Hi I have a 3G Xoom 3.01
I have tried to root it with file from http://www.mediafire.com/?sh21r7975bf4icl
After issuing
fastboot flash boot rootboot.img
and then
fastboot reboot
The Xoom restarted but is locked on Dual Core screen
It doesn't respond to any key and looks like is not recognized from PC
No fastboot message on the screen
What I can do?
Please help!
I have followed steps on this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=981578&page=1
Reflash the stock official files from Motorola and start again. Good luck.

Hello
I have a XT920 with root and this night I received an update for my XT920. After update my phone becames in loop while booting. I found a lot of threads about this problem because the phone was rooted. And to solve this problem the solution was flash another rom to the phone. I started the procedure below:
Fastboot flash boot boot-sign.img
Fastboot flash system system-sign.img
Fastboot flash recovery recovery-sign.img
Fastboot flash flex flex.img
When I executed the second command, I noticed that the first activity was erasing the partition. I wait about 20 minutes in this activity, but it doesn't finish. So I disconect the phone from the USB cable.
Now when I enter in the boot menu, no action works and the phone reboot. So I can't enter in recovery mode, fastboot mode and can't do a factory reset on the phone. All other the procedures (with fastboot, RSD NetConnected, RSD Lite) that I find in the forum needs the fastboot mode to recover thhe phone and flash the ROM again.
There is another way to save my phone? Can somebody help me?
Tks!
ps: sorry for my poor english.
Same Problem
I have the same problem,
Hi! today my xoom froze and when I rebooted it manually it didn´t booted completly it got stuck at the motorola logo, I tried to enter recovery mode but again I got stuck at the unresponsive blue teamwin screen, then I tried to flash the recovery image directly from adb on my pc, but when I typed adb devices it said "device not found" which is weird because I unlocked the bootloader and rooted it using the adb and fastboot commands directly on my computer, so I´m on a dead end. please be so kind to help me, please do.
My xoom is a 604 wifi model (wingray), it´s rooted, omnirom 4.4.4, twrp recovery. my drivers are updated as well as the android sdk tools.

(Android debugging bridge)
Use fastboot devices when device is in fastboot mode

Greetings all.
I've been trying to get my XT1032 rooted using various methods (Superboot, custom recovery, CF Auto-Root) but each time I run
Code:
fastboot flash X Y
fastboot does nothing (it won't flash to my phone, but if I unplug my phone it will quit), and the fastboot menu hangs (I have to press the power button to get it to reboot).
As mentioned before, I have an unlocked Tesco 16GB XT1032 running stock Lollipop.
Does anyone have any ideas?
EDIT: I have double checked the udev rules, and my phone is detected fine, so it's not those.
hello xda community
i have an asus zenpone 5 device 501CG with sku as ww. So i soft bricked my device by flashing wrong firmware initially . i used adb sideload to flash the firmware but i got status 8E error. what happened was that boot loader got corrupted as far as i know but i do have access to recovery. when i try to access my boot loader what happens is i go directly to my recovery. fyi please don't tell me to try other key combinations i have already tried all possible key combinations . so my problem is that i cant access my boot loader so i cant use any fast boot commands. and i am stuck with my stock recovery so i cannot flash any custom ROM as far a i know. i have heard that this is somewhat of a common problem in asus devices with intel cheapset my bootloader was droid boot. so in a nutshell i can access my recovery so i have adb commands however i have no access to bootloader therefore fast boot commands wont work for me . is their any way i can reinstall bootloader using adb because i have an .img file of my bootloader . your help will be much appreciated .

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Does not sound like anything ill was done, as it did not connect. This could be a cause of one of three things:
Phone is not in the bootloader
Even if in the bootloader, fastboot mode is not activated
PC drivers for fastboot may not be appropriate (or maybe even an outdated fastboot program)
To help you further, can I get the make, model and carrier (if bought through said carrier) of your phone?
Many thanks.
