[Q] [Request] Need to return to Stock Wifi Xoom from Bigrushdog's update technique - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would think that I could just flash the original wifi images and then update back to normal but I remember it updated it with a bootloader patch that turns my xoom into a Verizon xoom. Is there any way just to turn my wifi xoom back to a normal wifi xoom all stock?
P.s. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

yes. Flash the official Motorola images for 3.0. When done the notification for ota update to 3.1 will come up after setup and connecting to wifi. Don't worry about the bootloader patch, it gets replaced when flash stock 3.0 with moto images.

you're awesome, thanks!

[Q] Uk 3G Xoom and US Rom

Thought I'd ask this one.
I am a UK 3G xoom owner and learning flashing, rooting, adb quite quickly.
I have flashed the Telstra stock to try and update using Simba90s directions (separate thread) and recovered.
I have flashed the US Verizon stock image and recovered from that (sweating buckets).
I have reflashed the UK stock and am working perfectly again but without SD support or any 3.1 enhancements.
My question is, as I seem others have done it, can I flash the US WiFi images to my Xoom and update as usual? No other adaptions, just stock.
I know I will lose 3G but am not worried about that. I want to check functionality and reflash UK stock when update is ready.
Flashing the Verizon stock images caused the "Failed image LNX 0x0002 / RSD mode 2" and deep panic.

As I said in your other thread, once you have AU 3.1 on you can flash tiamat 1.1 and keep 3G. I have 3G with orange working just fine.

[Q] Going from rooted 3.1 to 3.2 on my 3G

I have a US 3G Xoom that is rooted on 3.1 and running a custom kernel.
What would the quickest and easiest way to get 3.2 right now? Root or not doesn't matter I'll root it later if needed. I got the OTA but it wont work with a rooted 3.1 and custom kernel so I didn't even try.
Thanks!
Oh in case anyone see's this and wants a quick easy way I've done the entire process in about 10 minutes.
Went to MotoDEV and got the official stock image for Android 3.0.1 and did fastboot flash and wiped my Xoom then relocked with fastboot oem lock
Then I took OTA to 3.2 and I'm good to go and have since reunlocked and rooted

Help!: Problems updating Xoom to ICS 4.0.4

Hi,
I just received my Motorola Xoom Wifi (running ICS 4.0.3). I am trying to update it to ICS 4.0.4, but I am having a problem doing so.
After the update is downloaded and the Xoom restarts, I see this message in the top left corner: "Entering Android Recovery Mode Reading ODM fuse:1", then the android is on its back with a red triangle and exclamation mark in it.
What does that mean?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
The red triangle thing is your recovery complaining about the update.zip,
If you are rooted, the ota update will not work. If on stock, hold on to wait for another ota to pop up and install. If your boot loader is unlocked, it might be of a reason... share more details, logs if possible..

I have the same problem as stated above.
My XOOM was unlocked and rooted with a stock Honeycomb ROM.
My son accepted the ICS update when offered yesterday which downloaded OK.
The XOOM is now in a loop. If I reboot using Vol+ and Power it boots into the old ROM, then reboots and tries to install the update but fails with the 'Triangle/Exclamation mark' symbol. I can't get out of this.
I presume this is because it was rooted as stated above, but what do I do now.
Do I have to remove Rooting? If so, how?
Can I remove the update package? How?
All help appreciated.
I had the same problem when I tried to update my rooted Xoom. Fixed by rebooting the Xoom (vol up + power), then going into CWM to clear the wiping both cache and dalvik cache. This stopped the loop and everything is back to normal.
I'm thinking whether to forget the UK update and GEDify instead and go to JB.
Problem Solved
Thanks for responding!
It's a brand new, unrooted Xoom (I believe). I solved the problem by unlocking the bootloader and flashing the Stock Honeycomb Rom (US GED Firmware). I'm currently running Jelly-bean
The instructions for unlocking the bootloader and flashing the stock rom, can be found by googling: GEDify your non-US WiFi Xoom – For n00bs

Same here. Decided to GEDify since I have no idea when UK will get JB.

[Q] Wifi not working on stock 4.4.2

Hi!
I have Razr HD from germany.
I was on Stock 4.1.2, that update from OTA to 4.4.2 and now can't connect to any networks.
Short history:
I was on 4.1.2, unlock bootloader, root, flash some CM10 then broke display and buy new phone(Moto X). Several weeks ago i completly broke my Moto X, by new glass(from XT926) and power up my Razr. I want Lolipop, so i start googling about how to install on Razr HD CM12.1 and notice, that i need upgrade to stock 4.4.2, and than install CM12.1.
I have done mistake and flash using RSD stock 4.4.2 from XT926(VZW_XT926_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_CFC_1FF.xml). Don't clearly remeber what i do after that. as i know, i try install CM11.1, but it rebooting in start screen. After that i notice, that i flash wrong rom.
I flash using RSD 4.1.2(9.8.2Q-8-XT925_VQUL-1601_USERSIGNED_S7_USAVANQUO2DE02C.0R_LSAVNQJBO2DE _P014_A004_CFC.xml). All was working fine(wifi, bluetooth, gps, no rebooting). I upgrade from OTA to 4.4.2. Bluetooth is working, but wifi cant connect to networks. I see in settings all available networks, but can't connect to them. And if i flash using TWRP CM12.1(or CM11) in welcome page it rebooting. if i disable wlan module(i try to rename it to wlan.ko.back) all work fine, but wifi and bluetooth not working,
Can anybody help me? I stuck on this and don't know what i need to do to solve this problem...
I attache logcat, dmesg and kmsg....
Guys! I solve problem!
I sppose, that after flashing ROM from XT926 file WCNSS_qcom_wlan_nv.bin changed in persist.
I download other version (i cant post url) change them in persist dir , and now my wifi work!
