I'm beginning to see descriptions of apps in all kinds of languages (french, spanish, german, etc), but if i visit the app page in the browser on the PC its just in English ???

I've noticed this as well. Are you rooted (and if so what ROM/kernel are you on), or are you running the same stuff you had in the box?
I get the same, 100% stock unrooted.
I have experienced this on my android phone market (though it might be to do with me having downloading the new market apk).

Same problem, on prime 1.5. Change list always seems to be in the correct lang though.

i don't think there is a chinese version of this hardware yet but if the sgs language packs work (they should) then it could be ported from the i9088. gtg should know more about it, maybe checkout infused rom, I ha e a choice foe something that. looks like it may be chinese, also you can probably import the i9088 keyboard and get rid of the Samsung keyboard on the phone.
Hey thanks for the quick reply. I am not only looking for something to input the Chinese (it can be done fairly easily by install Baidu Input etc), I am looking for rom that totally (and natively) showing in Chinese, for example, Browser would be call "浏览器.

there is.some.sort of Asian language in infused but i don't know which. keyboards look like

i knew what you are asking, it is a matter of getting the language files from an Asian sgs phone the i9088 is a Chinese captivate and certainly has what you are asking for. it can be done but if it isn't included already but important not sure how to do it.

ahh, let me get back to this. I know there must be an answer in either the captivate section or the i9000 section. this has been asked before on those phones. its actually a fairly common request.
Yes, pretty common request. I would like to put Chinese into the phone, I heard that you can "port" the language pack from the i9000 but I need instructions, not sure if this can be installed via a .APK file, or a ROM flash is needed. Thanks and I will keep looking!
How can I make the voice search to speak the answers like in the Nexus 7? That doesn't work for me, it only does a google search..

Not all searches will be answered with built in tts, just some pre determined ones for example weather forecast

ive tried various English variations of system language still cant get it to speak to me.
tried asking all the basic questions about weather and who the president is and asking it to define words.
WW version in canada.

Does anyone know where the offline language packs are stored? I see that US English is pre installed and weighs in at 22MB I only need UK English so how can I bin the US pack and reclaim 22MB?

If I'm not mistaken you will find the files in /data/data/com.android.inputmethod.latin/files(/dicts). That's where at least the dictionaries for the keyboard go to. I think /data/data/com.google.android.tts/app_patts holds any of the offline voice recognition language packs.
If it works by simply backing up stuff and then restoring it into the proper location is up to your testing. I think the best bet would be to try and decompile the Google APKs to try and figure out from where they are downloaded, and what's downloaded.

Scheduler will be very useful.
Example:
At the night, notifications aren't very important (while we are sleeping). Since 7am app could do, what was designed and finish their work about 11pm.
as @adamo000 said, add schedule. example: turn off data at 11pm sync at 6.59 am

Great idea. As @adamo000 I think a scheduler could be good. I'm using Agenrt as a scheduler, I hope the app will not wake up data when agent disable it at nigth.

Very good app. At this time I use tasker - but it is very complicated.
I miss one option in settings [ ] Don't enable mobile data after screen is on
Useful will be also checking WiFi connections. If phone is connected to network, app won't do anything. If it's not connected, app will do what user want.

Hi, I recently rooted my phone and everything went well. but I am facing a strange issue after rooting. I can no longer read text in regional languages like Hindi, Punjabi, etc.
I cannot read any regional content on chrome, Facebook or any other app, seems like my device doesn't have those fonts or they got deleted.
What should I do?
