steps. then asks me to click restore. then the phone comes up and asks for an encryption password. WHAT DO I PUT HERE? my phone isn't encrypted. I tried it both by putting in some random password and putting in nothing, mount failed. Program says succsesful. reboots phone. I have no root. i have ice cream sandwich 4.0.4. I followed maverick950 instructions. will someone please help me with this.
Is your USB connection set to Ethernet/Modem? I think it might be set to mass storage, at least that is what the mounting notice leads me to believe.

Hi solidsnake. Thanks for your reply. I am the previous poster's mother and have been trying to help him root his Lucid. He has tried setting the USB connection to both Modem and Ethernet. They both yielded the same results.
Any other ideas?

I am not sure, I did not see it when I upgraded my phone. Is the usb connection set to "ask each time" or something like that?

OK I found the issue, when you run the bat file, you need to select 2 for special mode. Apparently normal mode is only for specific phones.

Locked bootloader
so i see we lucid users have a locked bootloader... this makes me sad panda!!... so question! has any of the devs or anyone had any luck unlocking the ics bootloader on the lucid? i would looooooove to have cwm and flash custom roms.

I don't think the device is popular enough for the regular devs to take an interest in it.
I got the lucid for my wife rooted and googled cwm for and found that it has one available. Sadly every attempt has failed. Any ideas on this?

Unfortunately this device has a locked bootloader meaning if you modify the system mount in any way, it will go into a boot loop. I wouldn't hold your breath for a rom or unlocked bootloader any time soon, unless I can get my hands on an extra Lucid.

Will freezing/disabling the bloatware send my lucid into a security/brick mode?
Also, will installing cwm recovery do any harm?

After further investigation, and a great amount of nail biting trial, I have determined that as long as it is not a critical app used for the operation of the device, just about any app can be frozen using rom toolbox pro, and not affect the operation of the device. If any others are wondering, I am posting this to help out, as there is not much resource for the development or use of our chosen device.

I've tried this option but it just gave a factory reset option. Any other ways I can unlock the LG Lucid ICS bootloader?
Rollback to gb. Then root, install Cwm, and flash cm10. It is amazing. I couldn't imagine going back to stock ics

Just wondering if the root for the Lucid is the same as that for the Optimus Exceed, which is apparently the prepaid version. The model numbers are the same even - VS840 and VS840PP.
I've been seeing these annoying popup ads on my G2X using the standard Android browser. Popup ads display at the bottom of the window and remain there even as you scroll down. Takes up 25% of the screen.
Well, today I went on a search-and-destroy mission to discover what app was shoving these %#$^# ads at me! I looked through processes/services and noticed that even after a clean boot, Camera 360 was running as a BACKGROUND SERVICE, even if I did not start it. I Force-closed the Camera 360 Service and VIOLA! No more popup ads!
Camera 360 is from China and has had serious privacy violations in the past. Now it just sucks.
Some of the apps there do ridiculous stuff.
Wow - when I uninstalled Camera 360 the Android browser became a LOT faster!

Download airpush from the play store, it will tell you which apps you have installed can push advertisements to your device.

I tried a few apps like airpush - they were incapable of detecting anything in Camera 360 because the method is so unusual.
